“Went there for the Cuban sandwich. I was not disappointed. It was very big, full of meat, and I can honestly say one of the best sandwiches I have had. Our friend had the chicken quesadilla and it was also just packed with meat. This will be a destination drive for me in the future.“

“What a fantastic experience at Tarpon Turtle! My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful evening — the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was attentive and friendly, and the food was outstanding.
The highlight of the night was hands down the blackened Grouper sandwich. We both ordered it and agreed it was the best either of us has ever had — perfectly seasoned, beautifully cooked, and incredibly fresh. You can really taste the quality.

“I was here with a friend about a month ago and then again tonight with two of my friends and everything has been wonderful. Service food all top notch. if you try the French dip you will never try another French dip anywhere ever again. “A favorite place! My husband and I have been going here for over 20 years! Now that the original and best Chef Roger is back after an absence for a few years, it is even more fantastic and every single dish is full of quality and flavor! It was not the same when he was away. I recommend you go and enjoy Roger's amazing menu. The servers are all too notch, especially Woody, Jason, and Brittany! You can watch people on the trail and parking is free! You will enjoy your visit! Roger is the best Chef in all of Tampa Bay! Thank you Roger for coming back!“

“Hats off to the friendly staff! We were Florida July Sunshine hot after 1.5 hours at Tampa Bay Downs Golf Range and were looking forward to a cool TBBC brew and some ice water. Ginger was our server, awesome, she was perfect. We will be requesting her tables any time we return. She was kindly patient with us as we got our act together, ordered the ESPE Blonde and my better half greatly enjoyed the “The Last Days of Summer” sour. The food was surprisingly fantastic! They also have wood fire pizzas, which we will returning to try. Highly recommend!“

“This was a great little quiet place the bar and the restaurant area are separate but I do admittedly have to say the food was very good I was somewhat surprised at the Quality and service was outstanding so I do have to say they are four stars in my opinion and worth a good stop in if you are driving by or staying at the hotel itself.😊

“Great local spot! Upper end gastropub American style! The menu does rotate occasionally so make sure to visit and then come back to try the new specials! We started with the fried buffalo cauliflower; it was perfectly breaded and hearty with large well cooked chunks of cauliflower! The grouper was perfectly seared, leaving it meaty, juicy and light! The curry ragu was tasty, the pasta was a bit overdone to my tastes, but the curry flavor was nice, this could benefit from a bit of salt! The kitchen was super accommodating with the temperature requests for the salmon! They sent it out perfectly cooked! Will definitely return to try some new options next time we are in town! Great wine selection with well priced bottles, would love to try one next time I’m in town!“

It’s my 50th birthday and no one took the time to celebrate this milestone with me. So I came out to dine alone. I got there 5 minutes after last call for all you can eat crab was called. But I asked him to see if it would be ok with a manager since my friends bailed on me. I wouldn’t be chatting. Just crabbing. Lolol. He got the all clear. And kept me stocked. All the staff would walk by and wish me a happy birthday. And Smiley chatted with me throughout my meal so I didn’t feel so alone. And on top of everything else. They also blessed with with a ginormous piece of chocolate cake. And here I was thinking. I wasn’t going to get cake for my birthday. Thank you Thirsty Marlin for helping this midcenturian celebrate having made it to the top of the hill. And again. Thank you Smiley for bringing a smile to my face when there was none. “Delicious burgers, sides and specialty drinks during Happy Hour at the HEW bar. The goat cheese panna cotta for dessert was sublime. Bonnie at the front desk then gave our group a tour of the hotel amenities and shared the history of the property. We finished our evening at the rooftop Hifi Bar at sunset. it was a lovely start to our annual Mother's Day Weekend Celebration and we will definitely be back for Frose and Croquet.“
