I had put in that this was a birthday dinner for my husband and before they would at least put a little card saying “happy birthday” which was a nice personal touch and gesture. But the last few times it hasn't happened, including our anniversary. I don't know if it's the restaurant overlooking it or if it's this app. But small things like this are why I still prefer to call and make a reservation.”

“My wife and I are definitely foodies. We have been to some of the best restaurants in town, and the Lake Mary Social has been on our list to try for over a year. We finally got to try it about a month ago, and unfortunately, I believe we hit on an off night. To their credit, however, the management reached out to me and my wife (almost immediately after hearing about our concerns) in an attempt to make things right. This is the mark of excellent leadership. I applaud the owners and management for their outstanding customer service. It is clear that they have a passion for what they do and for the customers who dine at their restaurant. In their attempt to make things right, we were invited back for a meal with the intention of showing us what The Lake Mary Social is supposed to be. They succeeded. The atmosphere was fantastic and the service was excellent. Overall, the character of the restaurant is very well executed. They have done a lot of positive things with the space. As soon as you walk through the door, you are transported to a 1920’s style, fine-dining establishment that is a far cry from the old and seemingly run-down shopping center in which it is located. They have truly elevated themselves above their surroundings and do a phenomenal job of allowing their patrons to escape and lose themselves in what I would describe as a “bubble of class.” My wife and I started with a yellowfin tuna tartare that was so incredibly balanced in all five palatable flavors it seamlessly blended the sweet, salty, bitter, umami, and even a punch of sour from the occasional hint of diced kiwi. For the entrees, my wife had the prime filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. I sampled it and could literally cut it with a butter knife. The seasoning was superbly sparse— not overpowering the natural flavor of the prime beef but rather enhancing it. The dish was finished with a mix of flawlessly executed, al dente, roasted vegetables. Each bite had just the right amount of crunch, and when paired every so often with the juices from the steak, creates a perfect palatal experience. I had the chicken cordon bleu. The chicken was moist, flavorful, and balanced incredibly well with the smokiness of the ham and the savoriness of the bleu cheese. The chicken sat upon a generous, but not overpowering bed of pommes puree. The unifying force behind this dish was the clearly scratch-made béchamel sauce. This sauce was the creamy, savory link that brought the aforementioned flavors into exquisite unity. Dessert was a strawberry basil panna cotta and a banana pudding. My wife had the panna cotta and I had the pudding. Each of us believed that our selection was the best of the two, but the truth is that they were both excellent choices. I do think; however, that I have to give a leg-up to the panna cotta. It checked all the panna cotta boxes: texture, flavor, and balance. It was light and fluffy yet firm, fruity and minty yet not too sweet, and overall wonderfully refreshing. Our meal at The Lake Mary Social was delectable from start to finish. Based on this meal, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine-dining experience in the Central Florida area.”

I haven't written a Google review in forever, and I am literally writing this one while sitting at the table after having an incredibly delicious breakfast with my hubby for Valentine's Day! Alli, our server, was fantastic, and we already can't wait to go back and ask for her next time! My hubby had the cookie dough waffle, bacon, and fried potatoes. I had the apple fritter French toast with blueberries, bacon, and scrambled eggs. My hubby likes his bacon wiggly, and I like mine cooked until it's crunchy, and they cooked everything perfectly! We also started with the cinnamon bun cold brew, holy frijoles, it was DELISH!! This is our new favorite breakfast spot and we will be bringing family and friends FOR SURE!! Thank you Alli and chefs for a fantastic breakfast!!”

“I visit the Heathrow location almost every day. My experience is usually good. Today, however, was not so good: the floor was dirty, the tables were not clean, my wife's coffee order was forgotten, no napkins were provided with the order, and no napkins were in the napkin holders on the counter. When I brought the dirty floor to the attention of the person who took my order, he showed no concern. An additional staff member entered the shop and observed the dirty floor and tables, but no one seemed to think it was their responsibility to take action. I'm not sure if a manager was on duty. After my wife and I finished our meal (20 minutes), still no floor or table cleanup took place. I wanted to share this as I love this business and would not want new customers to lose the opportunity to love it if this may have been their first experience. I tried to reach out via the Contact Us form on your website, but it does not allow a comment to be submitted. I continue to be a huge fan of CFS and will see you tomorrow.”

Ordered the Shrimp Vermicelli and summer rolls which were amazing. The fried rice was tasty; and cooked without soy sauce or dairy! Pho portion was large and fragrant.

“Today my daughter and I enjoyed Mother’s Day tea at this lovely tea room. From the moment we walked in, you could feel the warmth and friendliness from the staff. We were greeted right away and taken to our table. My daughter tried a caramel tea and I tried a Hawaiian tea, both were excellent. The food was nothing short of spectacular. A special treat today was the live harp that was being played when we walked in. What a very special touch for Mother’s Day. I had a wonderful conversation with the owner and what a true gem she is. “They charge the listing price for the boba drinks only if you order them with ice. When we started to order them without ice, they started to charge us extra. We did pay extra, but tonight, we went and ordered the same thing, as we always do, we pay the extra without ice, but now the drinks are laced with water and they taste like nothing. “Absolutely amazing. The customer service at the Lake Mary location was so great. Last week we wanted pizza and someone recommended Filomena’s to me so I ordered online. When I ordered it told me it would be delivered within an hour which was perfect. A few moments later I got a text message saying it was going to be 2 hours. Because of this I called to cancel and spoke with Justine. She was great and canceled the order for me. About 20 minutes later she called back to let me know that they deliver in house vs using DoorDash when using the website and that next time we should call to order to skip the third party. The fact that she called me back to tell me this is such great customer service. She needs to be given all the praise or a raise 👀🤣. Fast forward to tonight when I called to place a deliver order, she remembered me and was so great again. Even called the manager to see if they would deliver a little farther out of their radius. I seriously could not recommend you guys enough.”

“I recently decided to check out Stacked Brownies after having dinner nearby. The thought of indulging in some brownies had me excited, so I made a quick stop. Upon entering, I was greeted by what I believe was the owner, who was incredibly helpful and offered a wide selection of treats. Being very particular about my brownies, I asked her directly if the brownies were chewy, as that's the only kind I enjoy. She confidently assured me that they were indeed chewy. I even double-checked, stressing that I don’t like brownies unless they’re chewy. Again, she confirmed that they were.

Feeling reassured, I purchased two brownies for $8. But when I got home and took a bite, I was immediately disappointed to find that the brownies were cake-like, not chewy at all. It was frustrating because I had been so clear about my preference. Unfortunately, since I really don’t enjoy cake-like brownies, I ended up throwing them in the trash. It was a waste, especially considering that I could have made the chewy brownies I love at home.

The moral of the story? If you're like me and only enjoy chewy brownies, Stacked Brownies might not be your best bet. However, if you prefer your brownies to be cake-like, you'll likely find a lot to love here. The service was top-notch, and the location is perfect, conveniently situated right off Lake Mary Boulevard. While I appreciate the friendly service and wide selection, I just wish the owner had been more honest with me about the texture. I probably would have chosen something else and left satisfied.

“I’m not fond of this Starbucks location because it’s always so busy. However, when I do go, I go in hopes that the manager Caitlyn will be working! She’s always so kind, knowledgeable and efficient! She knows me by name and greets me every time I walk in. If my drink or food is taking a while, she makes it a point to get it to me as soon as she notices I’ve been waiting longer than expected. I always see her behind the counter working her butt off to ensure every customer is seen and heard. It truly is the leadership that makes or breaks a team and if you ask me, she makes it and then some. She’s one of a kind!”
