“Been in this area since 2003, been going to the blue for years. Today was absolutely amazing. Thank you to our server Italia she went above and beyond expectations. We finished our lunch in the main dining room went out to the poolside and she continue to take care of our party like I said I’ve been going there for years. Today was exceptional. It’s my 50th birthday and no one took the time to celebrate this milestone with me. So I came out to dine alone. I got there 5 minutes after last call for all you can eat crab was called. But I asked him to see if it would be ok with a manager since my friends bailed on me. I wouldn’t be chatting. Just crabbing. Lolol. He got the all clear. And kept me stocked. All the staff would walk by and wish me a happy birthday. And Smiley chatted with me throughout my meal so I didn’t feel so alone. And on top of everything else. They also blessed with with a ginormous piece of chocolate cake. And here I was thinking. I wasn’t going to get cake for my birthday. Let me just say... if you’re staying at the Hilton Clearwater Beach and don’t stop into Carambola, you’re doing your entire vacation wrong. Seriously. Reevaluate your choices.

We rolled in hungry, mildly sunburned, and honestly questioning if we even liked each other after a long day at the beach. But within five minutes of sitting down, all our problems melted away like butter on a pancake (which they do have, by the way.. delicious ones).

Our waitress Taylor was an absolute gem. She had the energy of a triple-shot espresso and the charm of someone who’s clearly too good for this planet. Not only was she handling our table like a pro, but she was also training a new employee, Cynthia, who was also fantastic. Together they were like a buddy-cop movie, but instead of fighting crime, they were fighting off our hunger and thirst with relentless kindness and amazing recommendations.

Taylor was so on point, I honestly started wondering if she secretly owned the place. And Cynthia? If that was “in training,” then I can’t wait to come back when she’s fully powered up. She was sweet and very attentive.

The food? Slapped. Everything came out hot, fresh, and plated like it was about to walk onto the Food Network stage.

Long story short:

🍽️ Food: 10/10 would eat until I can’t move.
👩‍🍳 Service: Taylor and Cynthia are national treasures.
🎉 Vibe: Chill, breezy, with a side of “I’m never leaving.”

“My Memphis born husband stopped smoking pork and beef when we discovered Eli's. Whenever family visits, getting Eli's BBQ is a MUST. WE have enjoyed their pork, beef, beans,, coleslaw and sauce for many gatherings. Most recently we hosted a very large party. All the food was so good, people wanted to know where we got it! Ronni and the staff are good, caring people. The value ion the food, the service and the warmth of the owners and staff make it a "gotta come back again often" place. At this time there is road work being done in front, that makes it a bit difficult to get to, but it is worth the effort. It's right on the Dunedin Trail, so you can go by bike, or walk a bit further than you are used to on Douglas..“

“We walked in for dinner before the Alison Krauss concert yesterday and had a blast. The food was on point and they were packed but still able to run everything. We sat in the middle room, on the high top, next to the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this place. Also, to the lady managing food leaving the kitchen, which made everything work, we had to resist screaming we have jazz hands every time you yelled "I need hands" LOL... Most importantly, there were four of us and we had an appetizer before our entrees. Everyone had a different dish and they were all excellent.“

“Anyone who’s ever been to johnnys knows they are the hottest spot for wings, burgers, flatbreads, and decently priced drinks! They are ypur game day location to watch any Ball game you want . They are also very accommodating to big parties.

“Hats off to the friendly staff! We were Florida July Sunshine hot after 1.5 hours at Tampa Bay Downs Golf Range and were looking forward to a cool TBBC brew and some ice water. Ginger was our server, awesome, she was perfect. We will be requesting her tables any time we return. She was kindly patient with us as we got our act together, ordered the ESPE Blonde and my better half greatly enjoyed the “The Last Days of Summer” sour. The food was surprisingly fantastic! They also have wood fire pizzas, which we will returning to try. Highly recommend!“
