“Had a great experience at SALT, the food, the service, and the atmosphere were phenomenal! We ordered the king crab, truffle fries, gnocchi + steak medallions, ribeye, kids linguine, and the pina colada cheesecake- everything was so, so good!!!! We basically ordered everything our waitress recommended to us, and there was zero disappointment! Also- whoever makes the espresso martinis (I love you) amazing! 10/10“

“Absolutely love this place. My wife first got me into 99 Bottles through one of their Sunday community walks — a couple miles with a great group, followed by waters, mimosas, and New York bagels back at the bar. The whole thing is super well-organized and just has a great vibe. Bart (one of the owners, I think) is the man — welcoming, thoughtful, and clearly cares about building a real community around this place. The food’s great, the menu’s creative, and the service is always on point. We’ve met some awesome like-minded people through their events and it’s become one of our favorite spots in Sarasota. Just a genuinely good place run by genuinely good people.“

“Bar Hana is a wonderful place. Cocktails, food, atmosphere and service are each excellent and consistent. Classy yet casual. If you are a seasoned patron of establishments which fit this mold you will recognize the poor reviews for what they are. Bar Hana should be on your short list for a visit to Sarasota.“

“Awesome spot to hang out. They have awesome food with the best prices around. There are always delicious specials on the board by the bar. They have darts, chess, and tons of board games. Sometimes they have baseball games on which is one of my favorite things about the place. There’s also live music and trivia on weeknights and it’s a blast! Highly recommend.“

“We had a fantastic experience at Compass Bar & Chill -- thanks to our wonderful server, Cindy. She was incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home from the moment we sat down at the pool area. Cindy promptly took our drink orders and brought them with a smile, then followed up to take our food order. Everything—from the delicious fish tacos to the perfectly cooked quesadillas—was spot on. She checked in to make sure everything was to our liking, and her attentive service truly stood out. Five stars all the way!“

“Happened across Scalawags after doing a quick Google search of the name while in Sarasota area. Came in about noon on a Wed, just a few mixed age locals there, friendly people, fun and good laughs! Mainly a pool tables and electronic games type bar, dimly lit. Kitchen opens about noon, had a beer on tap and ordered the Grouper Sub, which was great - would get it again. Had another beer. Cash only for Papa Ron's food menu. Bar service is Scalawags, pay separately from food - works for them and me - no problem. Will return!!BTW - The Scalawags name came to mind because of the recent Gasparilla fest in Tampa and also because there is a Scalawags Whiefish & Chips in Mackinaw City, MI that a good friend of mine created, owned and operated for 30 years - serves the BEST fresh-caught Great Lakes Whitefish anywhere! So if you ever go there - you won't be disappointed there either!“

“Good local hang out. Nice patrons. No crazy, drunken, stumbling, spilling drinks on you types. Drunk, yes. Frat party atmosphere, no. Late 20s through mid 40s crowd. It's Sarasota, so a few older. Beer and wine only. Fridge full of Twisted Tea, White Claw, those types of drinks. Let's you bring in food--we brought in pizza. No smoking inside. Outside high top tables, inside table area and bar, and one FREE pool table in the back. Wish the music was a little louder, but with all the fun talking you have to talk loud anyway. Concrete floor, bathrooms sanitary. Let's you run a tab. Overall chill, good ol' boy, welcoming, local spot.“

“This place is pretty cool a nice atmosphere with the music not too loud, decent prices, and the pizza is decently good for a bar that isn’t really a restaurant. I’ve been here 3 times for the pizza and each time it’s not an Italian restaurant quality but it beats the heck out of dominoes or Pizza Hut. The bar tender with the long hair, he is super nice, very attentive, and an awesome overall due. Give them a try.“

“Super cozy, local little pub. I live nearby so brought my boyfriend for a leg of his Valentines Day scavenger hunt to play darts (they have 2 dart boards) & we couldn’t because they have busy dart nights. Call ahead if you have your heart set on darts. So we sat and drank an expensive Guinness! Guess that’s just the going rate these days? Very cozy place, nothing fancy, great little hole in the wall neighborhood pub.“

“Canadian Legion Member for 45 years. I have been coming to the Post 24 Legion for the past 23 years and find it is top notch in every way possible. The Legion is a wonderful building with so many activities, friendly patrons, super staff who serve wonderful meals. “If you can overlook the cigarette smoke. This bar offers awesome karaoke and Bingo events. They also have 3 or 4 Valley pool tables. There's always groups waiting to play on the pool tables. I believe that Sunday afternoons, they offer free pool.“

“This is a fantastic place with a fantastic view. The waitstaff at the Tiki bar is second to none. Want to give a shout out to Tarig who waited on us today. Great bartender as are all who serve there. We did not have food this visit, but in the past, the food is great too. AND, what a view of the water!“

“Very clean establishment. The bathrooms are large and very clean. The bartender was super nice and friendly. You can order beer, mixed drinks and wine but don't expect food. However, the bartender had no problem allowing us to bring food in. He even provided plates and napkins for us.“
