“I had previously been to the LA location but my boyfriend hadn't, so I took the opportunity to finally have him try the sushi I'd been raving about. I was pleasantly surprised, as the food was even better than I'd remember it being in LA. Nick was our server and he absolutely killed it. He was super attentive to our every need, making sure our food and drink orders were exactly what we'd expected. At the end of the night, as the restaurant was closing, he even helped us out with getting the perfect shot of us! I've been to my fair share of upscale restaurants in Miami, and it's pretty standard to expect bad service (nasty attitudes, absurd wait times, etc) but Nick changed that expectation for me. Will definitely be back soon.“

“Great food , good time. Out of Japan was great. Gotta request to add some heat to the dish. Add some peanuts and voila! A " *amn that's a good dish". I'm impressed, full flavor. I hope it is as full flavor box as this trip. Will be back. Eat with chopsticks makes it better for some reason.

After long day at work I went to pick up my order and as soon as I stepped out the door the wind blew hard enough to rip the take out bag and the food was on the floor. She made sure that our group of 12 was accomodated with rooms and continued to work on the issue to get us in the designsted rooms for the bride and guests. “We arrived at 9:30 pm and were the only patrons ? which was slightly worrying. But the staff seemed pretty relaxed about it so we thought... maybe this is a really late night place? And we were right! After 45 minutes more people started coming in and we felt less awkward. All that is to say: book a late sitting! Service was great. We're frequent restaurant patrons and know good food... and this food was seriously good. We hadn't expected such excellent food in this ‘clubstaurant' atmosphere but honestly some of the best food we've had in south beach (we live here). Overall, a bit of a weird start being totally alone in a restaurant on a Saturday night, but if you book for 10:00 or later you're in for a great night!“
