“A very small bar in a strip mall, we are from Buffalo and chose this bar as Bills fans that wanted to watch the game in public. Tons of TV's so everyone could watch, the owner served Sahlens hot dogs & Weber mustard (free of charge before the game started - they do not sell food there). Nice to watch the game with other fans but I do not recommend this place if you are traveling with a party over 4 people (too small). They setup a pop up tent outside with a TV to try to accommodate the influx of visitors) for a 1 pm game both inside and outside the bar it was a bit warm. Drinks were very reasonably priced however and our party of 9 people (7 drinkers) with shots left the bar with only a $220 bill. At half time we got take out from the Wicked Cantina (Mexican food) in the same strip mall.“

“Lunch there was very good. There is an extensive seafood menu with other options as well. I had the cobia tacos and my friend had the cobia sandwich. “Excellent service,good food and great view from the deck.My elderly mother passed out on the way out of the restaurant. The manager and her wait staff were very helpful during this emergency. After the manager called 911 for us, she helped with the 9 month old baby in our party while I helped my mother. She stuck with us until the ambulance arrived. “Quite a nice surprise, we stopped in for dinner and most everything surpassed our expectations. It's not the most impressive dining room, but that's the only negative I can give. First the drinks came and they were enormous from the mixed drinks to the wine pours, delicious as well! Next we ordered a variety from seafood, pork chops, and Chicken Parm... each one was enough for four meals and they were as good or better than any Italian restaurants I've been to in the area. Seafood was extremely fresh and after eating to capacity, it still went home in a FULL half sheet pan!! Pork chop was equally gigantic and both tender and juicy with great flavor. the chicken parm was two large (as big as the plate) cutlets that were perfectly cooked and served with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We were never rushed and enjoyed everything. This will definitely be a favorite for when we have a big appetite and the urge for some NJ/NY style Italian feast. The price was more than reasonable, considering the number of meals we will eventually get from the dinner! Give it a try...“

I could rave to you about the ice cold drinks, festive music, pinball and pool tables... But none of those elements even remotely compared to the awesome locals and fabulous bartenders that we quickly became friends with. But this post is regarding the Anchor Inn, so praising the bartenders is my top priority. Brad, single-handedly the most insightful and thought-provoking bartender that I've ever met.
