About NAOE

NAOE is a renowned Japanese restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. Known for its top-notch Omakase menu, the restaurant has received praise for its quality and attention to detail. The service is prompt, with a welcoming and engaging staff, including the attentive Chef Kevin Cory.

The menu features a variety of delectable dishes, such as a beautiful bento box with squash-blossom Chawanmushi, local mahi mahi, organic shiitake, and vinegared lobster tail with ginger and cucumber blossoms. Guests also enjoy the fried Mamey and Konjac root, as well as the Truffle sushi, dumplings, and hot pot, which are all recommended. The Pink Moon oyster suimono, Miyago oyster, and uni are particularly noted for their excellence. The sushi ice cream dessert has also wowed many diners.

While some dishes, like the shoyu-marinated local Kingfish and unagi courses, may have lacked intensity, the emphasis on locally sourced and organic ingredients is appreciated. The sake, sourced from the chef's family's Nakamura Brewery, is described as outstanding.

The intimate, traditional Japanese setting, along with the lack of external signage, enhances the unique dining experience at NAOE, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts seeking something truly authentic and beyond the ordinary.

Best Japanese experience I’ve ever had. Honestly, this place doesn’t need to be this good. Everything’s made in house, and they source a lot locally. They will tell you where the rice comes from and exactly how they prepare it. It’s not cheap, but for the quality it’s an absolute bargain. Blows away literally every other omakase spot I’ve been to (including in Japan).

Such an intimate and beautiful omakase experience at NAOE!! The three things I look for most in omakase are quality, knowledge, and above all else, creativity, and Chef Kevin and the team exceeded my expectations in every category.

I especially appreciated the attention to detail in each dish and the incorporation of seasonal ingredients, like baby squid, which is only available for a few months each year. I usually gravitate toward red fish like salmon and tuna, but this...read full review
