“Charlie was a very attentive and efficient server and we had an all-around great experience. Do NOT skip the hushpuppies here, they are some of the best we’ve ever had. Steamed crab legs were incredible as was the ahi tuna. Wish we’d had room for the banana bread pudding but we’ll make sure to get it next time - can’t wait to come back here!“
“All these Kava bars are categorized by Google as restaurants or alcohol bars or coffee shops it seems. So most of the rating questions don’t apply.Having said this, this is my favorite Kava/Kratom bar in the St. Pete/Tampa area. The staff is all very friendly and even more so as you become a regular. It can get busy and sometimes there is a line to wait in during rush hours, but nothing to deter you from coming in. It just means it’s popular and they serve great products.Don’t forget to try Evie’s Bakery items in the display case. All home made by a local. Some are vegan, some are not, but every single thing I have tried has been crazy delicious. There is a lot of free parking right out front which is nice, it’s pet friendly, and vape friendly indoors and cigs allowed outside on the large covered patio area/back yard; also great for friendly dogs.Working remotely here is great if you don’t have to take any calls. There are plenty of outlets, free fast wifi, and quite a bit of seating for laptop users including couches. Each kava tender plays their own selection of music, which helps keep the environment interesting.Note for remote workers only:I do wish they would keep the volume down during business hours, especially the bass. It’s basically impossible to take a business call or zoom meeting without my manager and coworkers asking to repeat myself or asking why it’s so loud where I am. Since the music is loud, the patrons talk much louder which just adds to it. I would suggest business hours have much lower volume, and then around 5pm crank it back up. But that’s just a personal preference as a remote worker. I started going to two other bars more often during work hours. Or just working from home. If you’re not taking/making calls during work, none of the above applies.Overall, I love this place, and have made some good friends here and even reacquainted with some from years ago.I highly recommend their Kratom (not a kava drinker here), and their prices are some of the best around.“
“This Is a unique and GREAT fun spot if you love doggies! Bring your pooch or just swing by and witness pure greatness as you can grab a drink and watch puppies of all ages play in a secured area. It's like walking into heaven. 100000% recommend for both locals and visitors alike. Such a great spot!“
“I stopped in for a late morning coffee, and I had a lox bagel, which was perfectly made, generously stacked with very fresh ingredients. Service was excellent and prompt. I sat outside and enjoyed the peacefulness of the moment. The restroom was appropriately clean. Parking is plentiful. Needless to say, I highly recommend this place.“
“When there are pop-ups for food, second to none. The owners understand what the people want and they give it to you. Great staff, very polite and always crush it even on the busiest nights. Jenna and Loafy Wednesdays is by far my favorite day to cruise in. Great crowd of mixed communities getting along under one roof.“
“I am an employee here but I must say the team is wonderful to work with. Prices are awesome and I love the art gallery vibes! If you've never been, I highly recommend a visit! They are often having special promotions or events that change daily so keep checking back! If you're an artist, there's a possibility you could showcase your art here as well and sell it. :)“
“Had a very nice afternoon at the FnD! Fantastic vibe and atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks. Bartender Elijah was great! Knowledgeable and friendly, only enhanced the experience. Met some very nice people. Cocktails and whiskey flight were delish as was the flatbread app. Highly recommend a stop here while in downtown St. Pete. Stop for one, stay for a few.“
“Frescos Waterfront Bistro is a hidden gem in St. Pete with a stunning waterfront view. My recent experience there was exceptional. The Angus burger was cooked to perfection, easily one of the best I've had in a long time. My wife ordered the St. Pete Bowl, and it was phenomenal; the flavors were exquisite, and the portions were generous. The ambiance was delightful, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend Frescos for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in St. Pete!"“
“I love the laid back casual atmosphere, the friendly staff and the delicious food. I make The Burg a must do stop every time I visit St Pete. The Greek Lemon/Chicken/Orzo soup is amazing! From healthy choices to more indulgent choices, I highly recommend.“
