“I started going to Athena’s when my son and family first moved to Maitland over 17 years ago. Since 2018 I went there at least once a week. Having to move back to Connecticut, I miss their chicken so much. My grandchildren know when I come to visit that is the first place I stop to eat. Their chicken is always so delicious and moist. I wish they would open a place here ❤️“

“I’ve been here maybe 50 times 😂 either via uber eats or in person. The service is super quick, nice, and today, even a chef stepped up to the check out counter to make sure the process was quick and I didn’t have to wait on a check out person. The food never leaves me feeling sick, and they only use olive oil (vs canola or other sub par, cheap oil) - huge perk. For a vegan - this place is a huge win!!

“1st time here, so I grabbed a couple of slices for lunch. One pepperoni and one meat lovers. Came out to just under $8.00, which isn't bad considering how big these were. The crust was New York style, thin crust, just like they advertise. The sauce has great flavor without overpowering everything else. The cheese was plentiful and mild but complemented the rest of the slice. Toppings were plentiful enough to get a taste in every bite. I should have taken pictures, but I was too hungry and they smelled too good. I'd like to try some of their more traditional Italian dishes. Their togo menu only shows full portions, I don't know if they have a lunch special, but I'll be there soon!“

“I went to The Glass Knife with my husband for the first time today. We had an amazing experience, the food was deliciosos, the coffee exquisite, I had the Costa Rican pour over, one of the best I have ever had. The service was absolutely perfect, Zay took care of us and she was very pleasant and welcoming.“

“This is a belated review, but back in late November of 2022 I had a somewhat last minute request for a custom cake for my husband and his twin sister Sylvia’s 60th Birthday that was on December 4th. It was to be a surprise for them and I wanted it to be extra special. I reached out to Dan and expressed to him my ideas and he accommodated them perfectly and beautifully. The cake was covered with photos of them together through the years. I will never forget how truly special the cake was and what it meant to my husband Ed and his sister Sylvia. What I didn’t express at the time was that my sister-in-law had been recently diagnosed with metastatic cancer and I realized how extra special this Birthday would be. Sadly, we lost her shortly after her 61st Birthday on December 16, 2023. I just want to thank you whole heartedly for being kind and considerate, providing incredible customer service, and of course, for making a very special cake for a very special occasion. “I’ve left so many reviews already i don’t think that i was gonna write one for the restaurant again but they got me when they said free donuts.

This time we got the firecracker chicken and honey chicken both with fried rice. The honey chicken is just the hot honey chicken without the hot and it was good.“

“All I can say is “WOW!! Had the most amazing Ruben sandwich ever! I’m very picky about my deli sandwiches because I don’t care for fatty anything. My Ruben was 100% lean meat, sauerkraut and dressing. The potato salad was incredible and the pickles were delicious! My husband had the Italian panini, and couldn’t say enough great things about it! JJ was our waitress and she made sure we were well taken care of. Glen, the manager, stopped by to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. There was so much food and we gladly took home our leftovers!! Overall, an outstanding meal and we will definitely be back soon! Thanks Pickles, for a memorable meal! You made a good day great!“

“My boyfriend and I went for his 22nd birthday, this place is truly a hidden gem! They were so accommodating with our nut allergies and my spice sensitivity! The food was so flavorful and filling. We will DEFINITELY be back! All of the employees were very friendly and helpful“

“Good food but be prepared for waitresses that are tired at the end of the night , our reservations were at 9 30pm. The service was supremely lack luster. Drinks, bread, and a few tapas we ordered were served almost at the end of the meal. I’ll sit at the bar in the future. The main waitress was acceptable, the second waitress seemed angry 😡. Questions like is there a chance we could get our bread , and how are our short ribs going , gave server number two an opportunity to offer her surly look. 👀“

So glad the place has reopened and will be buying breads as gifts and for the holidays. We like to get the bread sliced and freeze it in sections to take out and enjoy over time.“

Outstanding Team Manager Shivani Kapoor and her team manages really well. I know Paul Kappoor for 18 years- Masters Chef- super smart, quick...highly capable entrepreneur.
Other Good people i should not forget is RoopaSri - very nice, polite, intelligent, quick and absorbs every thing in one go..such a young age or young ...met her first time.. Amazing.
Put a Kudos to them and recommend Gateway to India in Longwood, always.
Highlly reasonable also according to my family:)))))since i dont pay too much attention i guess. Thanks so much again

“Ordered a custom Birthday cake for a Birthday when we were in town visiting. After reading a lot of reviews I ordered a custom cake with Sugar Divas, it was a important task since the friend in question is actually a chef so has pretty high standards and opinons about cake. The cake was amazing, the decorations were on point with the theme and the cake was one of the best that we had ever tasted. Highly recommend this bakery.“

“If you like breakfast or brunch you'll LOVE First Watch. It was recommended to me and I decided to go with my oldest son. We got a table right away. Everything was clean and tidy. The waitress was super nice and they had our food out quickly. The servings are huge. I got the brioche French Toast that came with a berry compote on the side and it was amazing! Cooked to perfection and the 2 HUGE slices filled me up! Also, they serve mimosas. I want to go back and try the specialty bacon that everyone was raving about. Oh, make sure you tell them exactly how you like your eggs. My son forgot and unfortunately they were a little runny. Also, he ordered an iced coffee thinking it was just like any regular iced coffee but it tasted like alcohol - be sure to read the menu thoroughly because several items are unique. The waitress was very polite about it and took it off our bill. Handicap parking close by and the waitress held the door open for us. Prices are $$. Including top, it was around $60 for our meal for 3 (we ordered a third plate to go). I will return, and it gets a thumbs up recommendation from me.

“This place is inside Bloomingdale’s. We wanted frozen yogurt but menu doesn’t really explain how to order or what you get. That was a little confusing.But when we got the small cup of yogurt it was one of the most delicious things I have had. They put the fixings at the bottom and throughout the cup. It was really huge and delicious.Highly recommended“

“Stumbled across this place while picking up food and I’m so happy I found it. Being gluten free ( not by choice ) is so hard to find good tasting food but this cupcakes were so good. I ordered 2 vanilla gf cupcakes one with lemon filling a with lemon/vanilla frosting and a one cream cheese frosting ? both were so soft and delicious. Will definitely be back to try more flavors.“

“Stopped by for some sweets after having lunch nearby. Tried the Smoores eclair and the lemon merengue tart. The tart was perfect, fresh crumbly dough and really tasy filling. The eclair was very tasty but the dough didn't feel as fresh. Fair to say we stopped by pretty late in the day, so we didn't mind. Definitely recommend this spot“
