“Amazing sushi! We had incredibly fresh fish and superb tuna tataki all washed down good saki. In addition, the hamachi collar and miso cod were fantastic. This is the best sushi I have had in the US, beating Michelin starred places in cities such as Chicago. You won’t be disappointed, but get there early as they fill up fast!“

I used to be a regular before the remodel and when the old management owned the store, simply because I love sushi, and let me tell you…it was never a pleasant experience…between the workers, attitudes, waits, etc. Today was my first time back after the remodel and to my surprise, with new management. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Haley, my waitress, had the bubbliest personality and was SO happy to be there. The sushi chefs were phenomenal, friendly, and good at what they do. Tracey, the new manager of the location, took the time to speak with me and was extremely personable and kind. A complete 180 of the service I used to get. I will definitely be back, and 1000000% recommend. If you have ever had a bad experience in the past, for sure go back with the new management. You are in for a treat. “This is located inside the Hilton. Great ambiance and very clean. Did not have a hard time sitting and immediately was met by a very nice young man who was our waiter. The drinks were great. My wife had a watermelon drink (forgot the name) and I had a S'more Old Fashion which were really really good. The food was amazing. My only gripe is the portions were a bit smaller for the price. Otherwise, definitely recommend this place!“

“My family ate here Friday night and it was wonderful. We had outstanding service from all the staff, but especially our server Mackenzie. Hands down the best Sushi we have ever eaten and yummy filets cooked to perfection. Our little girl loved her kids quesadillas too. “Ume Sushi is our favorite sushi restaurant, hands down. We recently discovered it and became regular customers ever since. It’s the best sushi in Destin and the surrounding areas. The fish is always incredibly fresh and high quality, and the chef (Kevin) is excellent—everything tastes outstanding.

The prices are very reasonable too, which makes it even better. We love ordering the Sushi for 2 (so yummy) . It’s a great value, especially if you enjoy sashimi and nigiri.

The service is excellent as well. We highly recommend Ume Sushi if you’re looking for excellent, fresh sushi without breaking the wallet.“

“Everything except dessert was phenomenal. The ribeye was stunning - among the best I’ve had in my life. Skip dessert (except coconut cream pie, if you love cream pies). Our table and the table next to us got 4 desserts (and they got it as a birthday treat), but we all thought the desserts were terrible compared to everything else. They even got theirs free because of the birthday but returned it because it was so bad. Our group of 4 came from San Francisco and were so happy with the food here.“
