Supposedly known for Best Catfish in town. I am a catfish connoisseur, and this is not it. it was greasy and no flavor. I didnt care for the flour breading. The cod fish tasted better, not greasy but still not a fan of the breading. I tasted yellow rice, black beans, mashed potatoes, with brown gravy,NONE had flavor. I would not go back, because I had to doctor up my food and it was expensive just for 2 people 1 beer and 1 glass of wine was $66.. The service was good
Stopped in for lunch on our way back to the East coast from Tampa. Fried Grouper with grits and green beans . Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. Service was excellent. Fun atmosphere.
The wife and I both had fried Grouper with black beans and rice as the side plus the bowl of cole slaw & basket of biscuits. The Grouper was perfectly cooked and the portions huge - mine was an inch and a half thick. Each came with a tasty hushpupapy. With two O’Douls non alcoholic beers, tax, a 20% tip and a 3% restaurant fee for using a credit card the bill was $70 and worth every penny. Best Grouper in 19 years since returning to FL. We will return!
