CJP Reviews
FIVE STARS! This was our first time dining at Captain Joey Patti’s but it will not be our last! The boiled shrimp, cole slaw, hush puppies and key lime pie were all amazing!
Great gumbo and fresh fish. Never disappointed by the food. Casual dining.
Always a good experience here
CJP is a beloved local restaurant known for its great seafood dishes and friendly atmosphere. Located about four minutes west of downtown Pensacola, it has been a popular spot since 1989, offering a variety of meals from sandwiches to large dinner platters. The seafood is fresh, often walking straight from the docks at Joe Patti's Seafood across the street, ensuring high quality and flavor. Customers praise the seafood gumbo as the best they've ever had and enjoy the lightly seasoned, breaded seafood that highlights the natural taste. The combination platter is notably massive, featuring Swai filets, Gulf shrimp, hush puppies, and sides, providing enough for leftovers. Service is attentive, with staff described as super nice and witty, especially when served by Sandra. Prices are fair, often cheaper than other area options, and the food is prepared quickly despite busy crowds. The restaurant also offers excellent atmosphere and is highly recommended by locals. Although now closed after 36 years, CJP left a lasting impression as a favorite spot for great seafood, friendly service, and a welcoming environment. It was a place where many enjoyed a delicious meal, making it a cherished part of the Pensacola dining scene.
