“I’m not one to leave a bunch of reviews. Double Knot was something the Ave desperately needed. The atmosphere and welcome are second to none. We sat at the bar and Nikki took the best care of us we have had in years. She was also running service bar for the whole restaurant. Absolutely crushed it! The manager Nicole was more than accommodating. She was attentive and I basically let her order my entire meal. There were no misses. From the tuna tartar to the wagyu bavette steak, everything came out quick and presented perfectly and delicious. Edamame dumplings were incredible. All the nigiri and small plates as well. Probably the most unlikely star of the show was their soft serve ice cream. Basically had everything on the menu and already planning my next visit. What an awesome experience. 10/10“

“Ogawa is easily one of the best omakase experiences I’ve had in Miami.

I went with two of my best friends on a Wednesday night, and we somehow got lucky enough to be the only guests there. It basically turned into a private omakase experience, which made an already special meal even more memorable.

The chef was fantastic—interesting, engaging, and incredibly thoughtful about every dish. You could tell how much intention went into each course, and everything was beautifully executed. The sake selection was also incredible and complemented the meal perfectly. We even added a few extra pieces at the end because we weren’t quite ready for it to be over.

Obviously, Ogawa is not an inexpensive night out, but this is one of those meals where you walk away feeling like it was absolutely worth it. For a special occasion or if you simply love great sushi, I could not recommend Ogawa more. One of Miami’s very best.“

“I've been meaning to try Sushi Corner after reading many reviews about how tasty and affordable this restaurant is, finding all these reviews to be completely true! This hole in the wall gem of West Kendall is well worth your time to try! I came in with my boyfriend last night to their small no frills location and was immediately greeted by our server who was very attentive throughout our whole meal. It's true that they do serve everything using plastic ware which to me doesn't matter at all. I care about the quality of food and the food is definitely top notch! My boyfriend and I decided to order various menu items to share. I started with a hot bowl of Miso Soup $2 which was good; loved the portion which I felt was more than most places. Next we had the Rainbow Roll $10 (California roll topped w/various fish) which was glaringly fresh and came out beautifully. The Sexy Roll $10 (fish tempura, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, rolled w/soy paper, tempura flakes, eel sauce, spicy mayo) was by far my favorite just because of all the incredible flavors in it. The Florida Roll $9 (spicy conch, cucumber, masago) definitely surprised me with its spice level and amount of conch within it. Lastly, we ordered the Sushi Corner Fried Rice $8 (chicken, shrimp, vegetables, and masago) which ultimately surprised me in portion and tastiness. The fried rice isn't over done with soy sauce so it remains tasting light though its also savory because of a smoky flavor. So tasty! “We went there for my birthday and we loved it! The restaurant's ambience was so inviting and upscale, food was very interesting and delicious, and drinks were pretty! We loved crispy rice spicy tuna- very crispy, and rock shrimps were great which made us order rock shrimp roll( my favorite)! Drinks were a little strange- fortune teller was very specific, i was expecting more whisky flavor, but it tasted more sour. The restaurant is very beautiful, love it that it's outside but feels like you are in Japanese garden! We will be back!!!“

“I was a bit disappointed with my lunch at SuViche. The ceviche tasted quite bland and was missing the bright citrus flavor that really makes ceviche stand out. Had it been dressed with a bit more citrus I think I would have enjoyed it much more. I ordered the lunch special with sushi and ceviche but I found the sushi had a bit too much mayonnaise. The flan was also denser than I expected and wasn’t my favorite. At $27 including the automatic 18% gratuity I didn’t feel it was a good value especially since I’ve had much better lunches elsewhere for less. Overall I’d give it 4 stars because the location is convenient. Unfortunately the food didn’t quite meet my expectations especially for the price.“
