“Talk about a superior and extraordinary dining experience. I can't believe how's just tucked away and you'd literally miss it. I guess it makes it a hidden gem and those never ever disappoint. Needless to say, the service is unmatched here from the moment you walk in. Started with a white wine, these are the dishes I opted for...summer salad, scallop crudo, koshihikari rice, black grouper and parfait. Need I say, everything single dish was a 10/10. Summer salad was perfectly balanced between the plums, nectarines and avocado and a little spice from the agua diablo. An explosion of flavors in every bite. The scallop crudo was like nothing I've ever tasted...perfectly cooked scallop with a little kick. The grouper was the star of the show...just perfection. The rice was a pleasant surprise of flavors that took shocked my palate a little but in the best way. Ended the meal with a very delicious rich parfait that wasn't overly sweet. I see why they're Michelin starred and it didn't disappoint, NOT ONE BIT. Space is underwhelming though. Not really romantic or cozy or aesthetically pleasing and very small but the food was without a doubt...PHENOMENAL, and that's all that really matters at the end.“

There was only one other table of guests at 12:30 but it looked like busy take out orders. Maybe that’s why the service was really lackadaisical—had to ask for drink refills, were handed a box for our remaining pieces without any service or ginger or sauce as would find in a take out order and we had the equivalent of a full roll left.“

And I especially have to highlight LUISA — her drinks were AMAZING. You can really tell how much talent and dedication she puts into every cocktail. “We arrived just after the 6pm opening and chose two seats at the bar. Our bartender, Guy, was excellent on all counts, friendly, engaging, polite, professional and skilled at his craft.

He gave us a tour of the restaurant,
Including the upstairs rooms with an extensive wall of fine wines from all over the world. The decor and feel is very 1920s, nicely done and undoubtedly an expensive buildout. Guy pointed out the beautiful Murano blown glass chandelier hanging in an alcove just off the bar, specially made for the owners.

Fabulous meal of steak frites and a cheesecake dessert, perfectly prepared and presented. Although we live outside the city, we will go back, next time with guests so that we can show them this golden age venue and hope that Guy is behind the bar again!“
