“My fiancé chose this place for a random date and I was really glad he did. From the photos from others on Yelp it looked like a place to unwind and relax so I couldn't wait.

The photos didn't lie. This place is nicely tucked away from the Atlantic and San Pablo craziness. Walking in I felt transported to another country. As cliche as that sounds I don't have any other way to describe it. I love the items imported straight from Turkey for sale (the staff are true salespeople as they really wanted me to purchase something. They were beautiful but I didn't see anything that I HAD to have). In the back. the wisteria hanging from the ceiling and the middle eastern sofa for lounging and maybe for some snacks and hookah made it seem so cozy. I loved all the decor.

The first thing we got was the Turkish Coffee that was heated in hot sand. The guy serving us, I wasn't sure if he was the owner or not was really great. He warned us not to ingest the coffee grind/powder/sludge on the bottom but that we'd really enjoy the taste. That was perhaps the best tasting coffee I've ever had not to mention it was nuclear hot.

We got the Charcuterie for 2 which had lebna or lebneh, cheddar, gyro meat which I thought was shawarma but it wasn't, grape leaves, hummus, fruits and crackers with a side of honey and pita bread slices. I don't remember having lebna before but I loved it. There were some extras we got like the mozzarella balls, the ful medames, olives, and I believe some kind of date cakes. Trust me. We were good after eating all of this. My fiance also had Lentil soup which he said was nice and simple.

“Okay, so I’m not sure if my review is THE MOST helpful ever (it’s based solely on their cookies) but I think I just ate the most transcendent cookie I’ve ever had. A family member was on their way back home from the airport and picked up a few items including a German chocolate cookie and an Oreo cookie (and one other that I have yet to try), and she offered them to me. I hadn’t tried their food before, so I wasn’t expecting anything, but I took a bite out of the German chocolate cookie and it transported me to heaven. It was so dense and packed with flavor and just absolutely delicious, as was the Oreo version. I *would* warn against eating too much of it in one sitting, as they’re both huge and will most definitely give you a sugar rush, but it’s so worth it. I’m a bit devastated because I live too far to visit Jax regularly, but the next time I’m there, I’m stopping by to try more of the menu! Amazing job to whoever created the recipe and baked these!“

“Portion sizes might have gotten smaller from what I remember. Before COVID the portions were bigger. Food quality & Atmosphere is still great. The servers are nice and attentive making sure we were good on drinks. Parking might be very busy“

“I went there and had their bacon cheeseburger. This was the best burger I tasted fluffy bun juicy patty wasn’t smashed at all. I had to take a box of fries home because I was full just off the burger. The prices are amazing here. I normally don’t write reviews but this deserves a 5 star from me“

“They make amazing sandwiches! My favorite is the Italian and Club. The owner and staff are always friendly, and it’s my go-to spot whether I’m dining in or grabbing takeout when I’m in the area. I just wish they were open on Saturdays!“

“Only stopped in for coffee and pastry with a friend. Espresso chip brownie was sweeter than I liked but dense and fudgy. Chocolate croissant was delightful but would have benefitted from being warmed. We had a pair of cappuccinos that arrived lukewarm and a drip coffee that was perfect. Space is wide open and on the communal side, a bit echo-ey making conversations hard to hear. Service was excellent.“

“This was my first time visiting JJ’s Cafe. Immediately I was greeted by the friendly owner and gave him my order. He asked my name and asked me if it was my first time in. I said yes and he let me pick out a cookie (which is delicious!). While I sat and waited for my food which wasn’t long at all I noticed a group of gentleman visiting with one another. The owner was also speaking to them all. Two other guests came in to order after me and they greeted them by name and had a quick but personable conversation. The gentleman cooking knew their names too and so did the woman working as well. I got the Italian Stallion which was delicious. Overall great prices for delicious fresh food. But what made me write a review was the service and the atmosphere. I saw a sign that said “leave as friends” and it seems they certainly practice that. Thank you for my lunch and pleasant service!“

“Le Petite is such an elegant and decadent experience every time we visit! My family loves their delicious entrees and treats, fresh breads, and always amazing beverages. My bf and I went into OMG Cafe & Tea and the customer service was beyond, I was saddened there wasn’t more customers there. It looked as their family ran and each one of them was dedicated to the craft. They had more than teas, offering full meals + appetizers as well. Really adorable teddy bears to top your tea. “St. James Cafe is fantastic! The customer service is great and the prices cannot be beat! My favorites are the dirty chai tea (chai tea latte with espresso) and the egg salad sandwich (the eggs are from free range chickens :)). I would definitely recommend St. James Cafe!“
