“Really amazing food and an easy going atmosphere!“

“This was some of the best seafood we had on our trip! Some of our favorites were the popcorn shrimp, fried fish of the day (mahi), seasonal green beans, and the hush puppies! The banana pudding was a great dessert as well. We went around 4pm and only had a 15 min. wait to order food and maybe another 10 min. before it was ready. The indoor seats were filled up so we sat in the nice outdoor patio area with picnic tables and umbrellas. Super friendly employees! Would definitely recommend!“

“The Back Porch did not disappoint one bit. We loved the atmosphere. We were seated out on the back porch right in front of the gulf and had a wonderful breeze blowing the whole time, which was great since we were visiting Florida in August. We got seafood and steak. The steak was amazing and tender. The grouper, crab bites and twice baked potatoes were delicious! We will definitely be back!“

“Loved the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were great! We ordered a couple drinks that were amazing! We ordered a few apps as well. The crab dip was delicious, the calamari did not disappoint, but the shrimp cocktail-cold was very dry. I wound up throwing half my shrimp away. Very disappointed in that. We ordered a key lime pie for dessert, and it was to die for! It was amazing! Overall, would definitely come back.“

“Hell yeah I recommend them. I am here on business with a client and when I travel, like to sample local hole in the wall places. So I come in JCs and they serve their seafood cooked in a bag. They throw all kinda of seafood as well as corn potatoes and sausage. I had a half pound bad each of corn and sausage with egg as and rice and for those of you who know me and know I eat, this more than filled me. Be sure you come in wearing trashy clothes as they also throw various sauces in to the bag and steam and cook it. They give you a bib and wipes and you WILL need them Also, I was waited on by Jaime who gave awesome service. I hadn’t eaten at this type of restaurant before and she won’t make you feel like a goober for asking questions. Very courteous and professional. I am likely to be coming to Mary Esther each spring for several years to come. You can bet your sweet bippy I will be coming back when I do! It sounds like it’s a western panhandle chain but you would do wonders coming to DUUUVALLL!“

“The pool is very nice and the rocks with water flowing down is a good feature. The music is also a good vibe. The rooms are made up well and has everything you need. There was a volleyball tournament while we were at the resort and the easy access to the beach made it easy for my family to watch it.“

“My wife and I had dinner there, Monday evening. She had the shrimp and grits, and I ordered the BBQ ribs. We also ordered fried calamari. Everything was excellent. The ribs came with a side of baked beans, and they were as good as any I’ve ever had. Our server was wonderful…very attentive. She couldn’t have done a better job.“

“We were able to sit outside and it was perfect with a direct view of the gulf and the pier. The waitress was Tiera and she was so nice and took good care of us. I got the baked red fish with seasonal vegetables and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. I only ate half since the serving size was so large. It was seasoned perfectly. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and not too soft or too crunchy. The potatoes were really good and not overly garlicky. My meal was just the way I like it.
My husband got the blackened grouper. It covered half of his plate. He said it was seasoned perfectly. He got the creamy white cheddar bacon mac and cheese. That was amazing and I had to steal a bite off of his plate, which he never allows. It was in a bowl on his plate and was piled to overflowing. The bacon was generous on top and was cooked and crumbled by the chef, not already done. He also had the roasted garlic mashed potatoes. We each had a dessert. My husband had key lime pie. It was locally made and had a fluffy texture than most. Very good flavor but he wanted it more tart. I had the caramel swirl cheesecake. It was very good with a creamy texture.“

“We're visiting from Dallas and HarborWalk Village is such a fun place to hang out for a date night, girls' night, or solo strolling! We're here during the off-season, so it wasn't too crowded. Check the website for events bc several vendors don't open during the off-season on weekdays. I highly recommend a fresh coconut and a pineapple swirl from the Dole Ice cream shop and I def wanna check out the gourmet grilled cheese truck!“

“We had dinner there last night and as always it was so good. I honestly can’t believe that some people drive right by to go to the more touristy places. We live about 75 miles from Ft. “I have been coming to Destin since the early 2000s and always been intimidated to try this place, never knew much about it other than the iconic sign. I can tell you if you are on the fence, you won’t regret it! We were welcomed even at after 8pm by the staff, our server was outstanding, offered many pointers to the menu and great explanation on them. The blackened redfish was one of the best meals I have ever had, the lobster was also incredible. This is a must try place if you frequent Destin.“

“I don’t normally leave reviews lol but our experience made me want to. My mom is visiting and Red Lobster is her favorite restaurant so we came for dinner. We had Mike as our server and he couldn’t have been better! Very kind and attentive. Just really on his stuff, ya know. Our food was also very good! My mom got shrimp and lobster, and I got blackened salmon. We just overall had a really good experience that would encourage us to go here before we went to any other chain sit down restaurant.“
