“Outstanding sushi, delightful desserts, and the inviting atmosphere, acknowledge the reasonable bill for three people. Share the incident where you asked about taking dessert, emphasizing the unwelcoming staff response. Add that, as a professional chef, you found this surprising. Include the staff repeatedly asking you to leave while still not finishing our dessert, despite available tables, due to the upcoming dinner service.“
“I used to live in North Miami Beach and passed by several times. Finally went today. They have quite a large menu for such a small place. It says busy though. They have a selection of 4 or 5 beers maybe more but that's all I could see. Caribbean shrimp tempura was awesome along with some edamameamd was it down with a Corona. For dessert I had the cheesecake tempura which was way ways better then I thought it would be. Awesome place.“
“You guys will have a gastronomical orgasm here. From the sushi to the dessert I wanted to cry tears of joy with each bite. You guys remember when the restaurant critic had a bite of Remy’s ratatouille and it took him back to his childhood when he was just a lad, that’s what will happen to you here.“
“I was in town for a quick visit and I am so glad this was my dinner stop. The ambiance is great! It’s very quiet and well decorated. The seating is supportive of any kind of nice dinner you’d like to have with others—from business meetings to dates. Our waiter was really helpful in walking us through the menu and made great recommendations both in dishes not to miss and what was a reasonable amount of food. The cocktails were solid and varied enough that there was something for everyone. The mushroom in brown butter sauce and the lobster Alfredo are both stand out dishes not to be missed. This one is definitely worth your time.“
“Very nice experience! Great for date night we went around 9 on a Sunday and it felt like a private dining experience. The waitress was very knowledgeable about everything and very personable. The food was fabulous we got the Caesar salad, seafood risotto, and chicken scallopini. Will definitely go back we dug into our mains so fast we forgot to take pictures!“
“7.9/10 Dined on 3/11/24 Originally hailing from Austin, Uchi's Miami outpost serves non-traditional Japanese cuisine in a sleek and upscale environment. Uchi kind of feels like what Nobu was 15 years ago - an innovative twist on Japanese food. At Uchi, however, you won't find seemingly ubiquitous spicy mayo or rock shrimp tempura. We went for happy hour and sampled nearly all of the hot and cold dishes offered. Many were well conceptualized and delicious, but some fell a bit flat. Even happy hour was a four dollar sign affair, so we can only imagine the sticker shock of a full fledged dinner. Overall, Uchi was a very solid meal although the flavors did not soar quite as high as the price tag. See our full review on Instagram @twogaysthreetakes ________________________________ Oysters beet mignonette, orange Sake Tartare atlantic salmon, apple, nori chip Paloma Crudo suzuki, mescal zu, finger lime Walu Walu oak grilled escolar, candied citrus, yuzupon Crispy Rice gyutoro, broccoli, salsa macha, shallot Wagyu Gyoza chili crisp, mango chutney Spring Rolls duck confit, braised cabbage, spicy ponzu Karaage chicken thigh, sweet chili, seasonal pickles Fried Milk vanilla custard, salted fudge, toasted blondie ________________________________ Overall, I enjoyed our meal at Uchi. There were some dishes that were absolutely delicious - the paloma crudo, for example, which featured ultra-fresh sea bass in a light and smoky sauce. The walu walu was similarly excellent and glazed with sticky sweet candied citrus. The charred short rib served over a bed of crispy rice with flavorful salsa matcha was a treat. The wagyu gyoza were juicy and surprisingly paired well with the mango chutney. Not every dish stood out though. The spring rolls with duck confit were minuscule and lackluster for the price and the sauce was far too thin to cling to the rolls. The chicken karaage was inconsistent - some pieces were crisp while others lacked breading and felt soggy. The fried milk dessert was good, but its arrival with the check was tacky and soured the end of an otherwise pleasant meal. -TWP ________________________________ Uchi happy hour is basically just bougie girl dinner. We got half off a bottle of sparkling rosé and a series of small bites that ranged a bit in their quality, but on average were well-conceptualized and featured top notch ingredients. The raw seafood stood out for being extremely fresh and were often paired with an interesting citrus-forward sauce. The crispy rice and gyutoro was also very tasty and well-executed and felt like the best value on the menu. Some other items, notably the spring rolls with duck confit, felt really skimpy for their price and didn't wow us in any particular way. Overall, Uchi offers creative dishes and excellent ingredients, but lacks the value and consistency of our highest-rated restaurants. -JB“
