“Flavor is on-point! Ribs and BBQ chicken is fire. BBQ sauce is unique and delicious.

A few stars off for atmosphere because they could use a redecoration. It wouldn't cost much and it would make the place much more attractive. Then again, I came to eat, not to sit in a pretty environment.“

“Let me start with THIS FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Im from GA so to have some Real southern cooked food tasted like home. I only got video for 2 of our plates, but the rest of our family ordered & we all loved it. The restaurant was small, so it's more of an in & out type restaurant. We took an uber there & even though it didn't seem like an area we needed to be in as tourists, we felt right at home. I believe it was a busy time for them as they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch, bc the wait was kinda long, which didn't matter once we tasted our food & I now want to go back for breakfast. While waiting I noticed a memory mural on the wall & it was beautiful! And shows why this food was so good & tasted like the sweet loving feeling of home, bc her family carried out her dream with her restaurant & delicious menu. I wish many blessings upon everyone here & my family thanks you!“
“Average breakfast . I had grits, fried eggs and sausage with biscuits. The tea was good and southern sweeet. The young waiter, Blow, was extremely nice and calm. He wasn’t your typical waiter, but his style worked for a small soul food restaurant. The other male waiter/bus boy moved at super human speed. The place was very clean and definitely is a favorite of the locals. It was my first time visiting. I will definitely try it if I am ever back there.“
“The lady in there was VERY VERY UNDERSTANDING! I told her how my wife was allergic to chicken and do you know she pulled out fresh grease to fry her ribs in!! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK TO SEE HER! “Just chose to stop in fresh off a Carnival cruise. We decided to ignore the reviews and give it a try. I don’t know why people are so critical, food was hot, fresh and just what we were looking for. As far as timeliness, we don’t do fast food! If it isn’t prepared with love I don’t want it, and that requires time.“

“Every time that I go, it’s what I expect. That is some good food for a good price. No one ever said this was the place of spectacular southern hospitality, just that they provide food. I mind my business, get what I need, fill my belly, and have a good day. I have never been met with a nasty attitude because I don’t go there looking for people to be overly cheerful and friendly. I respect them, they respect me, I get my food, and I’m out. Imma keep going there for breakfast because I like it and because they’re black.“

“The food was amazing but not a proper establishment for guests who want to dine in. The chef of the establishment is not customer friendly, she did not help me get through the door knowing I was struggling to get out of the building with my bike.“

“The fried turkey wings with lemon pepper seasoning was amazing. The yams were delicious, but the greens were just okay. The waitress made really great recommendations. Everyone enjoyed their food, although they ordered straight off the menu, chicken, steak, and shrimp. I asked the waitress for advice. They all ordered the mystery mix drink while I ordered the waitress choice and mine tasted better. Overall, it was a great dining experience. You won't be disappointed.

“The food was really good. I just think it wasn't enough people covering the tables. The problem is had was I ordered a side of broccoli with my Alfredo. They brought my broccoli out 8 min before bringing out my main dish. Which left the broccoli sort of cold. Why not bring out all the food AT ONCE?????? That made no sense. Then we ordered as a group. The food came out all all different times. That's a no no at a restaurant you don't bring one food out 15 min earlier than the next. Learn to prep where the food all arrives at the same time. The waiter did the best she could but could've used some help. The food was really good though I can't deny that. Just a few things to work on it would have gotten a 10/10.“
