“Really amazing food. Don't let the exterior of the strip mall steer you away. The interior is well decorated and has great ambience but the showstopper is the food. Definitely worth trying the Nikkei Tiraditos, the Aji Amarillo Ceviche, and Lomo Saltado. The waiter made great recommendations and was attentive and made the experience even better. There was another couple who came in while we were there but they decided to go somewhere else. I actually felt sorry for them because they were missing out on the amazing food. Give them a chance. You won't be sorry!“

“Overall, I had a good experience and really enjoyed my visit. My main disappointment was with the initial welcome from the hostess, as I did not feel properly greeted or acknowledged when I arrived. First impressions matter, and I think this could have been handled with a little more warmth and attentiveness. Feeling the need to mention I was charged the no call no show fee even before the 15 minute grace period was up but not even informed it was being refunded after checking in.

The service from my server and food runners/ server assistants however, was definitely the highlight of my experience. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and made sure I felt taken care of throughout my visit. Their hospitality really helped make up for the lackluster greeting.

I did also find the service from the bartenders to be somewhat subpar. There seemed to be a lack of attentiveness and engagement, which took away from what could have been an even better experience.

That said, I appreciate the establishment and what it brings to the community. With a little more consistency in hospitality from the hostess, bar staff or a manager this could have been an excellent overall experience. Thank you. Visit was on Thursday August 27.“

Started with a white wine, these are the dishes I opted for...summer salad, scallop crudo, koshihikari rice, black grouper and parfait. Need I say, everything single dish was a 10/10. The scallop crudo was like nothing I've ever tasted...perfectly cooked scallop with a little kick. The grouper was the star of the show...just perfection. The rice was a pleasant surprise of flavors that took shocked my palate a little but in the best way. Ended the meal with a very delicious rich parfait that wasn't overly sweet. I see why they're Michelin starred and it didn't disappoint, NOT ONE BIT. Space is underwhelming though. “This was my second visit to Sando Miami, and while it was a decent experience overall, there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.

This time around, I tried the pork Japanese curry and the chicken katsu. The curry was a solid 4/5, good, but nothing particularly memorable. Personally, I would have liked a bit more spice, but that comes down to preference. What stood out more to me was the portion size. It leaned on the small-to-medium side, and at $23, it felt a bit overpriced for what you get.

The chicken katsu was more reasonably priced, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. The sandwich was dripping oil, which took away from the overall experience and made it feel heavier than it should be.

All in all, Sando Miami is a decent option, but with a few adjustments, especially on portion value and execution, it could be much better.“