“As always, the service food and ambience I always make this place when I come to Miami for anything. They are open until 5 AM and at midnight I had pork to Ramen at midnight meal! My server, Henry was cordial, professional, and allowed me to have my privacy, uninterrupted, for my single dinner. Highly Recommended!Dietary restrictions: I appreciate it that the waiter asked me if I had any allergies although my meal didn’t have anything that could be allergen. That was conscientious. A good thing“
“During my previous visit /delivery weeks ago I had an issue with my order. The manager Julio Carreno went above and beyond to make sure this time I would be highly satisfied and my order would be perfect and he would hand deliver it himself to make sure everything was done correctly. I must say he's a man of his word and made everything perfect. On top of the wonderful service and great tasting sushi, I received a dessert and a bag of corn nuts. Thanks again Julio for everything, I appreciate you.“
“I recently enjoyed dining again at Sushi Bichi, a casual culinary experience that exceeded all my expectations. The outdoor atmosphere and festive diners perfectly combined for an early Saturday dinner. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the visit. The sushi at Sushi Bichi is nothing short of spectacular. Each piece is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The freshness of the fish is evident in every bite, and the skill of the sushi chefs is truly impressive. Whether traditional or creative rolls, each dish is a delightful surprise for the taste buds. I enjoyed the yellowtail and the crispy rice, which were more than enough to fill me up. In addition to the fantastic sushi, Sushi Bichi's drink selection was excellent. The Watermelon cocktail is delicious (and packs a punch). The sake menu was extensive, offering a variety of choices to complement the meal perfectly if that is your thing. I particularly enjoyed the recommendations from the knowledgeable staff, who were attentive and friendly throughout the evening. The bar was very busy and lively at 5 pm, so I would recommend it for post-beach (which is within walking distance) or after-work cocktails. Overall, my two experiences at Sushi Bichi were flawless. The combination of exceptional sushi, excellent drinks, and top-notch service makes this restaurant a true gem in Japanese cuisine. The locals love this place, so give it a try. I highly recommend Sushi Bichi to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. This is a place for casual fun and excellent sushi, whether you're alone or with a group. You will feel welcomed and make sure to come hungry. Reservations recommended.“
“It was a interesting mix of food cultures- amazing food. The sushi here was tasty, unique and quite fresh. Would recommend this place for anyone willing to try new food fusion and lovers of sushi. I loved the atmosphere and the music was very inviting.“
“Faux-makase! (Fake omakase) is exactly what it is. Self proclaimed “non traditional omakase.” Also know as slow-makase. Nossa deserves a noose-a. I was recommended this restaurant by my hotel concierge. Had a horrible experience here. Should have known since they require pre-payment online via tock which actually codes as professional services and not a restaurant so they avoid the credit card fees. By the way, they will ask you to pay a ridiculous and mandatory 20% service charge plus tax after your “meal.” After payment, you will receive an email which says “The day of your reservation you will receive an email with instructions to access to the speakeasy bar.” However, I never received any email. I put nossa into google and it took me to the filthy, run down Hyatt centric hotel. I went inside and asked where the restaurant was and they took me through a stinky alley next to the hotel trash room said to knock the door. This made me extremely uncomfortable and almost decided to just leave. Little did I know the horror I was about to experience. I knocked the door and a lady asked for the password so I gave my last name on the reservation. She didn’t open and kept asking for a password. I demanded she open the door and gave my last name on the reservation. She said I should have received instructions on a paper from another restaurant on the other side of the street which I was not informed of. She said I was late and that they already started so she showed me to my seat. The room felt like a sewer with too many people crammed around a dirty scratched up bar. I was in group 11 which means there were at least 20 guests there. The music was horrendous and unbearable. The