“We returned March 2024 to find Whitney’s again! Delicious fish bites, shrimp Tacos and grouper sandwich accompanied by great cocktails. Our server made sure we were happy! The cool electric guitar jazz ended our evening on a chill note. Our server Taylor was good to us and had a great smile. The fish bite and homemade chips were delicious warm up. The LBK Bowl was spicy and warm and good. The shrimp Louie had 6 lovely shrimps with salad makings -with yummy avocado and tomato. The dressing was applied sparingly. We will come back. Thanks!“
“I would like to thank Kadish, and Daniel at Viento Kitchen & Bar at Longboat Key FL for their excellent service! We Spend a weekend at. Viento Kitchen & Bar at Long boat Key FL. during the week after Thanksgiving, These two Employees were Amazing! As a 20 year US Army Retired Veteran this was A Great Customer Experience, it reminds, me of the core values that I stand on as a Retired US Army Veteran! The mission of the military is supported by several core values. The individual branches of the military state these values differently. For example, the Army has a Soldier's Creed. It includes statements such as, "I will always place the mission first," "I will never accept defeat," "I will never quit," and "I am an expert and I am a professional." The Marine Corps uses the motto Semper Fidelis, which is Latin for "always faithful." This motto reminds Marines to remain faithful to the mission, to each other, to the Corps, and to country, no matter what. These values are introduced during basic training and are reinforced and encouraged throughout an individual's military experience. This can result in high motivation to be mission oriented and can build camaraderie between military personnel rarely seen elsewhere. Being mission oriented includes: Committing to the mission, is Setting high standards, Completing tasks needed to complete the mission, despite obstacles that may arise ,Being disciplined and following rules ,Working together as a team, Respecting the team leader and his or her decisions and ,Leading a team effectively and motivating team members. Kadish, and Daniel are the example of these military Core Values! One of things that was said by 4 Star Army General Colin Powell "If You are going to Achieve Excellence in Big things, You Develop the Habit in Little matters! Excellence is not an Exception, it is a Prevailing Attitude! Kadish, and Daniel at Viento Kitchen & Bar made Excellence in Customer Services a Prevailing Attitude! Thank you Greg & Alice Houston TX A Journey of A Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step“
“Sean was our server, helpful, informative & delightful! Everything at salt bar and table is next level, not just the food, not just the spectacular cocktails, not just the atmosphere, but the service!!! everybody in the restaurant was so focused on our enjoyment, it was truly a special and unforgettable “
“What a beautiful day to sit outside, listen to live music, and have a great dinner! The tacos were really tasty and my beer was ice cold. The best part of our entire visit was our server, Tianna! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant experience. She was very busy, but gave great service, suggestions, and was always smiling. We will definitely be coming back to ask for her!“
“Make a reservation, this place is busy. We went later on a Sunday night and still had a to wait. The food was excellent! I got the sesame tuna with baby bok choy and was not disappointed. The tuna "melted" in my mouth and everything is was seasoned to perfection. We took a gamble at a place we've never been and it was worth it.To be fair the place is beautiful inside. I really would like you to know that the inside seating is rather "intimate" with others around you. Our table was unusually close to the tables next to us. I imagine the reason for this is to maximize the amount of people who they can provide service to at the same time. One can't help but overhear conversations at the table next to them, and be sure that they hear yours.“
“We tried Vernona Gourmet - Authentic Hungarian Restaurant earlier this week and we were very impressed and happy with the whole experience. Definitely in the rotation now. I have a new favorite comfort food now too - chicken paprikash - yum!!“
“The food is delicious! If you are looking for drinks, burgers, or pizza highly recommend. The staff is amazing. Tell Dave, David and D’Ann sent you. And don’t forget you can take your furry friends if their vaccinations are up-to-date and the have been spade or neutered.“
“99 Bottles is THE local spot in Sarasota for a terrific selection of beer and wine, delicious small bites, and the friendliest staff in town. The team is knowledgeable about everything they serve. Owner Mark makes a point to speak with everyone and chef Eddy makes amazing food. We spend more nights here than anywhere else, and we highly recommend for a great local vibe!“
