“As a Miami local, I look forward to trying new eats around the area. This place easily puts Benihana out of business. We paid $29 for the hibachi chicken AND rice, veggies, etc. Safe to say we had leftovers. The service is also great, very attentive and sweet. Would come back again.“

“Overall, I had a good experience and really enjoyed my visit. My main disappointment was with the initial welcome from the hostess, as I did not feel properly greeted or acknowledged when I arrived. First impressions matter, and I think this could have been handled with a little more warmth and attentiveness. Feeling the need to mention I was charged the no call no show fee even before the 15 minute grace period was up but not even informed it was being refunded after checking in.

The service from my server and food runners/ server assistants however, was definitely the highlight of my experience. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and made sure I felt taken care of throughout my visit. Their hospitality really helped make up for the lackluster greeting.

I did also find the service from the bartenders to be somewhat subpar. There seemed to be a lack of attentiveness and engagement, which took away from what could have been an even better experience.

That said, I appreciate the establishment and what it brings to the community. With a little more consistency in hospitality from the hostess, bar staff or a manager this could have been an excellent overall experience. Thank you. Visit was on Thursday August 27.“

“This was our second time coming here, our first visit was for takeout, and this time my husband and I came in for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. Lately, it’s been hard to find restaurants that really put care and attention into their dishes, but you can tell they do here.

The manager was incredibly kind, the music and lighting created a great atmosphere, and the overall experience was wonderful. We never felt rushed and were able to really enjoy our meal and the vibe of the restaurant.

“Came down to Miami from Orlando and looked up for some Thai cuisine. This particular restaurant caught my eye because of certain items they serve is different from the rest. When we arrive the staffs were really nice! The atmosphere feels nice and you can enjoy their culture. Now, the food? It was fantastic! As an Asian person who is Burmese and Karen and eaten Thai food almost my life, this is an authentic Thai cuisine! I’ve been to many other Thai restaurant and it’s very Americanized, but this restaurant has street Thai food and more options than other places would! They even make the food the correct way!! “Visited in September 2022. Food and atmosphere were good. This is a good Latin spot to come visit with friends or as a date. Definitely a good spot for drinks and hookah, as the night gets later, the DJ comes out, and it's a nice lounge kind of vibe. Drinks were strong but good, and the food was good as well. “This was my second visit to Sando Miami, and while it was a decent experience overall, there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.

This time around, I tried the pork Japanese curry and the chicken katsu. The curry was a solid 4/5, good, but nothing particularly memorable. Personally, I would have liked a bit more spice, but that comes down to preference. What stood out more to me was the portion size. It leaned on the small-to-medium side, and at $23, it felt a bit overpriced for what you get.

The chicken katsu was more reasonably priced, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. The sandwich was dripping oil, which took away from the overall experience and made it feel heavier than it should be.

All in all, Sando Miami is a decent option, but with a few adjustments, especially on portion value and execution, it could be much better.“