ambiance was very creepy. The staff smelled really bad. I was offered a welcome drink which I opted for a sparking water which was not sparking at all as it was flat without bubbles so they brought me a bottle instead. They didn’t ask about any allergies and handed me the first course which I had to spit out because it contained alcohol which I don’t drink. The chef kept inaudibly shouting out the descriptions of the dishes for each course towards different corners of the room in an attempt for everyone to hear but you only hear and understand the words which were said in your direction. All the ingredients were old and not fresh. The food did not taste good. The portions were tiny so don’t think you’ll be full when you leave here by any means. The place is extremely unsanitary. The chef even wipes your plates using the same towel as the previous groups one after another. I was absolutely disgusted. Finally the last course came and again I was served alcohol without being told what it was. Luckily the chef caught it before I could drink it and replaced it with iced tea. I asked if we’re were finished and she said yes. The experience was a complete waste of time so we were happy to walk out and leave. The lady chased us on our way out and said there was an additional payment to be made for gratuity and tax. I asked if this was mandatory and she answered yes. Mind you this was never communicated before. She also said she didn’t have a wireless credit card machine so I gave her my physical card to go swipe and come back. The chef came out, handed me my receipt and credit card then asked: “Is there a reason why you’re unhappy.” I answered: Yes, I didn’t enjoy the experience. He shrugged his shoulders and replied: “I’m sorry but unfortunately not everybody does, I guess” I was shocked and just stormed out. Exit left next to the trash room, literally.“
“I have never before had a culinary experience like my time at Hiyakawa. From the moment you walk in you’ll be greeted by Amber and taken to your table, where you’re family. If you’re having trouble deciding on what to order, ask Miguel to give you the Miguelito special, your taste buds with thank you. Don’t sleep on the premier sushi/omakase experience in Miami!“
“Don't hesitate to book a table at this gem of a restaurant—it's quickly become my top choice for sticky rice and omakase dining in the area. It is located in a vibrant area with a spacious courtyard and various shops, and it offers the perfect opportunity for a post-meal exploration or dancing. The 16-course omakase experience here is a standout, especially for someone accustomed to the sushi scenes in NYC. It competes strongly on both quality and price. From the outset, the hostess Caroline set the tone with her warm, attentive service, ensuring my water glass was never empty and making my solo dining experience far from lonely through engaging conversations. The chef, with her Laotian heritage, masterfully prepared each dish, from the hand rolls to the sticky rice selections, adding a personal touch that enhances the dining experience. The variety of dishes was impressive, with the Japanese scallops, the A5 Wagyu hotplate, and the hand rolls being my personal highlights. To finished off the evening, the hostess surprised me with an early birthday desert treat. This, was truly the highlight of my food trip in Miami.Every time I find myself in Miami, this will undoubtedly be my chosen spot for an exceptional dining experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant and space has a ramp to enter the space.“
“Excellent atmosphere, ambience, and service. The menu includes very detailed and accurate photos of all the dishes. The food exceeded even my high expectations, and the meal was very affordable for the quality. Will certainly be coming back. Thank you Leonela for the excellent service!“
“Amazing service. The food got delivered very fast to the table. The Atlantic roll and Mango tango is a must, very delicious. The portion of the sushi is very good for the price. Thanks to the waiter Ann, she was very sweet and gave us suggestions about different rolls.“
“Had amazing experience at this restaurant! The food really exceeded my expectations, especially for being in the middle of Wynwood, I personally haven't had many good dining experiences here. My favorite were the Rock n Roll tempura and the Hoshi Dragon rolls, which were their signature dishes. The fish was fresh, and the dishes were all visually appealing. The service was also excellent, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. I will definitely be coming back!“
