“I've been wanting to stop into this store since it opened, finally today I did and it did not disappoint! I needed end of the school year gifts for my daughter's teachers and they had a wide collection of local artisan crafts and local foods, for every price range. what a fabulous store- filled with eclectic, artistic, and local gifts. Will definitely be back to support this amazing and thoughtful store. p.s. they also have a wine/beer bar!“

“Hanging out on the back patio was very cool. The bartender was great (forgot his name) but he took great care of our group (10 of us) and made sure our drinks were full and we were sitting away from the bar. We ordered food and it was awesome. I had mudbugs (crawfish) and smoked fish dip. I will definitely make this place one of my must to stops.“

“On December 10th I ordered a reuban sandwich. The waitress informed me pickles no longer came with the sandwich it was now considerd one of your sides. The reuban came with big chunks of fat and the meat must have been warmed on the grill because they were browned, and the fries were cold. I informed the waitress and a stern looking women came out of the kitchen and asked 'what else was wrong?' and left without another word said. I paid the bill and left. Horrible“

Diane was the enthusiastic voice on the phone when making reservations for six for the Sunday brunch. She was the delightfully welcoming hostess when the party arrived. George, as other reviews have attested, was flawless: engaging, attentive, approaching his tasks as a performing art...terrific! Freddy Lopez, the manager, took great pride in the staff and offerings from the kitchen. He described changes soon to be made. The name will be something like "Marketplace Kitchen and Bar", an unfortunate image of an older shopper with shopping bags full of groceries sitting nursing a beer at the bar. Food was very good, although NOTHING except the salad dressings had labels. Individuals will allergies would need ask or simply avoid any item which was not entirely identifiable. Indeed a hotel pan of Creole fish could not be identified by two members on the line. It was Mr. Lopez who solved the mystery.“

“So the food was really good. But the service was poor. Had the food not been so good they would not be getting 4 stars. They took long to come and wait us and after ordering out food and it arriving they never paid attention to us again. Did not ask if we wanted our drinks refilled or desserts.“

“Cody’s Original Roadhouse in Ocala was just out our hotel’s front door, so we chose it for an early dinner this afternoon. Such a great experience with tasty food served up expertly by our server, Daniel! He was top-notch, working with speed and accuracy, and the sweet potato was absolutely the best I have ever had at a restaurant so hurrah goes to the cook, too! The salmon and salad were excellent, as well as my husband’s steak and potatoes meal was also delish! Great Job all around Cody’s!“
