Disappointing:( Pork Belly was literally 2 logs of fat. Side potatoes SUPER salty. Crème Brûlée was runny. Filet was good & cooked correctly. I wouldn’t recommend or return. Service was fine. Expensive
First of all, the setting is amazing. The decor is beautiful. I see the vision. Hotel Effie is a great place in and of itself. As far as the Ovide Restaurant, they need to work on their menu for the price point they are at. I had the pork chop and it was delicious but the rest of the plate (the sides) were just ok. Went for brunch with a big group. Everyone loved their dishes and drinks. I got the shrimp and grits and was very pleased they actually gave a good amount of shrimp.
Service was wonderful every step of the way from our hostess to our server Ashley. They made it such a great experience, we can’t wait to go back.

Ovide offers an exceptional dining experience in the Sandestin area. The food is incredible and creative, with dishes like the fried chicken platter with collards and cheesy potatoes, the catch of the day, and perfectly seared scallops. The atmosphere is comfortable and sophisticated, making it a great spot for special occasions and clients. The staff work hard to provide fantastic, attentive, and informative service, with wonderful food recommendations. Many find the food unbelievably good and one of the best meals ever had, with great entrees and those biscuits. Overall, Ovide remains a fantastic addition to the local dining scene.