“Just perfect! We went to try this place based on the reviews and I have to say that it was one of the best choices in Florida. From the moment we opened the door to enter the place until we left we enjoyed every minute. We ordered 3 types of sushi Arigatai Fuego Roll, Evi Roll and Tsunami Roll. All 3 were very TOP, a mix of textures and flavors that are worth trying. As for the service, it was equal to or better than the food. Ricardo, who served us, was very kind and helpful, always attentive, attentive and without overwhelming us, we just knew he was there but without overwhelming us. Thanks Richard! This type of customer service makes people want to return to places. The atmosphere is also spectacular, background music with the right volume, everything clean and well placed, beautiful decoration, in short, this place deserves not 5 but 10 stars.100% recommended. We will definitely return“
“My Tokyo born wife and I usually sit at the counter and talk to the chef while he works. We could not do that here but we enjoyed dinner even though it was served in groups of sushi. The toro was very good as was the eel. Sake options were wide and we enjoyed a bottle of dry sake. It is a small space not as cluttered as our dives in Tokyo but ii did have a nice family feel. The staff was very helpful and kind. We asked for "small rice" and they did as we asked. It is sort of tucked in to the back of a large condo building and finding it takes a bit of persistence.“
“We had an amazing experience ordering Taiko Sushi in our stay in Miami, the delivery was fast and the fish was very fresh, you can notice the quality of the food at a glance also, the presentation of the pieces were also very good and well organized in the “barco” I will definitely order it again in our next stay in Miami.“
“Best sushi-train-style restaurant I've been to. Plates float along a continuously replenished river around a central bar and you are free to grab and go as you please. Prices are determined at the end by your stack of plates and each individual plate's color (reference board of prices are on the east wall). They do not take reservations and the small place fills up almost instantly - write your name, leave a number, and head to one of the local bars to grab a drink while you wait. They'll call you and you'll have 3 minutes to arrive or they'll consider it abandoned.Parking is fairly easily found with street parking and muni surface lot behind.Good sake collection, plus an additional menu to order hot items.9.5/10 would recommend!Vegetarian options: I saw a couple of avocado rolls and seaweed salad for sure. I'm guessing the menu has the rest of the options.“
“That was on a different level than me and my lady have experienced before. We read no reviews and had zero expectations and had the a BEST time. The food was beyond expectation but the atmosphere and service tired the whole experience to the perfect evening. We ordered extra chutoro, Spanish mackerel, and hobo at the end understanding this is a seasonal menu we can’t wait to come back for every season. 100/10 of an experience!“
“Delicious sushi, the Chef's preparation, I loved the superStarts roll, my favorite today, the service was very friendly and the place is nice, we celebrated birthdays and Delphina served us very nice and helpful.Vegetarian options: Rich and delicious !!“
“The best restaurant in Medellín now here in Miami, everything excellent, the food, the atmosphere, the location but above all the attention from Leo and José who made us feel very welcome and were always very attentive. We will be back . Many successes!“
“Clarine was our server, she was awesome!I loved the dishes! The items that stood out most and are still on my mind is the Pollo Picante, the King Oyster Mushroom Tostadas, and the Tiger roll. The drinks were awesome as well, good potency! I asked Clarine what are some popular cocktails according to what she has seen her guests select. She pointed to the Sawayaka. It was delicious and fit for edging off a hard day at work. The one thing I was unaware of is that the venue has an entertainer, the lady who danced with fire, and the DJ. They both were great and complemented each other in perfect synchronization. Thank you!“
“The Ichimi Ramen was really good, it tasted very different from other tonkotsu ramen ive had before, this was tasted more earthy and I loved it. The atmosphere was nice, low music, good ambience. Extremely fast, ordered the food and it was on my table under 5min. 100% recommend.“
“Amazing and friendly staff. Excellent food! My boyfriend and I love coming here to enjoy a nice and affordable meal together. All of the food is great, I recommend starting with an appetizer, then trying the Pad See Ew, and finish with the best Lychee in town!“
“Keuh is a hidden gem! We absolutely love this place. Some of the best sushi/japanese in the city. I wanted to highlight Sai, the manager. Our daughter got very sick last night, and she showed genuine concern and helped to take care of her. It was a real human touch that went a very long way.10/10“