“Great bartenders, would love to see more advertising for people who are not regulars so they can see the awesome drink prices and specials daily and the amazing kj on Saturday afternoon. From 1pm to 5pm. Sami bartending and she is friendly attentive and the afternoon there is great. Evenings just as awesome with Victor and Jack. Looking forward to Dawn coming back. Always a good time! There are pool tables, dart boards, bowling game and of course other games. There are many other activities throughout the week. Poker, trivia and there's always someone who has a joke or two to to tell you. Friendly welcoming neighborhood bar...gotta check it out!“
“This is the Pasadena Bar & Grill. It’s the finest dive bar in Pinellas and home to the massive and delicious Trucker Burger. I manned this bar through college and far, far beyond. I have brainstormed with Max Linns gubernatorial campaign managers here. I’ve met wild commercial fisherman, tradesmen, contractors, doctors, financial advisors, entrepreneurs, maids, and drug runners (past and present). Its a second home to servers, bartenders and cooks who fuel the tourist trade. During the day veterans gather to wash away the past and discuss the future of the nation with despair. Widows come to drink bad wine with their friends . Sports fans come to watch NASCAR, Lightning, Bucs and Rays with their cohorts. Putting too much emphasis on results with too little knowledge of the sports. Musicians come before and after gigs and The Wizard keeps the jukebox playing most of the day. It’s open from 8 am until 3 am. Stop in at different times to find your crowd.“
“We went here on Saturday evening for dinner. We asked to be seated at the patio and enjoyed the charming outside ambience. We both ordered a drink, me a margarita classic and he a Modelo. We also got chips and queso and the mofongo. Both came out quickly and were delicious! For main meal we got 2 each of tacos Al a carte. We chose to try the poke taco and the duck taco. Both were very pretty and flavorful.Overall we had a good experience and will go again as there are more menu options I want to try.Things of note, all parking in the area costs regardless of street side or garage. The men's restroom is up a spiral staircase. I don't know if they have a elevator. The ladies and family bathroom is near the bar.“
“We came for Happy Hour and we were thrilled. Drinks were $8, wine $8 beer $8. Fantastic selection. The food was outstanding. We had oysters, fried sea smelts and fried artichokes. Just delicious. We highly recommend coming here for Happy Hour. Our waitress Christine was the cherry on top. She was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We will definitely return next week! Thanks for a great time!“
“While visiting from WI the last two weeks, we found this gem that reminded us of home, and have been back a handful of times as our default. Karaoke *2* nights in a row?? Yes please! The atmosphere was just like our home bar and the bartenders were perfectly snarky as they were friendly. (I say this all lovingly!) Next time we are in the area, will definitely be back! Thanks Sneaky D's!“
“Step into the ultimate cocktail haven at Back Bar! ? With top-notch service and highly skilled bartenders, every drink is a masterpiece. ?✨ Sip on crafty cocktails and soak in the cool vibes—this spot is a true gem #CraftCocktails #MixologyMasters ??“
“A downtown staple! If you're a local; you've been here before ...if you're not, go for a drink. It's St. Pete history on Central. Come in and enjoy the peeps and bartenders. Mastry's is the stop for a mouthwatering drink and conversation before you take in dinner downtown.“
“We love dive bars, we are from WI. So this was our vibe. Bartender (Missy, I think) was so nice & attentive. Some locals gave us tips to go see: Pier Teaki on St. Pete Pier and Birch Wood Sky Bar (roof top). Missy suggested The Galley for food. SO good! We had the best day thanks to those ladies!“
“Overall great food: Garlic bread was top notch!..Stromboli was very tasty and well cooked..the rest of my party had stuffed shells ("Like Grandma used to make!")..+ clam sauce over pasta-very good...our server had a few mixup but heh...we are all human right?“
“Mahi tacos delicious! I enjoy the selection of street tacos and American style tacos. There is a nice variety of appetizers, adult drinks, and main foods. Seating in an outside covered space but when it's windy and rainy some tables will get wet.Parking: Depending on the time of day you can find parking directly in front or in the street adjacent. Central is always a popular place so don't be afraid to drive around a little“
“Absolutely loved my lunch experience at Casita Taqueria in the heart of St. Petersburg's vibrant Grand Central District! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with friendly staff making me feel right at home. The tacos were simply delicious - bursting with flavor and freshness, and the variety of toppings and salsas provided the perfect kick. Highly recommend trying their homemade chips and guac too - so tasty!Marisa Balletti-Lavoie“
