When I told my dad that my friend and I were vacationing to Panama City, he told me we had to stop by Mike's for dinner. We are glad we did! I don't like seafood but love hushpuppies, so I enjoyed the grilled chicken with roasted red potatoes and hush puppies. My friend had the Royal Red. It was all delicious and just what we needed after a long day at the beach. We even met the owner, Mike, and he was great too. Highly recommend!
We always enjoy going to Mikes Cafe….great food, great service and great music during our meal!

A great dining experience for beach oyster house lovers. Although the restaurant isn’t much to look at and isn’t located on the beach, the food and friendly service make it a very worthy stop. The menu includes peel and eat shrimp, a Cajun fish and grits dish, and a fried basket, all fresh and expertly prepared. Portions are ample, and the value is outstanding, with well-seasoned fries fried to crisp perfection, and sauces and salad dressings that surpass others in quality. Beer, wine, and cocktails are also good and affordable compared to competitors. Many visitors appreciate the down-home, “old Florida” charm of this family-owned restaurant. It is a great find away from the tourist traps, with a friendly atmosphere and consistent quality.
