“This is my 3rd trip and the food is always delicious and flavorful. This is the best Jamaican spot in Jacksonville, in my opinion. The atmosphere is a vibe and they even have brunch on Sundays. If you’re in the mood for some delicious Jamaican food this restaurant will not disappoint your taste buds.“

They were really on point fromThe customer service, food, & enviogment/setting. To start, the owner was welcoming & extremely helpful (we were indecisive). The menu had so many great options. We end up ordering the soup of the day which was chicken It was hot, fresh, & homemade 4 sure & my goodness it was sooooo delicious 😋☺️ especially bc of the weather.❄️🥶 We also got a beef patty (10/10), lobster roll w/side of mac&cheese (8.5/10) the 2 meat belly buster Oxtails & curry chicken with sides of rice & peas & cabbage (the proteins were cooked very well they were tender & flavorful the rice itself was also very good. The cabbage was ok, honestly it didn't meet my standards. #1 I prefer my cabbage tender w/a little firmness & seasoned. (Proteins- 9/10, rice- 8/10, cabbage- 7/10) The last things we tried were the cold press natural juices & they were both extremely good. (Mango Pineapple passion. THE BEST) (Drinks- 10/10) Overall I will definitely be back if I want some good authentic food. JUST TRY FOR YOURSELF ☺️“

“Really nice menu selection for drinks and food . The have a great daily happy hour and the live music was great on New Years Eve. Will definitely be checking out Bahama Breeze more often ! Zach the GM was super nice and got us sat quickly!

“Anytime we go out of town for the weekend we always look for Small "Mom and Pops" authentic restaurants that are in the area we're staying. I happen to look for Jamaican restaurants as that is my husband's go to home food and happen to find Choppin Coppin which had great reviews, So we gave it a try.. but I must tell you if you don't pay attention to the GPS you will pass it by just like I did because it is the last store front in a very small Plaza and parking is very limited. CHOPPIN Coppin is 1000% authentic Jamaican cuisine that is without a doubt undeniably delicious. I ordered the medium oxtail with cabbage and rice and my husband ordered the large ribs, oxtail and chicken with rice and ginger based salad. It was absolutely delicious and very flavorful to the point my husband ordered a third plate to take home for later. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food without a doubt this is a must try to enjoy while in Jacksonville....“

“Went for a bridal shower lunch and really enjoyed myself. The service and food definitely deserve 5 Stars. I was able to sample a lot of the menu and everyone really enjoyed their food. I don't even eat shrimp but I have to comment on how well it was fried and seasoned because everyone in the group was raving about it. I ordered the veggie rasta pasta which was absolutely delicious. I also had some of the oxtail rice and macaroni. Very well seasoned I just wish there was more meat in both. I also had a mango mocktail which I really enjoyed. Will return again soon for more yummy food and try something off their cocktail menu now that I've given birth since my visit.

Vegetarian options: The veggie rasta pasta was just what I needed. Super flavorful with the right amount of spice. Will order again.“

“I try to support local businesses in my area when I can, so I decided to try this food truck I’ve seen around town called Taste of Jamaica. I went with their jerk chicken combo. Everything on the plate was amazing. Super hot food, very moist and flavorful chicken, and the plates are big. I got the small plate and can still eat off it twice. Highly recommend stopping and getting lunch/dinner if you see this truck. Thanks for providing me a delicious meal🙏“

We’ve been going here for years but recently started ordering catered pans of chicken as a way to prepare lunch meals for work. For a little under $40, this was the perfect spot to take 2 adults through the week!

We ordered a 1/2 pan of jerk chicken and added brown stew gravy and let me tell you… ?

The chicken is smoked with jerk seasoning and we found it to be a medium spice with a nice continuous heat (especially if you like a kick). We like adding the brown stew gravy to add some sweet and savory notes.

Parking: Smaller parking lot, but free. There is parking also available at other neighboring businesses in the plaza.“

The oxtail were cooked to perfection; perfectly tender just the way I like. And don’t get me started on the gravy!! Chefs kiss! My gf ordered the veggie plate because she is vegetarian (obviously). The Mac and cheese was delicious and you can tell love was put in it, but let me tell yall about them GREEEENS!!! Baby, don’t leave without them. All in all, the experience was wonderful, customer service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was cozy. 10/10 recommend.
