Let me just say... if you’re staying at the Hilton Clearwater Beach and don’t stop into Carambola, you’re doing your entire vacation wrong. Seriously. Reevaluate your choices.

We rolled in hungry, mildly sunburned, and honestly questioning if we even liked each other after a long day at the beach. But within five minutes of sitting down, all our problems melted away like butter on a pancake (which they do have, by the way.. delicious ones).

Our waitress Taylor was an absolute gem. She had the energy of a triple-shot espresso and the charm of someone who’s clearly too good for this planet. Not only was she handling our table like a pro, but she was also training a new employee, Cynthia, who was also fantastic. Together they were like a buddy-cop movie, but instead of fighting crime, they were fighting off our hunger and thirst with relentless kindness and amazing recommendations.

Taylor was so on point, I honestly started wondering if she secretly owned the place. And Cynthia? If that was “in training,” then I can’t wait to come back when she’s fully powered up. She was sweet and very attentive.

The food? Slapped. Everything came out hot, fresh, and plated like it was about to walk onto the Food Network stage.

Long story short:
📍 Location: Beachfront perfection.
🍽️ Food: 10/10 would eat until I can’t move.
👩‍🍳 Service: Taylor and Cynthia are national treasures.
🎉 Vibe: Chill, breezy, with a side of “I’m never leaving.”

Go to Carambola. Ask for Taylor. Tell her the weirdly enthusiastic table said hi. 😄“

“Two enthusiastic thumbs up for Pete's Diner! They very kindly arranged to deliver a turkey dinner today to my brother (who lives in Dunedin and is recovering at home after surgery). Well, they delivered a delicious meal at 2:30pm and it was truly a HOMEMADE dinner. It was EXCEPTIONAL! From the turkey, to the gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie with whipped cream--it was a homemade feast. We are deeply grateful to Pete's Diner for the extraordinary Thanksgiving dinner they prepared, and delivered!!!!“

Ronni and the staff are good, caring people. The value ion the food, the service and the warmth of the owners and staff make it a "gotta come back again often" place. At this time there is road work being done in front, that makes it a bit difficult to get to, but it is worth the effort. It's right on the Dunedin Trail, so you can go by bike, or walk a bit further than you are used to on Douglas..“

They had live music and really nice dart boards 🎯 the place wasn't that big but it was the perfect size & very welcoming 😎 the main reason I wanted to leave a review was because of their food. I had their special which was a Prime rib 😮 with french fries on garlic toast, it was delicious, there fries are amazing. Everything that my friends had they also loved.. All of the staff were amazing very friendly. Even the cook came out and asked how we enjoyed our food. The prices are unbeatable. I had dinner and a drink for 20 bucks prior to going to the blind shark. We had gone to another bar and it cost me 30 bucks to have two drinks.🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣😎..“

We sat in the middle room, on the high top, next to the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this place. Also, to the lady managing food leaving the kitchen, which made everything work, we had to resist screaming we have jazz hands every time you yelled "I need hands" LOL... We met Eric who is fabulous and we pretty well ended up spending the day and night there, (it’s not typical for us to hang at a bar). After Eric left, we met Tyler and Brandon. “It was my first time coming there and I went through the drive through. I don't remember the gentleman's name but he was very helpful. I asked him, how would you compare the sandwiches too? Because I was new. I'm more of an up north kind of person, so I asked him, are they the same size as White Castle? I gave him a little chuckle. He said, no, ma'am, but I understand how you're comparing it. But the information that he gave me about the food and how to order and how to pair things was very informational, answered all my questions. Made a great recommendation for my first time. The food was delicious, very juicy, very filling very fresh but most of all, the experience and the customer service is what got me will be coming back again.“
