“I ate here for the first time today. The cheesesteak panini was delicious. If I hadn’t know it was gluten free bread I definitely wouldn’t have guessed. My husband got the Putine and loved it too. I would highly recommend their food even if gf isn’t required for you.“

“This place is incredable! I got their award winning clam chowder - best I've ever had.
The blackened seafood platter is in the same catagory - the scallops were cooked to perfection as were the shrimp and fish.
I brought a quart of the chowder home and picked up two cans (Tony's Clam Chowder) at Publix.
Guess you can tell I was impressed...“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“This was my first time ordering from there. The food was great, but the delivery driver put our food on the steps and stood in the street taking a picture of the order. With the extra delivery and service charges, I would have expected at least a person to hand me my food. There wasn't even the courtesy of knocking on the door.“

“Went in a Friday night over the Arts Festival weekend. They were busy, but staff seated us fairly quickly. We ordered a veggie pizza - it came out huge, hot & delicious. The veggies were very fresh, the crust was not too thick or thin & it had the right amount of cheese. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. We feel like we picked a great place & wish we had more time to go back & choose one of their Italian dishes!“

“This place is one of the best places to eat out in downtown MountDora. Me and my family stopped here to grab some pizza’s, we ended up trying subs, wings, salads, good thing we did because this was the best food ever, jayden was such a nice young man taking are orders because they were so busy he also came back multiple times checking in on us and making sure we were ok. i give this place a 10/10 and definitely recommend you to try.“

“Amazing location, excellent service at bar and patio. Poke is fresh and brick oven pizza just the right size and yummy ingredients. Not heavy at all. Of course wine selection is good and beer is very cold! Sitting outside is gorgeous with Orange umbrellas and just steps from the MT Dora Yacht Club“

“While in town visiting for the weekend, we visited Maggie's attic three times. I believe every weekend they have either beer or wine sip n shops on Saturday evening, and in addition to having an immense selection of beer and wine, they have a small bar where you can get a glass of wine and sit on one of their mini couches or love seats and enjoy great conversation. They are dog friendly too!“

“We visit Pisces Rising several times a year and love their food and drink, happy hour is great. They do need to alter their recipe for the Poke Stack.....it's all fresh, but had a huge top layer of wonton and thick bottom layer of rice, making the whole thing really dry. If they just eliminated those items, it would be much better.“

“My family stopped in today before we caught a flight home today. My aunt and uncle live in Mount Dora and visit there often. My mom and I were visiting from Saint louis Missouri and was our first time there. I really wanted to give a shout out to your waiter that was working this morning around noon!! He was a superstar running around like crazy today. He was taking orders, seating customers, and cashing out customers. There was only one cook and one busser/dishwasher. Apparently 2 people had called in sick and he was so busy he couldn’t even call for someone to come in to help him. The crew this morning definitely deserves a raise. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names. But they all did a great job.“

“I recently visited China 8 in Mount Dora with my sister, and once again, they did not disappoint! The restaurant consistently offers a cozy atmosphere coupled with exceptional customer service that makes you feel genuinely taken care of.

We ordered the shrimp fried rice and special fried rice, which were both cooked to perfection. The honey chicken and fried chicken with honey sauce were delightful treats—sweet, crispy, and just the right amount of goodness. We couldn't resist their egg rolls and spring rolls either, which were the perfect starters to our meal.

Although I found a small rock in my rice, it didn't detract from the overall positive experience. Mistakes happen, and it's nothing that would keep me away.

If you're in the area and craving delicious Chinese cuisine with a side of warm hospitality, China 8 is the place to go. We'll definitely be back for more!“

“We order from here often. It is a small family owned & ran takeout restaurant. The food is good, always hot, large portions, reasonably priced, and ready very quickly. You will always see their 2 kids in the restaurant and the young boy helps out with the cash register never had an issue with him taking my order or cashing me out. For all those who complain I think it teaches responsibility. Love this place“

“This is the worst bar in Mount Dora. If you want to have a bad time. Go here. We showed up to the bar at 10 pm on a Saturday and ordered one drink per person. While my friends went to the bathroom, the bartender walked up to our table and took away our purchased drinks for no reason. The "manager", Mark came up and told me that we weren't welcome anymore. I asked why and he had no answer. I asked why again and he had no answer. Then after multiple times questioning, he said , "your too intoxicated" We were literally sober. The manager then physically intimidated us and forced us to leave. I'll never go to this bar again I live in this town and frequent town regularly. I'll never recommend anyone go to this bar for food or drink. What a top to bottom terrible experience. If you enjoy a good time, skip this bar.“

“I ate breakfast here this morning. The server was prompt and efficient. The food was great and I love the mass greeting of “welcome to Perkins” when I walked through the door. The General Manager was very friendly and attentive. I even actually applied after eating.“
