:c I don’t think pesto is supposed to have jalapeños. I did not notice till the day after because I saved my sandwich for later. I don’t mind jalapeños, But visually it is green and chopped up, so if you had like an allergy, you might not be able to notice. It makes me think somebody in the back was hitting their pen a little too much and mixed up the different green sauces. But that’s OK Because food service is hell, I hope they’re doing OK.“

They speak English fluently and are happy to help you navigate the menu, which is not in English. While this is not the place to go for Mexican-American style food, it is a great option for those looking to try authentic Hispanic cuisine. The restaurant also sells Hispanic groceries and has a pool table and a bar. It can be quite busy on the weekends with Hispanic customers, and it is open late like any other bar until 2 am on the weekends. Don't be intimidated if you are not a native Hispanic person - everyone is very friendly and helpful. I ordered it I think on a Wednesday and needed it by Saturday and let me tell you Brew-Bakers made it happen. The cake was beyond amazing the look, the taste the everything. “Okay, so I’m not sure if my review is THE MOST helpful ever (it’s based solely on their cookies) but I think I just ate the most transcendent cookie I’ve ever had. A family member was on their way back home from the airport and picked up a few items including a German chocolate cookie and an Oreo cookie (and one other that I have yet to try), and she offered them to me. I hadn’t tried their food before, so I wasn’t expecting anything, but I took a bite out of the German chocolate cookie and it transported me to heaven. It was so dense and packed with flavor and just absolutely delicious, as was the Oreo version. I *would* warn against eating too much of it in one sitting, as they’re both huge and will most definitely give you a sugar rush, but it’s so worth it. I’m a bit devastated because I live too far to visit Jax regularly, but the next time I’m there, I’m stopping by to try more of the menu! Amazing job to whoever created the recipe and baked these!“

“We just had a lovely lunch here. We ordered the Portofino sandwich and it was delicious! I ordered a Coke and it came in a cute little bottle. Our server was very attentive and refilled the water glasses. Our sandwich was made on focaccia that is made in-house and it was so good! It was a great find.“

“This was my first time visiting JJ’s Cafe. Immediately I was greeted by the friendly owner and gave him my order. He asked my name and asked me if it was my first time in. I said yes and he let me pick out a cookie (which is delicious!). While I sat and waited for my food which wasn’t long at all I noticed a group of gentleman visiting with one another. The owner was also speaking to them all. Two other guests came in to order after me and they greeted them by name and had a quick but personable conversation. The gentleman cooking knew their names too and so did the woman working as well. I got the Italian Stallion which was delicious. Overall great prices for delicious fresh food. But what made me write a review was the service and the atmosphere. I saw a sign that said “leave as friends” and it seems they certainly practice that. Thank you for my lunch and pleasant service!“

“Only stopped in for coffee and pastry with a friend. Espresso chip brownie was sweeter than I liked but dense and fudgy. Chocolate croissant was delightful but would have benefitted from being warmed. We had a pair of cappuccinos that arrived lukewarm and a drip coffee that was perfect. Space is wide open and on the communal side, a bit echo-ey making conversations hard to hear. Service was excellent.“

I am not from the area.. helped a friend today and looked up vegetable bowl near me.. this was the first on the list.. I liked the name and made my way.. I was greeted by Ryan ..then the rest as soon as I walked in.. explained it was my first time.. and was told they have been there 20 years.. the kindness.. professional manner I was spoken too was BEAUTIFUL.. you could FEEL how much they Injoyed their job.. as the owner had a smile of pride taken for all his work over these years.. I ordered a Greek salad.. and honestly will say.. that it was by far thee BEST Greek salad I had ever had.. one can say it just a salad.. the freshness of EVERY item makes the difference.. each bite was good.. and filling.. This establishment and its team DESERVE recognition and acknowledgement for ALL their hard work and beautiful disposition of who they are.. “Found this one on accident, and it’s easily got the greatest selection of craft beer on tap and canned of anywhere I have been in Jax. Great energy from the employees, and awesome recommendations.