“Fresh, creative and delicious! We were very impressed with the originality of the sushi options they offer. Great care goes into the ingredients and their freshness as well as the eco friendly plates, cups and utensils they use. The locations is great and easy to get to from the highway. They also offer excellent dessert choices. We recommend Kraken Crudo highly ♥️“
“You must come and enjoy the food, the place, wonderful location, great environment and service! You should come. Truly unmissable. The food is exceptionally delicious, served by very attentive, respectful staff in an atmosphere of tranquility and joy!“
“Kuro is by far the absolute best sushi restaurant in all of South Florida. The tuna is almost dark red, the scallops are fresh and the salmon almost melts in your mouth. If you're expecting a ton of sauce to hide the fish taste, stick to your mall sushi restaurant. Thanks to the owner for keeping a super high standard!!“
“Let me start by saying we ordered take out through Uber Eats. We’ve experienced ordering sushi for delivery and receiving sushi from places we normally love to dine in at but for delivery the freshness is not the same. This delivery took an hour. And the freshness was shocking. Every roll was packed with flavor simple but most important fresh. I am so pleased. This was our first time trying it out and I will definitely order again and visit for dine in.“
“Very good food and service. I love Drunken Noodles but I suck with spicy food. The owner was extremely accommodating and was able to ensure the dish was made without spice although that went against all traditions. If you're looking for quality Thai food definitely give them a shot. You will not regret it.Dietary restrictions: Accommodated Spice Preference“
“As a local Google guide, I had the pleasure of visiting Mia Oceanfront Restaurant in Hollywood, Florida, and I must say, it's a hidden gem worth sharing! One of their standout dishes is the traditional Russian Borscht soup, a flavorful and comforting delight that I can't get enough of. The service at Mia Oceanfront is top-notch, the food is simply fantastic, and the entertainment adds to the overall dining experience. What sets Mia Oceanfront apart is their thoughtful amenities, such as their dedicated kids' room where children can play and have fun while parents enjoy their meal—a brilliant concept that offers a stress-free dining experience for families (it's like free babysitting!). This was my second time at Mia Oceanfront, and I absolutely love it. Whenever I crave good Russian cuisine, Mia Oceanfront will be my go-to spot without a doubt. If you're in the mood for delicious Russian fare in a welcoming atmosphere, Mia Oceanfront is definitely the place to be.“
“Went out to this place on a Saturday and walked in to an amazing ambiance. There was this amazing singer Stu Sauce and he brought a whole band out. The service was amazing. The show was great. And the food was spectacular. I had the black dragon roll and also the combination fried rice and it did not disappoint. I ended up staying much longer than expected because I loved the music and the experience. Thank you for the amazing food and music. I will absolutely have to go again.“
“After a long day driving we needed to have a positive dining experience…! We were not disappointed. A bit of a sleeper, since it’s located in a strip mall, but a mood was set by the charming tables outside. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived inside, and the service was excellent throughout the meal. We had miso soup and a green curry Thai meal. SO delicious! And the portions were very generous.I highly recommend this place !“
“We booked a table a week early, only to be told that there would be a 30-40 minute wait to get our table. Then they told us we could sit outside right now, but it was very windy and cold so we declined. After a few minutes we insisted and we got a table inside. The staff was very friendly, the food very good and service was quick.“
“I am from Chicago where there are many great steak and ethnic restaurants so when I visit Miami I want a unique experience with excellent food! I love the Pink Dolphin because it delivers really tasty fusion Japanese Peruvian food from a food truck! I loved the bright pink patio and the adjacent art gallery! And, I did have a drink in the hidden VIP bar which had the movie Casablanca theme! I am going to celebrate my March birthday in Lauderdale and am planning to have my birthday dinner at the Pink Dolphin! That’s how much I enjoyed the atmosphere and food!Parking: Parking was easy to find Excellent location“
