“Really amazing food. Don't let the exterior of the strip mall steer you away. The interior is well decorated and has great ambience but the showstopper is the food. Definitely worth trying the Nikkei Tiraditos, the Aji Amarillo Ceviche, and Lomo Saltado. The waiter made great recommendations and was attentive and made the experience even better. There was another couple who came in while we were there but they decided to go somewhere else. I actually felt sorry for them because they were missing out on the amazing food. Give them a chance. Started with a white wine, these are the dishes I opted for...summer salad, scallop crudo, koshihikari rice, black grouper and parfait. Need I say, everything single dish was a 10/10. Summer salad was perfectly balanced between the plums, nectarines and avocado and a little spice from the agua diablo. An explosion of flavors in every bite. The scallop crudo was like nothing I've ever tasted...perfectly cooked scallop with a little kick. The grouper was the star of the show...just perfection. The rice was a pleasant surprise of flavors that took shocked my palate a little but in the best way. Ended the meal with a very delicious rich parfait that wasn't overly sweet. I see why they're Michelin starred and it didn't disappoint, NOT ONE BIT. Space is underwhelming though. Not really romantic or cozy or aesthetically pleasing and very small but the food was without a doubt...PHENOMENAL, and that's all that really matters at the end.“

“We arrived just after the 6pm opening and chose two seats at the bar. Our bartender, Guy, was excellent on all counts, friendly, engaging, polite, professional and skilled at his craft.

He gave us a tour of the restaurant,
Including the upstairs rooms with an extensive wall of fine wines from all over the world. The decor and feel is very 1920s, nicely done and undoubtedly an expensive buildout. Guy pointed out the beautiful Murano blown glass chandelier hanging in an alcove just off the bar, specially made for the owners.

Fabulous meal of steak frites and a cheesecake dessert, perfectly prepared and presented. Although we live outside the city, we will go back, next time with guests so that we can show them this golden age venue and hope that Guy is behind the bar again!“

They could offer a bit more Chinese veggie side dishes but it was delicious and we will be back!“

“This was my second visit to Sando Miami, and while it was a decent experience overall, there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.

This time around, I tried the pork Japanese curry and the chicken katsu. The curry was a solid 4/5, good, but nothing particularly memorable. Personally, I would have liked a bit more spice, but that comes down to preference. What stood out more to me was the portion size. It leaned on the small-to-medium side, and at $23, it felt a bit overpriced for what you get.

The chicken katsu was more reasonably priced, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. The sandwich was dripping oil, which took away from the overall experience and made it feel heavier than it should be.

All in all, Sando Miami is a decent option, but with a few adjustments, especially on portion value and execution, it could be much better.“

Always fresh, it tastes the same regardless you eat at Pubbelly Miami Beach, Brickell or Aventura.