“Sarasota and Manatee have a serious lack of small venues for local and traveling bands, artists, etc. I am so thrilled to have Oscura exists. They constantly have great shows and events, including those for local residents to perform with open mics and poetry reading. Also, the drink menu is carefully and thoughtfully curated. The coffee is fantastic. The cocktails are fun and delicious. The non-alcoholic options are more extensive than anywhere I’ve been in our area. I absolutely love checking out shows here. In my hometown up north, there was a local or traveling bands playing original music somewhere nearly every night of the week and I’m from a town of 100k. Oscura brings me back to those days and the vibes are immaculate.“
“Sinbad was amazing! He made our time at the tiki bar so much fun. The Jell-O shots were so tasty (and strong) and he made very good suggestions about what drink to order. He’s so friendly and sitting at his bar was a such a good time. He is a siesta key staple! Go visit him!“
“The atmosphere was great. Our waitress Ashley was so sweet. But! the only dish that they know they're dead wrong for even throwing on a plate were the lettuce wraps. Lettuce wraps were trash. Chewy kabob-like meat with soft ass lettuce that felt closer to a rose petal than anything I'd see in the produce section. LOL. With all that said, everything else was pretty good considering. Thanks for the hospitality!“
“There Bands every Friday.Friendly people what smiles on their face and very Easily to be friendly people. Great drinks, bartender on her toes and always smiling ?. Had a great time, meant some new people,Really easy and very friendly people, they take you as the person that you are, and that's a rare thing now a days. Had a blast! And will definitely go back there with a safe feeling & a SMILE..,“
“Great Happy Hour If you can score a seat at the bar or at a table in the bar area and it’s before 5:45pm, you can get a great deal. Drinks, including their house cocktails and most of their wines, are half off. There’s a nice list of small plates at excellent prices that are also available. We started with a couple of good cocktails. Then we shared the delicious happy hour fried shrimp. We followed that with the happy hour mussels—one of the best bowl of mussels I’ve had in a while. It was served with a basket of bread that was perfect to sop up the lovely mussel broth. Next we had the happy hour ceviche which was a generous serving and really tasty. We moved off the happy hour menu to get the Monkfish, which is discounted in the early evening. You don’t see monkfish on menus very often, and this one was very good. It comes with a soup or salad and we chose the delicious clam chowder. The plate it nicely composed with a starch and veg accompanying the monkfish. A shout out to our server, Barbara, who was very kind, helpful and efficient and moved us along at a pleasant, unrushed pace. We enjoyed our dinner very much and we hope to return.“
“First time I ever went there and I have no complaints. Everything was from the service to the food, which was great. My family from Michigan came down wanted oysters, and i suggested this restaurant they never stopped raving how good the oysters and their food were. Thank you, Anna Maria Oyster Bar, for making part of their visit worth talking about. ??“
“As always, the ambiance, food and service were delightful. This restaurant is an oasis of comfort, grace and uniquely prepared flavors and components. Scratch cooking always takes longer than par cooked bulk cooking found elsewhere, plan on sitting back, savoring your companions, the atmosphere, and cocktails-you can always hear yourself think and have great conversation. A unique experience.“
“I've seen so many different versions of "dive bar" I never know what to expect. Overall, I very much recommend this one. This is a nice bar with a dark yet cozy interior. It's comfortable, and there's a good bit of seating inside with a little more outside. There's one unisex bathroom here that was clean and stocked. The crowd seems to be "older" couples and tourists with some college kids from Ringling stopping by from time to time. Friendly bartenders and staff. It's got decent prices for the area and honestly the food is quite good. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the potstickers and poutine. I haven't gotten the wings yet, but everytime someone at my table orders them, I regret not getting any myself because they look very good.Parking: There's a parking lot around back. I've never had an issue finding a spot.“
“everything is wonderful ! we had lunch there, ordered the Brussel sprouts(a must) the bao bao buns and the chicken Tikka also a goat cheese pie for dessert. every single thing was perfect ! our server Ethan was great, very attentive and knowledgeable about every item. ! will definitely go back !“
“We enjoy the food and service at The Tamiami Tap - and mostly appreciate the local, neighborhood spirit. Mark and his team make everyone welcome, whether it is a beautiful evening or the day after the hurricane… oh, and the nachos, sliders, pork sandwich, small little salad… and… and.. are great!“
