The warm, Old-Florida feel, bright and cheery decor (those table tops!) and genuinely caring wait staff makes this our go-to Breakfast stop. The food is outstanding and plentiful, no skimping on ingredients here (just check out their omlettes!) On crazy busy mornings you may have to wait a little longer, but NOT the "25 minutes" as posted by another reviewer. The owner - and for that matter, every staff member - goes out of their way to make your meal as delightful as you expected. “Sharky’s (and Fins) was the perfect surprise after a long drive and a Venice Beach sunset. The hostess recommended Fins, and it couldn’t have been better. We started with chilled lobster claws and Oyster Rockefeller — both incredible. My friend, who thought she didn’t like oysters, called them the most delicious thing she’s ever eaten. We shared a petite filet cooked medium rare to perfection, paired with a glass of Pinot Noir that felt magical. The service was seamless, with both servers providing warmth, professionalism, and great energy. Combined with the amazing food, relaxed atmosphere, and a breathtaking view of the sunset over the beach, this experience completely exceeded expectations. I can’t wait to come back.“

“Absolutely the BEST ice cream around. As a family we drive an hour nearly every week to eat Jake's ice cream...YES, it's that good! Incredibly kind owner and staff as well, this place is a must visit if in the Sarasota area (and beyond!) Once you've tasted Jake's ice cream it's hard to ever eat anything else, he's raising the standards for homemade ice cream with every flavor - although we all have our favorites we've never tried one we didn't like!! (My personal favorite is Salty Turtle)“

It’s loaded with a mild dill pickle that adds to the texture of the cuban seasoned meat. This is crack for lovers of Cuban food and who would have thought after visiting the store many times and never noticing until local referred me.“

“I visited this store with my girlfriend because she saw the “key lime pie” sign on 41. We turned around and got it and it was very good (one of the slices was frozen but when it thawed it was good). We also had the key lime truffles and they were WAAY too sweet. However, the key lime pie was so good my girlfriend went back and got some. The first time we went, the girl said she could cut it into 6 or 8 if we bought an entire pie. When my girlfriend requested it to be cut, she said that she wasn’t able to. We’re confused why that was. For a $30 pie, requesting to get it sliced doesn’t seem like a big ask. It was also frozen.“

“Quality of food. Life long member of the owners from Adrian Michigan. I don’t understand when I read comments as for “not authentic Mexican ingredients”. Does the sign not say “Tex-Mex”? In Adrian Michigan we have a large migrant population that prefers other Mexican restaurants over the grasshopper. Huge reason is that the taste buds of visiting Mexicans are used to hot, very hot. As I live here in Mexico I cannot sample any hot sauce because it’s too hot. So I bring my own hot sauce with me when I eat out. I don’t consider the menu as Tex Mex. The family founders brought recipes from Mexico but again, had to tone down the spicy seasoning for the northerners. HOWEVER, if you ask for the extra hot seasoning, they will make you a dishes that will set your mouth on fire upon request. I can’t explain the next topic, but that no one has complained but their menu prices that seem to never increase. As for the cheese dipping sauce? I haven’t been to the Sarasota location. But it’s a wise-tail in Adrian that the cook staff has to sign NDA’s just to know the recipe. Everyone has tried to replicate it but no one has ever gotten it correct. Linda/co-owner has been a lifelong full-time employee that worked every day beside her now ex husband that runs and operates the original Adrian Michigan establishment where his parents created the restaurant. She only hires the best staff and the staff are lifelong dedicated employees. In Adrian, no one visits for the decorations or environment because it’s nothing close to impressive, they visit for the food and service and the staff that brings you refills before knowing that you need one.“

“I have spent 36 of my 49 years in FL. I personally think that Florida is way better than every other state, except for a few "up north foods". Bagels don't ever measure up... UNTIL SATURDAY. We had a birthday brunch, and we bought bagels from Cafe Bagel !Absolutely delicious. Chewy, like up north, but also with that nice "crisp" bite. I'm so excited about finding this place, especially since the prices are great too. I HIGHLY recommend!“

She said she'd be right back for order. 15 minutes later others were seated, and actually served. Our waitress rook the order fir a couple who had just been seated and then took ours. I complained to the hostess who took off our coffees. The waitress apologized for serving the other couple first. She didn't understand that we had waited an additional 20 minutes to PLACE our order. I never complain, I've been wait staff. The wait staff there has always been fabulous until today. She is clueless.“