“Watr is one of my favorite rooftops in Miami because of its chic decor, relaxed ambiance, and fantastic views. This rooftop lies above 1 Hotel which has a modern lobby with spacious seating and a central theme around nature. Their beautiful pools, trees, and views make this place picture-worthy. I did not get a chance to try food from their menu but I would come back for dinner when I am in the mood for Japanese cuisine. The drinks are a little overpriced but the location and service make up for it. Can't wait for my next visit!“
“Had a great experience at TYO! Highly recommended. Friendly staff and owner. very accommodating to our three kids, including a baby. The food was great and it came after a very reasonable wait time. Nice ambience, perfect place between casual and upscale, but didn’t feel casual at all!“
“First time eating from this restaurant and the server and food was great. The utensils weren’t thoroughly cleaned and they were spiders and spiderwebs on the windowsill. A little spring cleaning and maybe changing the dish detergent, this place could be five stars.“
“We stopped for lunch today. Everything was so fantastic. The sushi was presented well and the service was wonderful. They have an extensive menu, but seem to be masters of all. The tempura was especially excellent!Looking forward to coming back and working our way through the menu.“
“I'm an avid sushi lover, I can only afford it once a week, but may I say that I have been to other "high-end" sushi restaurants, and none of them top this sushi sake location. From the service to the presentation, and from the freshness to the quality, they make sure to provide a piece of their hearts into my food every single time. There's no need to eat at any other place than this Sushi Sake. P.s their hibachi dinners are delicious as well.“
“Ordered through DoorDash and loved everything I got. Fresh sushi I am surprised there isn't more reviews. Hamachi jalapeño was my favorite, comes with ponzu and jalapeño. I also got the crispy tuna rice, rice was crispy but the tuna could be a bit more spicy. Professional roll was yummy. Food was ready fast I will definitely be ordering again“
“The ambiance and decor of the restaurant were fantastic, although they could consider lowering the music, especially during quieter moments with only a few occupied tables. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was superb. I particularly enjoyed the skirt steak; its flavor was outstanding! Additionally, I found the shrimp and calamari more appealing than the mashed potatoes; they were delicious, and the sauce was delightful. Don't miss out on trying their mondongo; it's amazing. I highly recommend this place!“
“The restaurant is situated inside another restaurant called Reunion Kitchen. You come in and they walk you through the restaurant into a back room through a storage room. You feel very special as you walk through other diners. Once inside the room is very simply decorated and very clean. The server was very pleasant and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing but not on the cheap side. The drinks are also pricey but delicious. All in all I would definitely go back and I highly recommend this place.“
“We love this little gem ! Nice restaurant, quite busy but good service. The menu has great options and some special diner offers. The food was fresh and excellent ! This wouldn’t be a gastronomic option but excellent place for family diner or as a couple. Pricing is reasonable for the quality so we will surely be back and recommend it !“
“First, the food is delicious. But second, the service is above and beyond. We ordered takeout and our DoorDash guy never showed up. They remade all the food and the owner herself drove it to our house. So thoughtful and kind - we are Shokudo patrons for life.Vegetarian options: Tofu fried rice!!!! Yum“
“This place is delicious. I've gone twice in two weeks. Surprisingly, my 1 year old loves the Veggie fried rice. Sushi, salads, and soup are great, too! I will be returning again. Service is amazing. In the midst of my toddler playing with the chopsticks, service did not give me the side eye. This place should have a 5 star.“
“One of my favourite poke experiences ever!! Travelling with my son, quick trip down Collins Avenue and came across this amazing gem. Have eaten at many poke places across North America, this is one of the best. Super fresh seafood, friendly staff and fascinating sauce blends. Loved it.“
“HIDDEN JEWEL!!This is an original experience with Asian food. Not the regular japanese although their rolls are very good. This is Japanese tapas place!Try their mixed salad with tasty and light dressing, Lotus roots kinpira, spicy tuna harumaki (rice paper, no rice), seabass miso, and their kushi yaki (grill): gizzard, quail eggs, shitake mushroom and not least, lamb chop hichimi yaki!!Very attentive service but too few people. I hope more people discover this quality japanese restaurant se we can come for many years to come.Do not miss it!“
