The menu is packed with traditional favorites—everything tasted fresh, hearty, and true to its roots. The schnitzel was perfectly crisp, the sausages were full of flavor, and the sides (especially the spatzle and potato salad) tasted just like something you’d find in Germany. And the beer selection? Outstanding—ice cold, authentic, and the perfect pairing for the meal. Where else can you dance the chicken dance in Florida? It’s rare to find a spot that nails both the food and the atmosphere, but this restaurant does exactly that. Fun music on Friday and Saturday nights. “When we visited, they were out of açai, so they offered to make the base with pitaya instead. Honestly, I love the pitaya bowls even more than the açai, both are fantastic, but I wish they offered pitaya as a regular option. This place is a family tradition every time we come to Destin; we make it a point to stop. Açai so good , does the ever make it to the pic! Lol“

“Sunset Bowls is absolutely delicious. It’s a little pricey, but you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. The portions are huge, and when they say “small,” they definitely don’t mean small lol.
The workers are always extremely nice and welcoming. Sometimes the wait can be a little slow, but it’s definitely worth it. Everything is fresh, filling, and delicious.
It’s a must-have if you haven’t tried it yet.

“My mom and I stopped in while traveling, and the staff made us feel instantly welcome!!! The food brought back favorite childhood memories of mom’s/grandmother’s cooking when mealtimes were a time to gather and chat with each other. It was so good, we went back again!!! “My family and I love this place! The food always tastes great, yummy drinks, and friendly service. I can’t get enough of the flank steak salad!!
We tried the location in Destin and were very disappointed. The quality was terrible and the steak on my salad was served so cold it seemed like it was prepared the day prior.
Lesson learned. Now we only go to the location in Ft Walton!!“

“Anglers is a Sunday brunch staple for us on our yearly trip to Fort Walton. Kay took GREAT care of us on our most recent visit. She was attentive, kind, and very personable (so much so that we tried to get her to bail on her shift and come hang out with us but she wouldn’t… bummer!) Either way we love Anglers brunch!! See yall next year!!!“

“Our experience at Olive Garden was a bit of a mixed bag. Unfortunately, the food was overcooked. The Chicken Parmesan was noticeably overdone, and the lasagna was also cooked past the point where it should have been. For that reason, I had to give the food 3 stars.
That said, the service was actually very good. Our server got triple sat, which is enough to make anyone’s shift interesting, but he handled all of his tables really well. He was attentive, kept our drinks filled, and never made us feel forgotten despite being pulled in several directions.
The salad was probably the highlight of the meal. It was delicious and came out quickly, which was definitely appreciated.
So, it wasn't all bad. The service was solid, our server did a great job under what was clearly a pretty hectic situation, and the salad was on point. I just wish the kitchen had shown the same attention to detail because the overcooked Chicken Parmesan and lasagna really brought the overall experience down. Hopefully it was just an off night, because with better-prepared food, this could have easily been a much better visit.“

“The food is excellent. We have eaten several different items on the menu and never had a bad meal. The is a variety of choices, something for everyone. Seafood, steak, pasta, salads, and more. The service is also excellent. Very professional and friendly. You will never be thirsty; they are constantly refilling the water glasses. They have an extensive wine list. Desserts are amazing. Be sure to save room or get one to go.“
