“Stopped in for a light dinner last night and was so pleasantly surprised! I started with a cup of shrimp bisque, which was packed with flavor. Then some polenta and shrimp, beautifully presented and even better tasting. I paired everything with a glass of Chardonnay, which rounded out the meal wonderfully. “Went in Monday around 3pm and needed take out very quickly. Owner was very happy to oblige. I got a greek salad and can honestly say it is the best I have had. My husband got the gyro and fries; gyro was packed with meat and fillings and fries were fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. Would recommend this place anytime for sit down or carry out.“

I called Seminole Cava a couple of weeks ago because my best friend wanted it catered for her baby shower however, the closest catering location was 30 minutes away with Seminole only being 6 minutes away. Thank God TJ is the one who took my call because he made it happen for us. I explained it would only be about 12-15 of us and that the mom-to-be had been surviving off of Cava, specifically the sour cream and onion pita, during her pregnancy. TJ picked up all of the catering supplies and had everything ready to go the morning of the shower. He even threw in a bag of the sour cream and onion seasoning for her - such a thoughtful (and hilarious) surprise. TJ truly and co truly went above and beyond for us and we’ll never forget it.“

“Tonight was my first visit to Allelo on Beach Drive in St. Pete. We didn’t have a reservation but were lucky to get seats at the bar around 7 p.m. They mentioned they were fully booked, though we did notice a few tables open both when we arrived and when we left. Still, we ended up having a great time at the bar! The female bartender was pretty friendly and attentive, and the bar back (a male) was busy helping with table and silverware setup ~ both were good. We ordered the Baby Gem Salad, Mussels in a delicious tomato sauce, and the Cocktail Shrimp, which were all fantastic. The cocktails were unique and interestingly crafted. The espresso martini had an interesting twist ~ a subtle touch of amaro that gave it depth. The lemon drop martini was made with their house lemonade, which gave it a refreshing and slightly unexpected flavor. My friend ordered the Aperol Spritz and really enjoyed it too. It was a bit loud inside, so next time I’ll definitely ask to sit outside, especially in this beautiful weather. The restaurant has a charming patio right on Beach Drive, a cozy bar area, and another smaller dining room to the right as you walk in. The space is beautifully decorated, with a hand-painted mural of birds by a local artist. They even provided a list so guests can learn about each bird featured on the wall ~ a thoughtful touch! I’m surprised it took me this long to visit, especially since I consider myself quite the foodie. Allelo has been open for 5 years, and after tonight, I can definitely say I’ll be back soon!“
