Restaurantji's Oldsmar guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors.
“Seems like good value. The portions are large. My tacos were packed with meat, toppings and flavor. My burrito bowl was equally as good. What can you say, same toppings, same great flavor. All the toppings and meat were fresh. I had the beef and chicken for tacos and the pork and chicken in my bowl. Really, really good.“
“In the area and noticed that El Paraíso had opened in a prior Mexican restaurant. We decided to give it a try for lunch after church with family. Laid out nice and can't miss the lighted pair of (angel?) wings. The five of us were seated right away. We ordered drinks and Queso Blanco and checked the menu. My wife ordered the Torta Mexicana; eldest daughter the Paraíso Burger; youngest daughter the Lunch Taco special; grandson the Steak Fajitas; granddaughter the Lunch Burrito special with fries; finally I ordered the Taco Salad with ground beef. We enjoyed the hot Tortilla Chips with Queso Blanco and 4 salsa - 1 regular and 3 smaller ones with different hot salsa - nice! Our food came fairly quickly. Tacos were great, Burrito was great and Fajitas were great. Torta was ok, Burger ok (who gets a burger in Mexican restaurant?? Taco Salad was disappointing, refried beans 3x the beef, a bit much. Service great, ambiance great, food good.“
“Stopped in on a Sunday after church to do a little browsing at the Oldsmar Flea Market. My wife, two daughters, granddaughter, niece and I. After a bit of shopping we found this delightful little Mexican food truck. We could tell by the number of people that it must be pretty good.Browsing the menu, as is our practice on weekly family lunch, we ordered a variety of items to share. We selected a Burrito, 3 Shrimp Empanadas, 3 Tostados, 3 Marinated Pork Tacos, a Beef Taco, and a Quesadilla. Actually another customer told me the Tamales were great, but they were already sold out. We all got sodas and one delicious fresh Mango drink and chatted a few minutes until our food came to our table. Our food arrived fresh, hot and delicious. The Empanadas were crisp and overflowing with shrimp and cheese. The Burrito was stuffed and yummy. Quesadilla crisp and hot. My wife loved the Pork Tacos. My favorite by far was the amazing Tostados. Maybe because there were no Tamales. The only negative thing about the whole experience was that the tables, although shaded, were in the afternoon sun, and it was hot! Later we found other tables inside the market where we could have taken our food.Vegetarian options: Most items can be sin carneParking: A lot of parking but very busy weekendsWheelchair accessibility: In center of Oldsmar Flea Market“
“Check your sauce!Food is always good, but sometimes they put the wrong sauce in the wrong canister. I always get mofo insane, and I grabbed a salad to go, pumped some mofo insane into to go cups, get home, poured it all over my salad, and when I go to eat it, it was soooo sweet and no spice at all, NOT the mofo insane at all. I hate sweet and it ruined my salad. I couldn’t eat it.Love T Flats, just check your sauce at this location, the opposite could happen to you where you think it’s sweet and you’re in for a rude awakening with the mofo insane!“
“good Mexican basics.Taco, ? quesadilla, burritos. ? Fast & filling. Good for that quick hunger fix.Vegetarian options: Didn't look at that. “This a total family operated restaurant. Father cooks, mother expedites and sons waite. Food is all prepared fresh from scratch and is authenic! I have tried most dishes and all are very good but I especially enjoy the fish Tacos. Great place and great family.Vegetarian options: not a vegetarian so can't comment“
“5 stars for authenticity and freshness. Our food was delicious, fresh and finally real Mexican flavors. Nothing to look at inside or outside. The location is in a gas station lol but they make up for it in the quality of the food. Attentive service. The margaritas were yummy and 2 for$6 which was surprising. We had birria, chicken tacos and green enchiladas.“
“I'm so blessed that this place is about five minutes from me. I've been looking for a go-to taco place since crossing over Racetrack Road and becoming a Pinellas Resident instead of Hillsborough. I have driven by Juli's multiple times a week every week for a couple of years now and wish I had stopped sooner. My search is over. Thank goodness!!!The place is unassuming, but festive. Hope they bring the produce back at some point. I missed that part of their business. This is a food truck with a good size patio for a fresh air option to enjoy your food there. I did take-out this time. For some variety, I ordered one steak, one chicken, and one marinated pork taco. To round out my experience, I added the esquites (termed something else on the menu). I would love the option to have tried a shrimp or fish taco, but you must buy in orders of three (which I see often at Mexican and Taco places alike) for $11, which is actually a good deal. The pork marinated came recommended and did not disappoint. All three tacos were excellent. They provided plenty of limes and hot sauce, which added a nice heat and additional layer of flavor (I tried them with and without the sauce. I'm a habanero/ scotch bonnet heat level; but for those who do not like spicy, these are flavorful without). The esquites was what I would expect. I prefer elote (the cob over a cup).Normally, I do not buy a drink with dinner or lunch. I drink a lot of water and do not want the sugar, caffeine, or carbonation in most available options. They had Aqua Fresca Tamarindo, and I love any and all things tamarind, so I treated myself (started a new job this week, so why not). This may have been the highlight for me or icing on the cake. Wow, so much tamarind flavor and not overly sweet. Large cup, so I split this and drank half with my meal and the other half the next day (actually smiled to myself when I saw it waiting for me in the fridge). They offer a decent size refrigerator of drink options of choices and had a few aqua fresca choices. I should have checked to see if they have the Mexican Cokes. I do those about once a quarter.Going forward, this is my go-to taco spot. I see why the ratings are so high. Well deserved. If you are near this like jem, do yourself a favor and stop in.Parking: There is plenty of parking. They still have the building/store where they used to sell produce (it's currently locked up, so enter through the patio).“
