“Our server Lucy was wonderful. Making sure we had including making sure our soup was the right temperature and advising us about what was in our food choices. My ahi salad was fine, but I personally would have preferred a sesame based dressing with seared ahi. My husband loved the Island pork tacos with the coconut rice.“
“Oh my GOODNESS!! I was trying to find something good to eat and it be some where I never been again. Driving south on US1 and I asked the phone for stewed oxtail near me. 1.9 miles in the opposite direction! So glad I turned around! Quaint little place in a plaza on the East side of the street. The cashier was just over the top nice as could be. Some customers as it was not even maybe 430 on a Wednesday. I'll stop and just say the meal was over the moon!! Oxtail was so so tender! Collard greens ? ? and the fried plantains...GAAH!!!! Got my go to place now for St Augustine! I bet their Red Velvet Cake is the bomb! I kept staring at it! Next time!!!!“
“The food was good! I have the patty melt and it was fabulous. Perfect bread to meat and cheese ratio. The bread was toasted perfectly. I had a crunch with every bite. The bread never became mushy. My husband had the 12pc shrimp dinner. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the taste was good. The nachos were so good. They had plenty of cheese sauce. My chips never became soggy. That was pretty awesome. They were extremely busy but the servers were all on their game with every table. Loved it. We will come back again for sure.Parking: We they are located on St. George Street in St. Augustine so the parking is difficult to find a good spot. You have to walk a little ways but it's worth it.“
“What can I say about Little Margie's? This small café is so near and dear to my heart. Every time I come to St. Augustine, which is usually once or twice a year, I HAVE to come here. It feels like coming back to a piece of home or just my peaceful comfort place. As I said before, it's small but don't let that deter you. It gives the most amazing beach shack vibe! The owner is Filipina so you might be surprised to find typical Filipino fare on the menu with some old fashioned Southern favorites. My favorite thing to order is the corned beef hash breakfast with a mimosa and my hubby loves their biscuits and gravy. I've been there many times over the years and tried much of their menu and this I can assure you: ALL of it is so good!Go for the food. Go for the incredible vibe and the friendly banter. Just make sure you go!Grab yourself a seat at the bar or an inside table. If the day is warm and the weather fair, pick a table on the sunlit porch. Settle in, soak up the easy, beach atmosphere and let the ocean breeze carry your worries away in this little slice of beachside paradise.“
“We are always on the hunt for a locally owned restaurant to try out. We stumbled on the Back 40 on the way to another destination. So glad we did. We ordered a grouper taco and a cuban sandwich. Both were delicious. If you're in St Augustine, you really should check this place out.“
“Mangos Mangos is delicious! Such a refreshing menu of unique dishes. I had to try the corn cakes with mozzarella cheese in the middle topped with jerk shrimp and other bold flavors. Just wow comfort food with a kick of flavor. I look forward to returning!“
