“I don’t usually make a lot of reviews but i have to give credit where credit is due. This subway location is not just well placed, it upholds standards with everything such as food and services, even the facilities are kept nice and clean (which is rare in this city). Miss Janiya is the real reason I am writing this review, I have never eaten a subway sub as good or with the attention to detail as she makes it. Overall great location and great experience 10/10“

“I stumbled upon this little shop during a recent trip to Miami located in Upper Buena Vista. Fell in love with the menu, vibed with the music and the owners made me feel like family. I was brought one of the best sandwiches of my life, Parma Luxe. All the ingredients are handmade and delicious.She just brought me the most incredible lemonade to sample!! “Lunch today was at @cuentosandwiches, and it definitely didn't disappoint! 🔥

One thing I always do before a trip is scope out the local food scene, and this place immediately made the list. I'm glad it did.
I ordered El Principito—smoked ham, chorizo cantimpalo, braised pork shank, Swiss, mozzarella, and provolone on pressed Cuban bread.

The bread stole the show. It had an incredible crunch on the outside with just the right amount of chew inside. Pressed perfectly, it held up to all those layers of meat and melty cheese without falling apart. Every bite had savory, porky goodness with that perfect cheese pull tying it all together. I loved the sauce and pickle on the side!

This is the kind of sandwich that reminds me why I love being a foodie. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.

I also had a Tripping Animals Brewing Rasta Stripe Lager. It was so refreshing on a humid Florida afternoon.

“Leaving the Orange Bowl with my buddy who grew up near there and needing a good meal. I walk in with my Mike Evans Bucs Jersey, and they joke around with me about it. We ordered 1 large Philly and 1 large Pastrami sub to split. I can't tell you which one I liked more but they were awesome and the crew inside were like family laughing, joking and knowing local orders as they walked inside. I loved the experience from the moment I walked inside. Good people and good food, what else do you need? It was perfect weather so we were able to eat outside on their patio. I went in and told them how much I liked the subs, they appreciated it and continuing the jokes telling me I need a Phins Jersey lol it was what we needed before driving back to Central Florida. I hardly make it to Miami, I hope to be back, mean it! I wish I had one as I write this post. 5 🌟“

I loved not seeing hookas or loud music. While I love my Dominican culture, sometimes that vibe attracts the wrong kind of people. We tried the cheese balls and OMG these were scrumptious. Pipping hot, crispy and golden on the outside and creamy and cheesy on the inside. Then we tried the original chimi. It's been YEARS since I've had one like this. The bread took me back to my childhood visiting family in DR. The meat is exactly what I remember from og chimi's in DR and the sandwich itself was perfection. So much so that we wanted seconds! I'm looking forward to trying the rest of their offerings and can't wait to come back!“

“Great sandwhiches, came here b/c it was .1 mile from my hotel. Located in the 999 building, go inside person at the front can direct you, but as you walk in go towards the left and it's the 1st door on the right (I almost passed it - has a small little business door plaque) I got the Johlano, good balance of flavors ( salty/savory from the meat, sweet from the fig jam, and peppery fresh bite of arugala. The worker gave me a free pistachio tres leches cake! It's yummy fresh tasting, ok alittle sweet but would pair well with coffee. I wanted to try get a cold sandwich togo but it's only one worker who is working the register and building sandwiches. I waited about 15min for the sandwich and unfortunately had to be somewhere. I plan to come back during my stay here in Miami.“

Then they freshly slice the meats and cheese right in front of you for your sandwich. The taste is amazing. Their original Italian sub is on point. “I went to FireHouse Subs on Hallandale Beach Blvd and Biscayne on Saturday and I was thrilled. The food was good. The owner is the FIRST BLACK FEMALE owner in the franchise and we got to meet her and get to know her a bit. She was so pleasant and welcoming to all of the customers as the entered. The employees got our orders right and we're very accommodating. There's probably a Firehouse closer to me, but I'll be going to this one first!! Congratulations Ms. Tonika on your new establishment. “Had lunch at McAlister Deli. Had the Ham and Cheese, HUSBAND AT THE French Dip with anjoui. The both were good. Although they could have been a little more generous with the cheese. They do give generous meat portions. Staff were actually friendly, helpful, and courteous. The tea was not too sweet and refillable. The restaurant itself was not a freezer which was a welcome change from most eateries We visit. This was definitely worth a return visit.“

“I stopped by the Jersey Mike's on Miramar Parkway the other day and grabbed three classics: the Tuna Fish (#10), Mike's Famous Philly Cheese Steak (#17), and the Club Supreme(#9). Overall, it was a really good meal—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying in that authentic sub shop way. The staff was friendly and quick, even during a busy evening rush, and everything was sliced fresh right in front of me, which is always a plus.
The Tuna Fish was creamy and well-seasoned with just the right amount of mayo— not too fishy or overpowering. I got it Mike's Way with the onions, lettuce, tomatoes, oil, vinegar, and spices, and it hit the spot nicely. Solid choice if you're in the mood for something lighter but still hearty.
The Mike's Famous Philly Cheese Steak was the standout for me. The steak was thinly sliced and tender, the cheese melted perfectly, and the peppers and onions added great flavor without being overwhelming. It had that classic East Coast vibe—juicy, cheesy, and super tasty. One of the better phillys I've had at a chain.
The Club Supreme was good too—generous portions of turkey, ham, bacon, and provolone, with fresh toppings. The bacon was crispy, which is always a win, but it felt a tiny bit heavy on the mayo/oil blend this time, making it a little messier than usual. Still delicious, just not as balanced as I've had it elsewhere.
The bread was fresh and soft with a nice chew, and the portions were generous for the price. The place was clean, and service was solid—no complaints there. Only minor ding is that the subs were a touch on the oily side across the board (maybe extra dressing?), which knocked it down half a star for me.
Would definitely go back—great spot for quick, quality subs in the Miramar area. 4 stars—very good, just shy of exceptional. Recommended“
