“I gave Shore 4 stars for not for the food but for the atmosphere. It's a sexy cool spot in heart of St. Armand's Circle. The staff was friendly. We went at 2pm thinking we'd missed the lunch crowd. The place was still packed. We only had to wait 15-20 minutes though. Drinks were great, had the Bee Keeper, Barrel Aged Cocktail and Espresso Martini. Started with the Crispy Bao Buns. I got the Tuna Tartare as my entree, hubs had the Faroe Island Salmon, you can see by his empty plate (forgot to take a before pic) that he enjoyed it. The tuna tartare was fresh and light. I feel there is "always something" good, bad or indifferent when dining out. My "always something" for Shore was the crispy bao buns. I know it says it in the name but I think one of the great thing about bao buns is the pillowy goodness and these crispy ones just missed the mark for me. All in all Shore is a great place to go grab a bite while shopping St. Armands Circle.“

“Had occasion to dine in at The Feast in Holmes Beach tonite with my wife and we found our meals so exceptional that i decided to document the visit with a review. As a “snowbird” home owners on the island since 2016, we are very familiar with the Islands cuisine, and have visited most of the restaurants on the island any times. In that vein, we have been to The Feast on multiple occasions, just not in the last year or so. In the past, if asked i would have rated The Feast’s menu and food as above average, but not exceptional. Our meals tonite were exceptional! My wife had the blackened grouper with French fries and cooked vegetables, and i, linguini adorned with shrimp and lobster in a modestly spiced cream sauce. The portions were generous, and Both meals were absolutely exquisite. Accordingly, i would say The Feast has stepped up their game since our last visit and i would encourage you to give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.Parking: The Feast is located in the Holmes Beach strip mall and therefore has ample parking facilities available“

“My daughter, my husband and I went here for an early dinner this past Sunday. My husband brought home some funnel cakes from there once that were absolutely amazing, but this was my first time getting to go in person. I have to say it is a great concept! Some people wait all year for the fair to come to town so they can get their hands on funnel cakes, and giant turkey legs. The idea that you don't have to wait, you can just get them whenever, pretty much embodies the spirit of 2020s, doesn't it?Unfortunately we didn't order anything that you can only get at the fair on this visit. It's not that it wouldn't have been delicious, it's just that nothing jumped out at us. I got a large order of their crispy waffle fries smothered in bacon crumbles and cheese sauce. My husband got a cheese burger, and my daughter chose the two corn dogs with fries. Everything was cooked well, tasted good, and hit the spot. The employees were all fresh faced in their late teens maybe early twenties kids just starting out in the work force. These minimum wage jobs are perfect for kids who are learning what it means to work hard and make extra money. It's not easy working in the service industry, when you get to be in your thirties and forties it can be pure hell. It's nice to see young people behind the counter, they're having a good time working together, building friendships, and customer service skills that will help them out a lot in the long run. They did a great job serving us. The young man that took our order did mistake our "To Go" for "Eat Here", we weren't in a hurry. He was very nice, and didn't mess up our food order, and that's what really matters. We got our drinks, and condiments, and took our seats in a booth. It wasn't long before a different young man brought our food right to our table. The ambiance of the restaurant was pretty blah, don't get me wrong, there was nothing overtly wrong with it. It was not dirty, or messy or anything like that. The kids take excellent care of the place. It's just that the building is an old Burger King, and you can tell that even if you haven't lived here as long as me. It looks like an old Burger King, the tile outside is that old brown tile, the building has the same style, just a new paint job. They had an opportunity to do so much interior design; with the fair angle, they could've had so much fun with it and made it very appealing. Instead it just felt like something they put together overnight following Burger King's old template. It was a very uninspired design for such an inspired idea, you know?Don't let my harsh judgement of the atmosphere turn you off from eating their food. They make a mean funnel cake, and great smothered crispy waffle fries. Everything we've eaten there, we enjoyed. The service is great, they take good care of their customers, and have good morale. The kids that work there seem to like each other, and that makes the service they provide so much better. Since it's an old Burger King you can see most of the kitchen from the counter, you can see that it's kept in good working order. The dining room is tidy, tables wiped down, floor clean, and condiments well stocked.Overall those kids do a great job, and serve good food. If you're in the mood for some fair food without the upset tummy from the rides.“

“The burgers here are fantastic. This is what a burger should taste like. It was big and hearty, the grilled onions were great, and the meat was grilled to perfection and seasoned just right. The fries were nice and crispy. We sat with a view of the street, and we were able to feel a nice breeze through the entrance while we enjoyed our burgers. The lady behind the register and the gentleman on the grill were very friendly and welcoming. We just wished that we had room in our stomach for some of the hot dogs, but maybe next time!“

“After a visit to the AMI farmers market, we decided to try the world (or at least island:) favorite Duffy’s Tavern cheeseburger. It IS a tavern, smallish, noisy, all orders are placed at the bar, but since pubs, taverns and roadhouse’s are some of my favorite places, I was in my element. We had two bacon-cheeseburgers with the fixin’s and their homemade tater’ salad. They were perfectly cooked, delicious and under $25! If it gets too noisy for you, there is a very private outdoor side courtyard where you can feel the sun n’ breezes.“

“Had breakfast here for the first time. Greay food and very quick service. Ordered our food and was out in less than 10 minutes if that long. Portions are large and taste great. I had the breakfast tacos and my wife had the chicken fried steak and eggs. We will definitely be back. Gonna try their burgers next time.“

“Food was great, probably the best lobster roll I ever had. Service was friendly, but slow. It's in a strip mall, so atmosphere was ok. They did the best they could. Way too expensive to go back again. Definitely out of my price range.“

