“New owners and the name is changing to Kirin. One thing that hasn’t changed is the best Chinese food in south Florida. We had hot and sour soup, lobster with ginger and scallions, Peking duck and beef chow fun. The dishes were all excellent. I hope the new owners are successful as I can’t wait to go back even though it’s a 22 mile drive from home. They don’t have their liquor license yet so bring your own for now.“

“I live about 40 minutes away from here and have been going here for over 10 years. My parents are gone now but they used to take me here for special occasions and order 2lbs of char siu, 2lbs of pork, and 2lbs of roasted duck. The service, taste, and nostalgia is what keeps me coming back 😀“

“This was my second visit to The Dutch Pot Restaurant in Miami Gardens Fort Lauderdale, and it won’t be my last! The true gem of this place is the staff. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine, friendly interaction between the staff and customers – no impatience or condescension, just warm and welcoming service. It’s rare to find such a personable atmosphere! The food was, as always, incredible. I had the curried goat, which was perfectly spiced and tender, and the oxtail was rich and flavorful. Both dishes were spot-on! To top it off, we were given a tour of the newly opened, exclusive upstairs dining area (pictures to come!), which looks fantastic. Kudos to the owners for continuously elevating the dining experience here. Overall, this is a fantastic business that deserves to be replicated – amazing food, a welcoming team, and a beautifully designed space. “Don’t sleep on the Lunch Menu… those paninis are mind blowing. Everything from the fluffy, crispy bread, amazing fillings, and condiments blend together perfectly. It’s quieter and brighter at lunch, so a completely different vibe. Highly recommend!! Hubby loves short rib panini and I crave spicy vodka chicken or ya sista’s cutlet.“

“Had a great experience at this taco and tequila bar! The food was fresh and flavorful, and the tableside guacamole was definitely a highlight—it was awesome watching it being made right in front of us with fresh ingredients.

Antonio provided outstanding service throughout our visit. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, gave excellent recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. His friendly attitude and attention to detail really elevated the entire experience.

“Excellent!! I went Just Spoons for brunch. First I would suggest make reservations. This restaurant gets crowded fast. I had the grilled shrimp and fried catfish w/ eggs and grits. Enough for 2 people and it delicious. My daughter had the curry shrimp and grits awesome and flavorful. My severer was Sean was attentive answered questions about the dishes and the drink menu is like no other I had the brunch punch ( contains alcohol)and my daughter the sunset ( non alcohol) both excellent. This my first time at this restaurant and it now on my restaurant rotation.“

“The moment we walked in we were greeted with the most wonderful greeting by Tan. He was attentive, joyful, welcoming and showed so much excitement for our arrival just as if we were family coming to visit. Our waitress Mimi treated us just the same. Her service made us feel so comfy and welcome and she was also very attentive. When she introduced herself she even asked us for our names. Such a nice personal touch! The sushi rolls we ordered were absolutely delicious and fresh and the drinks were fantastic. The restaurant ambiance was bright, clean and spacious. And to top it off as we were walking toward the door to leave standing there was Mimi and Tan sending us off with their smiles and hugs. Tan, you are such a bright, joyful light! “I had dinner at the pompano beach outback near sample and I loved our waitress Virginia and also Brandon at the bar. This outback has improved its service 100 percent from a year ago loved Virginia so friendly and what a great personality way to go !!!“

“Really fun place. Located in the corner of a road in this nice space decorated very tastefully, feels like you entered a whole sperate world. The restaurant is interesting with basically only outdoor seating. We sat down. The Fifa game was playing, and it was nice, but way way way too loud. I couldn't hear my wife or myself thinking. The server took quite a while to come. I ordered appetizers right away (empanadas) and drinks. The drinks took about 5-10 minutes. After about 20-30 minutes they told us one of the empanadas was out and asked if we wanted a substitute. We said no. Then ordered the main. Which took about another 20-30 minutes. The appetizer eventually came , but with the main course (after almost an hour from when we ordered it, making it useless). They also did not provide any kind of free chips or the like while we waited for the hour. Either way, we got the order. I got the Birria Enchiladas, it was tasty, loaded with meat, and had a side of rice and beans. The birria meat was a little dry tho. Also it lacked any kind of cream on the top, and they were stingy with the toppings like the cheese. Still good. My wife got the birria burrito, also loaded with meat, but could've used more cheese and sauce or something. But it was tasty. It took forever to get out to get out server to come back for us to pay. Overall the service could be better. The food is great but needs improvement. Loved the vibe, but they played the TV way too loud. I would return tho as it's a good place overall.“

“We landed early afternoon & headed straight to Café Bastille-Fort Lauderdale in Fort Lauderdale for brunch. I'd heard rave reviews about this spot & it exceeded expectations. We kicked off with a passionfruit margarita & a bacon bloody mary, both bursting with flavor. For our meal, we opted to share the truffle croque madame with a side salad & breakfast potatoes. The toast was wonderfully light & fluffy, & the potatoes had the perfect crunch. We couldn't leave without getting a NY pistachio croissant. The entire experience was enchanting. I'm already looking forward to our next visit before leaving Florida.“

Fresh is always key but the food is hand selected. Pistachios from certain regions. Pork chops of a specific type. Prosciutto aged 24 months. Top notch! “This was the perfect seafood spot for crab legs! The AYCE option is a great deal at $58 per adult and $20 per child ages 4+. Everything came out fresh, and the lemon pepper wings were absolutely incredible. The crab legs and sauce were amazing as well.

The sauce comes in three spice levels—mild, medium, and hot. Medium was my favorite because it had the perfect balance of flavor with just the right amount of kick. We definitely overate and were pretty crabbed-out by the end.

The Nutella crepe cake was incredible—we loved it so much that we ordered three! We’ll definitely be back.“