“My wife and I decided to try this restaurant on Saint Armand's Cirlcle in Sarasota since it was pretty lively and had outside seating- both positives when trying to handle a 2 year old during dinner without being a major bother. Even though it was a busy weekday evening in the circle (which is standard there), we were seated quickly and easily, and the service was nice throughout.I ordered the grouper tacos, which were rather good, and accented well by the seet plantains and black beans. My wife got a salad, my daughter got mac and cheese and my son the chicken thumbs, and they all seemed happy with their choices. The price is unsurprisingly pretty high considering, though that's standard for the area. Overall, it was a nice stop and worth a look if spending some time on the busy circle.“
“My favorite bar is Sarasota/Bradenton. The food reminds me of back home in Pennsylvania. The people remind me of a combination of the best people from the Eagles, Moose, and Elks combined with a family reunion of my favorite family members. I love this place.“
“Called when they were closed on a Monday and spoke to the owner Steve to ask some questions about their place for a place to go after our wedding at the Sand Bar. Steve answered all my questions thoroughly and gave recommendations for other places on the island even. Look forward to bringing all our guest there this April!“
“Just had the nicest time at the Elixir Tea House. My friend surprised me with a birthday high tea. I didn't know what to expect as I'm not a big tea drinker. When we got there, we were escorted to a cute little room with sofas and chairs and a table full of tapas sized sandwiches and desserts. We had great conversation in a cozy little room while we sampled six different teas (they had 80) and had a glass of champagne. The service was wonderful, the food was fantastic and the teas were absolutely lovely. What a special little place. I will definitely return!“
“Biker bar located off of 9th St W in Bradenton. Just what you'd be looking for in a good dive - super friendly patrons, really cold beer and a nice dark place to just hang out. Beers are mostly $3-$4 (no liquor here). No food served, but they've got local places that come around for BBQ/food stops out back - check their Facebook page.“
“This is a great place for karaoke I love the people! Unfortunately I have to make people aware of somebody who’s there on a regular basis. Tui is looking for another couch to sleep on. He’s abusive and he’s left my dogs with no food or water let them go to the bathroom all of my house all weekend while I was out of town. He’s looking for another place to squat. I had to kick him out. Buyer beware i’m sure a lot of you know him Tui. He can be a really nice guy but there’s a whole Nother side to that. He’s destroyed my relationship with my daughter. He is not a good person and he was somebody that I trusted“
“I like this bar! Friendly atmosphere, have something going every day of the week, and live music on weekends. I love their drinks of Christmas such a fun way to get in the spirit. I don’t smoke cigars, but they have a decent selection. Meagan is great and always so fun!Parking: There is a parking garage available down the street, but limited parking options close by“
“Quaint little place on Osprey Avenue. The small interior leads to a very intimate atmosphere with a side bar available if you want to just stop in for a few drinks. Outstanding service with quick attention paid by the server. The burger was very good and cooked well, along with generous pieces of bacon. Seasoning on the fries was delicious, as well. A definite hidden hole-the-wall gem that should not be missed.“
“We have visited the Swordfish Grill over several visits, it is that sort of non pretentious place set next to a boatyard and overlooking water, but it offers good tasty meal selections with seafood and shellfish being it’s specialty. Often has music. The staff are attentive, fun and helpful. Good value, make sure you book to guarantee an outside table.“
“Good local hang out. Nice patrons. No crazy, drunken, stumbling, spilling drinks on you types. Drunk, yes. Frat party atmosphere, no. Late 20s through mid 40s crowd. It's Sarasota, so a few older. Beer and wine only. Fridge full of Twisted Tea, White Claw, those types of drinks. Let's you bring in food--we brought in pizza. No smoking inside. Outside high top tables, inside table area and bar, and one FREE pool table in the back. Wish the music was a little louder, but with all the fun talking you have to talk loud anyway. Concrete floor, bathrooms sanitary. Let's you run a tab. Overall chill, good ol' boy, welcoming, local spot.“
