“Hadn't been at this location in quite some time (years). I was never thrilled with the crowds, loud music and so on. But today, Father's Day, I was treated there by my daughter and what a pleasant surprise. A total 180 degree change. Service (Adam) our server, fantastic. Food was excellent. From apatizer to main course, and left with a to go bag. Yes crowded, but pleasantly crowded. You could carry on a conversation. Atmosphere, tropical with some island music. It was good. Hope it stays like this. I'll be back.“

“I recommend this hotel but not Amatista’s Cookhouse. My family was very disappointed. We ordered a whole rotisserie chicken that cost $50. We expected the chicken to feed three people. We were shocked to see the size of the chicken that was brought to our table as it was extremely small. Not only was the chicken tough to break apart to put on our plates, but it was also hollow in the middle, lacking meat. This restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for charging $50 for what they call a whole rotisserie chicken when it didn’t appear to even be half of a rotisserie chicken. Also, we never received bread and butter at all, during our dining experience, which I believe was included with our meals. To say we are disappointed is an understatement however, we will never be dining at this restaurant again.“

“The food at this restaurant is on point! We wanted the feeling of a Caribbean Home cooked meal for Thanksgiving and they nailed it! The Salmon was light and fluffy, the stew chicken and jerk turkey were succulent, and of course the rice and peas, macaroni and potato stuffing all tasted like they came straight out of grandma’s kitchen!!!! “Alvin’s is definitely my #1 spot in Orlando for Caribbean food. We’ve been going here for a very long time and now that I’ve moved out about an hour away from Orlando, anytime we are in Orlando, it’s a must to stop by and get food from here. My favorite is the Chinese fried rice with the pork and chicken and don’t get me started on the garlic sauce. That sauce makes everything 10x better!! “I've been visiting Freddy's kitchen for 6 months once or twice a week. The food there is excellence. The Brown stew, chicken oxtails, curry chicken, the made to order, even the patties. This is one of my favorite spots, small Jamaican. Good food restaurants. I've tried many others in Orlando. This is one of the best ones I found. The service is top-notch place is always cleaned. “I can’t say enough about this incredible restaurant! Part of our family is Plant-based/Vegan and all of us have multiple food allergies.
There were many options for us on the menu and the chef and waitstaff staff took significant time with us making sure everything was safe for us to eat that we had ordered. In addition, the chef custom-made two items because my son was not able to have it with soy oil as they use in the restaurant.
Dillion, Antione, Matthews and Ard Were the fantastic staff that took such wonderful care of us! This is the second time we’ve been to the restaurant-We visited three years ago at our last trip to Orlando. We had a wonderful service then as well and will continue to have it on our list of must eat restaurants whenever we come near. They also had live music, which was wonderful.“
