“Love the place”

“When I heard about this “secret wine spot” tucked away in an Orange City plaza only 5 minutes from my house, I was shocked. How could I have missed it?! Well let me just say, I am IMPRESSED!

I have visited a lot of wine bars and vineyards in the country and beyond, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with how attentive, knowledgeable, and down to earth the owner, Love Lawrence, was from the moment we walked in.

We used a wine tasting for two Groupon that featured 4 decent sized pours (a mix of red and white, but I requested all red) and it didn’t disappoint. She listened to our taste preferences and adjusted the next pour for us *individually*, which I didn’t expect, but certainly appreciated! The choices were excellent and we left with two bottles (most are moderately priced between $20-40) and plan to come back for many more.

Love features a couple of well-known brands, but appears to source from more exclusive vineyards for those unique, bold flavors that you’re not going to find at your local grocery store. The medium charcuterie is good for two if you’re not particularly hungry but still want to experiment with the pairing flavors.

What I loved most was the quiet, sophisticated, yet laid back energy of Love’s space. There’s a variety of seating options in the event that you come with a group or come alone and grab a smaller table or spot on the couch. Come in your work clothes, come in your tshirt, come in whatever. Either way, you can count on a fantastic experience. Don’t wait!”

“So I had a taste for some Pho. Found this place on yelp. Looked good, ordered takeout since it was close to closings time. Egg rolls (pork), on point they were well cooked and crispy, with great flavor. Porky Bao, these were absolutely delicious! Pork was succulent and full of great flavor. I’d make a couple of orders of these as an entree. Chicken Pho, oh this hit the spot. Just what I was wanting. Flavorful and more than I expected since this was a “to go” order. It was packed separately pho broth was in a separate container from the pho chicken, noodles and toppings. So much was included, limes, sauces, chopsticks and even the spoon! Thai tea, was great too! A definite recommendation and winner in my book! My pics won’t upload for some reason, so check em out in the comments.”

“I am a power chair user with a large standard poodle service dog and our server Jade was so polite, asked me which table would work best, and even scooted out both chairs on the side so that I could scoot in easily and comfortably with plenty of room for my service dog. She ignored my dog which was such a welcome change from the baby talk, distracting the dog, and talking to my dog instead of me, which is a demeaning experience I’m quite used to. Going from a manual wheelchair to a power chair has made restaurants a bit of a challenge for me as some are not as accessible as they think they are. This has been such a pleasant and stress-free experience which is honestly a rarity when it comes to dining and my disability. 🥹🥰”

“I love the vibe of the restaurant with the hand painted murals floor the ceiling !!! The shrimp and grits is absolutely the Best !!!Ive tried it all over in other restaurants and they don’t come close to FOTB !!! The food is authentic family and traditional recipes from NOLA . The Bourbon Bread Pudding is delicious and the portion huge . I love everything that I’ve tried there and it’s all perfectly made with love and care 👍💗”

“My husband and I intended to do the 1/2 price appetizers. Online stated 9, but it was actually 10. We arrived at 9:30 and I was not waiting around lol. Thankfully they had their two for $25 special where you could each get a salad or share one appetizer and you each get an entree. The last time we were there we got the three appetizers special and the mozzarella sticks were pretty good. So this time we got the mozzarella sticks as the appetizer to share, I got the grilled cheese burger with tomato soup and fries and my husband got the chicken fettuccine with a breadstick and a bogo beer deal. Service was quick, the food was good, and we were out of there for under 30+ dollars not including tip. Nice date night dining.”

“HUGE portions! Very delicious Cuban sandwiches! Shop is run by a real grandma and food tastes homemade! We stop by in the way to the airport otherwise we would have packed half of the menu takeout . Will be back when next time in Florida !”

“I've been in FL for several months and have been hungry for a Detroit style coney hot dog. I've had 5 Guys (yechh . . . and $7 for just a dog), Sam's Club (very good and a bargain) but they're not a Detroit coney. I found ref to B's (located at Lowes Orange City) and tried it today . . . EXCELLENT! I complemented the vendor while leaving a tip saying they were very close to Detroit's except lacked the snap in each bite. (Detroit's use casing weiners) He immediately whipped me up another dog using Sabrett brand Weiner with casing at no charge. It was spot on. I'll be back. Oh yeah, the prices are right too.”

“We went to the restaurant on September 4, 2024, along with family which consisted of five adults and one small child. As you see the meal and all was great. We paid with three separate checks. What I didn't know after giving the chief and waiter a 20% tip each, was they had charged me 18% on my bill for an additional tip. This is a deceptive practice to us and we will not use Fujiyama Palace for any future meals and will not recommend them to anyone. If this had been disclosed prior we might have a different attitude, but it wasn't.”

“I went here last night for NYE with my two kids, they love the food here. Our waitress was Velissa/ Valissa and she was so sweet, attentive, and fast service. Atmosphere was great last night!”

“Had breakfast this morning. Ordered Corn Beef Hash, scrambled eggs and grits. The Hash was great. The eggs were cold and the grits were the consistency of soup. My breakfast was brought to me by one of the cooks in the kitchen. The same server replaced the grits with hash browns. Have eaten there several times but today seemed like total chaos which I never experienced before. Regardless of these events this morning I will be back to eat there again.”

My 74 year old grandma was absolutely in love with those onion rings and then the day we went in there to get some and the waitress told us they were discontinued she actually got so upset and cried over them. “Today, I was driving through the beautiful city of Orange city Florida. I passed a sign that said the original Philly cheesesteak at Laspada. As a native of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, I thought there is no way this could be true. How could the original Philly cheesesteak be here in Orange city? After having this cheesecake, my life has been changed. This sandwich was the most succulent delicious cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life. Move over scumbags of Philadelphia, who throw batteries at Santa Claus the real Philly cheesesteak is here in Orange city! I cannot wait to try the other three locations in the area! I never have to go back to that city of Philadelphia ever again to get a delicious cheesesteak”