“A Pleasurable Dining Experience at R.J. Gator’s Restaurant in Bradenton, FL Rating: 4 out of 5 stars We just went to visit to R.J. Gator’s Restaurant in Bradenton, FL and it was an overall pleasurable dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, I was captivated by the restaurant’s neat and inviting atmosphere, accompanied by an awesome menu that delighted my taste buds. R.J.’s has done an exceptional job in creating a welcoming environment. The restaurant was clean, and the tastefully neat decor contributed to a cozy and comfortable ambiance. I found myself instantly relaxed and ready to enjoy a fantastic meal. Speaking of the menu, R.J.’s certainly knows how to impress. The array of options available was remarkable, showcasing a diverse range of culinary delights. I was delighted to find both familiar favorites and unique dishes that piqued my curiosity. Each bite I took was a testament to the chef’s skill and dedication, as the food was undeniably yummy. In addition to the delectable flavors, Gator’s also excelled in providing reasonable prices and generous portions. I felt that the value for money was excellent, and the portion sizes were more than satisfactory. It was evident that R. J.’s takes pride in ensuring their customers are satisfied both in terms of taste and quantity. While my experience was largely positive, I did encounter a minor setback with the service. The waitress seemed slightly inattentive during my visit, which occasionally required me to seek her attention multiple times. However, this did not overshadow the overall excellence of the restaurant. In conclusion, Gator’s Restaurant in Bradenton, FL offers a delightful dining experience. The neat atmosphere, awesome menu, and delicious food combine to create a memorable visit. Despite a minor issue with the service, I wholeheartedly recommend here for anyone seeking a satisfying meal in a cozy setting!!“
“You know I have NOTHING bad to say about this jawn. We came in here looking to grab a "last"drink after leaving the Zac Brown concert in Tampa and this was in route (home). The bar keeps were friendly, had a good sense of humor and the drinks were good & cheap! They've got the Touchtunes jukebox so you can play DJ at your leasure, plenty of Pool tables and Dart games all around. It's definitely a dive, but one I'd go back to for sure! Did not have a chance to try the food, but heard it was good.Parking: The parking lot infront of the bar is rather small, but we parked in the lot right next to it (attached almost) and it was fine, there may be parking around back as well, so it shouldn't be a problem“
“Layout/atmosphere*Exterior of building looks like a red barn; horseshoe bar in center of room; nine TVs; internet jukebox; pool table; foosball table; golf arcade game; five seat window counter; smoking permitted; parking in front; tables outsideFood/drink*No food menu*Snack food (chips, pretzels)*“
“Visited for St Patrick's Day. They handled the crowd very well and with good humor. It's a small pub and most people stayed outside in the parking lot or in back. Nobody got rowdy and the atmosphere was fun. They provided a limited menu of corned beef sandwiches and Reuben sandwiches plus a kid's menu. They had music, including an excellent piper. Shamrock is a soccer-focused pub and is probably Ground Zero for big tournaments. My only suggestion would be to have plastic bags on hand for those of us who did carryout (five sandwiches + chips). The sandwiches were very tasty!“
“We absolutely love FOOD+BEER SRQ Rosemary District. Dom the manager is absolutely awesome especially leading his staff to success! Kat by far is OUR favorite we specifically go and see her at least 2/3 times a week. Her energy is contagious she is a huge asset to this company 100%. If your looking for great food friendly servers and a fantastic atmosphere support our local friends here at FOOD+BEER! - Sarasota Salvage“
“If you're looking for a bar that's outdoors, with great drink prices (and strength), where everyone seems to know your name and gets along like an episode of Cheers, and that's operated by some of the nicest bartenders in the area, then look no further. Too drunk to drive home? Well, you're in luck, because it's located at a hotel. HahaAn outdoor, smoking acceptable, bar, with warm greetings, great prices, friendly patrons and occasionally a dog or two.Parking: There's plenty of parking, so if you're having trouble, perhaps you're drunk. Haha“
“ive been a regular of manna tea & kava for 3 years now. this is a community of love and acceptance, and there is no place for hate speech or discrimination. +100 points to staff for banning people who cultivate a potentially dangerous and hostile environment. love u guys ?“
“Welcome anyone and everyone unless barred ? Great drinks, events and people!! Recommend going somewhere else if your planning on starting problems because everyone considers each other family! If your not a regular your best bet is to have a good time and don’t pick fights or mess with anyone, You don’t know who knows who!“
“THIS WOMAN IS A ROCKSTAR! It's my first time at this restaurant and the only place open late with food, and she is running the show by herself. 5 stars for miss Alyssa! So impressed with the bright smile and hard work ethic. Keep rocking girl, we WILL be back.“
“Highly! Highly recommend CLEAN, great smell, very friendly bartender with a keen hand for mixing cocktails. Tasting available along with vendor events! Liquor store next door is the same owners. Great folks. Best margarita I’ve ever had, promise. Come out and sea Alan after the beach or dinner, before sunset on the beach Public access to beach walking distance across the road, cross QUICKLY!
