“We were having a special celebration, my husband and I had our first date 22nd years ago at this Bahama Breeze. It was also my birthday. From the moment we walked in and confirmed our reservation, the hosts were all smiles and polite. Our server, Tiffany, found the perfect balance of attentiveness, menu knowledge, and professionalism. Our lunch was delicious, and the dessert for our special occasion was a sweet gift. On the way to the Ladies' Room, which the MOD, Shantel, escorted me to, I told her about our special occasion to give a shout-out to our server, and she wrapped up and presented us with two lovely Bahama Breeze wine glasses. We are so touched! Today, my husband is finishing his leftovers, and said it is *THE BEST* Cuban sandwich he's ever had in FL. That is a bonus to the perfect experience. Thank you all, it was so special for us.“

“I recommend this hotel but not Amatista’s Cookhouse. My family was very disappointed. We ordered a whole rotisserie chicken that cost $50. We expected the chicken to feed three people. We were shocked to see the size of the chicken that was brought to our table as it was extremely small. Not only was the chicken tough to break apart to put on our plates, but it was also hollow in the middle, lacking meat. This restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for charging $50 for what they call a whole rotisserie chicken when it didn’t appear to even be half of a rotisserie chicken. Also, we never received bread and butter at all, during our dining experience, which I believe was included with our meals. To say we are disappointed is an understatement however, we will never be dining at this restaurant again.“

The combination of the sweet and spicy glazed shrimp with the crunchy onions, bell peppers, and shaved cabbage over a bed of stir-fried lomein noodles was out of this world. The hot pepper sauce was perfectly spicy and flavorful! It really added a nice touch to the already perfected dish. I also loved pairing it with the banana soda which the lovely lady who took my order kindly suggested I try. The talented and kind cook also came to check on how the food was tasting and I swear I could've kissed her due to how exceptional everything was. It was truly an experience. Come hungry and plan to try different menu items because I'm confident that everything on the menu would be worth trying! I definitely plan to return as long as I can! “The food at this restaurant is on point! We wanted the feeling of a Caribbean Home cooked meal for Thanksgiving and they nailed it! The Salmon was light and fluffy, the stew chicken and jerk turkey were succulent, and of course the rice and peas, macaroni and potato stuffing all tasted like they came straight out of grandma’s kitchen!!!! “I've been visiting Freddy's kitchen for 6 months once or twice a week. The food there is excellence. The Brown stew, chicken oxtails, curry chicken, the made to order, even the patties. This is one of my favorite spots, small Jamaican. Good food restaurants. I've tried many others in Orlando. This is one of the best ones I found. The service is top-notch place is always cleaned. I recommend this Jamaican restaurant to anyone originally from New York. So I know jamaican food from queens, just like home.“