“Went here because the line at other 2 restaurants nearby was outrageous and were very pleasantly surprised! Our waiter Josh was extremely polite and fun. Suggested a few things of the menu, we loved it all! Mahi mahi tacos were my favorite. Mocktails are not on the menu but per request barman made me a delicious one! Definitely worth giving a try!“

“This place claims to be the best burger place on the island. Although I beg to differ what they do have is an awesome atmosphere, great and personable staff, and overall good dive food. It has all the beach feel, it's out in the open and a nice place to chill without spending a fortune. Perfect place for leaving your swimsuit on and grabbing a bite. Wash it all down with a bottle of Not Your Fathers Root Beer and you won't be disappointed!“

“Holy guacamole. Just kidding. I didn't have any guacamole. But the burger I had was absolutely out of this world!!! I had the Jaffe burger with Brussel sprouts and a Lavender Tea.Absolutely amazing. Brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection. Bread on the Jaffe burger was crisp and flaky, and the texture on the patty was thorough, consistent and it was even juicy too! Top it off with their homemade seasoning and aioli, you might forget you're eating a vegan burger. So flavorful and fresh. Huge portions, lovingly made. No doubt about it.My only suggestion would be maybe less ice in the Tea? As I found myself definitely craving more!Give this place a go, you'll feel like a king afterwards. Or maybe just a happy soul. :)“

“Ok. So I took a couple stars off for atmosphere. Truth be told, I like the atmosphere but I'm trying to not impose my enjoyment of an old fashioned diner on anyone else. Thre is nothing fancy about this place. But the people are nice and I love their breakfast and their 3 for $5 sliders. I started eating there 30 years ago and have since moved to Southern California. But I dont ever visit Sarasota with a stop at Tasty Home Cooking. If you want fancy and you want to spend your money, go somewhere else. If you want a great value for your dollar, nice people and good food, Tasty Home Cooking is a nice place to find it. By the way, best Hash Browns anywhere.“

“One of the best, loaded, and genuine hot dogs I tasted in my life. If your hungry…… get the junkyard dog it will fill you to the brim. Overall awesome food stand guy has real food and comes from jersey. Very clean he used gloves the whole time cooking the food and keeps everything refrigerated and stored properly. Uses Sabretts hot dogs and grills them. Got the junkyard dog it came with onion, peppers, coleslaw, sauerkraut, and a sweet chili sauce on top to compliment it. 10/10 will be back very reasonably priced too for the food ??Got my food at the corner of Cortez and 26th St in the Pet supermarket parking lot“

“Great burgers the old style way. Juicy, cooked and seasoned to perfection. The fries are in my top 5. I would suggest just getting a medium fry, they fill your bag with fries as well. The price is a little on the high side. My girlfriend and I both had cheese burgers 2 medium drinks and a large fry to share and the total was 34$. It's worth it though. If you want a great burger and fries I recommend 5 guys.Vegetarian options: You can substitute burger for veggie burgerDietary restrictions: Tell them but they do use peanut oil.Parking: Large parking lotKid-friendliness: Kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Ramps and handicap bathrooms“

“I love this place. My husband and I discovered this place shortly after we moved to Florida, and it's already become a favorite place for us to grab a few tacos. This restaurant is in a food court in the Red Barn Flea Market and we make a point of eating there every week or two. The Red Barn is only open on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We have always gotten their tacos, four for ten bucks. We have always gotten steak and we get them with cilantro and onion (heavy on the cilantro). I'm pretty sure you can also get them with lettuce and cheese, and maybe tomato.........not real sure about that. The tacos (and just about everything else on the menu) comes with your choice of two salsas.........additional salsa is fifty cents each. My husband always gets the green.......I don't do salsa......I prefer to focus on the cilantro and onions. The steak is very well seasoned and they don't skimp. You definitely get your money's worth. I'm so glad we discovered this place.“

“I was jonesing for a Peanut Buster Parfait, so I pulled into this Dairy Queen with eager anticipation. When I walked in the door, I was hit by a wave of nostalgia. I used to go to Dairy Queen all the time when I was a youngun, and just reading the menu took me back... Mr Misty was my go-to treat as a kid. Who could resist a slushy with lots of flavor syrup as they make them? Not this kid! Then, when I grew older and Blizzards were created, I became addicted to them in college and visited The Queen often for an M&M Blizzard with chocolate ice cream ?. Always, though, Peanut Buster Parfait (PBP) made with butterscotch sauce was an option that popped up now and then to end up in my hand instead of Mr. Misty or PBP, but because I didn't like hot fudge as a kid, I always replaced it with butterscotch. Now, here I was staring at a menu from my childhood mixed with the future (ok, technically the present, but my childhood me would have thought it was the future) and I realized I now had a dilemma on my hands regarding what I wanted to order. Peanut Buster Parfait? Blizzard (so many delicious flavor options!)? Mr Misty? My brain was overloaded with joy.WAIT! I came here for a PBP made with butterscotch, loaded with salty peanuts in ice cream, my FAVORITE treat, by golly, that's what I was gonna get.I ordered it and was told they no longer carry butterscotch SAUCE (writing this now, I vaguely remember when they discontinued their butterscotch sauce. Ugh), but instead, their butterscotch is only the hard dip butterscotch, from when you dip your cone. So, I did as the employees suggested and got caramel. Then I asked for a dip of butterscotch on top at the end. It was pure heaven because they gave me an extra thick dip that dropped down and formed a thick ring of solid butterscotch around the top of the ice cream, on top of the last layer of caramel and peanuts that I had to chop through to get to the layers below. Eating that PBP was an experience, and well worth the millions of calories I took in doing so. Next time, though, I'm gonna have to get a Blizzard, because Dairy Queen is where I perfected the M&M with peanut butter sauce Blizzard, so I could pass it on to Sweet Berries. They are the original Blizzard/Concrete“
