First time in 30 years having nasty rice at a Chinese food place. Never in my life have I had nasty fried rice, but Jacksonville gone surprise you every time. It's almost like Rice-a-roni it has like a gravy smell on it- not Chinese fried rice smell. I got the dinner combo which costs less than the lunch special ? but yea the meet was good. I would say only get white rice with meals here.Added one overall star bc I returned and got the meal w/white rice. And it redeemed itself....read full review
The food was great, the value was high, but the service was exceptional.Let's be frank, take out places specialize in quick turnaround and minimal interaction and that is both good and proper.The service at China 99 on University broke this model with a front counter that provided a superior interaction.Well done, folks.
