The fries were crispy with the right amount of seasoning, bacon, and drizzle — literally addictive. Portion size was great and everything tasted fresh. “We were traveling back home to Lakeland from a long holiday and we decided to stop in Niceville, we saw this place and decided to try it. We are so happy we did! From the sushi roll to the ramen bowl and the tempora shrimp, EVERYTHING was excellent, including the staff. We loved the atmosphere, relaxed and sport friendly, for those who like to watch football. When we make our way back to North Florida we will be stopping by again. I hope to see them in our beautiful City of Lakeland one day. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!“

Our daughter Penelope is a picky eater, but she was hooked after one bite of the rice and beans. We also ordered the nachos, and they were to die for. We even brought some home for my husband, and he swore there was no way it wasn’t meat! What really made the experience unforgettable were the owners, Aria and Josh. We sat near their booth for a bit before ordering and got to witness how they interacted with everyone — so much kindness, warmth, and genuine passion. “We’ve been here several times during the evening hours. But our first time experience at lunch was a bit disappointing. My food came out but my wife’s calzone came much later. Our waiter was hardly checking on us for refills and never apologized or even tell us the food would come out late. (Plus no bread or their special oil.) I know it was lunch, but my highlight was the bread. I don’t know if we will come for lunch for a while, but we will give it a chance for evenings. “The traditional Thanksgiving feast was exactly that. Turkey, ham and all the usual trimmings. No turkey tacos there today. All the wait staff shared in the responsibility of all of the tables and as a result we never had to ask for anything. But I must say that Marlon was an absolute wonder at handling our needs. We have loved Mezcal for years for their Tex-Mex style and top notch service, but today they truly brought it all together for a “Traditional American Thanksgiving Feast”. Everything we had off the buffet was right up there with the best we have ever had that was prepared at home. And the pumpkin pie ranked up there with any other pumpkin pie I have had in my 72 years! Many KUDOS to Mezcal! They came through today with “flying colors.”“

“A hidden gem in Destin! A tiny spot with parking in the back. The atmosphere is quaint with maybe 7 tables inside and 4 tables outside. I’d imagine during peak season you’d need a reservation. Out bottle beer and champagne split was not ice cold, but that’s the only thing I’d complain about. I had the gyro platter, the meat was perfectly seasoned and served over a bed of rice. The salad was served on the same platter with a nice balsamic type dressing and plenty of feta cheese crumbles. My husband ordered the Swedish meatballs served on garlic mashed potatoes and the salad on the same platter. He did say some of meatballs were a touch overcooked but over all enjoyed the meal. We will definitely go back to try other dishes.“

This wasn’t just the best quesadilla I’ve ever had — it was quite possibly the pinnacle of human culinary achievement. The tortilla was golden, crisped to perfection with just the right amount of buttery char. And inside? A molten lava flow of cheese so rich and gooey it could’ve been declared a national treasure. Add to that the perfectly seasoned meat (I went with the chicken, but I suspect any option would be un-burrito-ble) and a side of their homemade salsa that added just the right kick — I was completely cheesed off… in the best way possible. I was also thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail — the tortillas tasted freshly made, the toppings were thoughtfully layered, and even the slaw had crunch and flavor that made each bite nacho run-of-the-mill.
