“Let me preface this by saying it takes alot to get me to leave a review. We just left Acropolis in Ybor after having not been in probably a year or so. Reason for that was because the service had become just 'meh'. Only the minimum and the servers in past years seemed bothered to be there. We live in South Tampa so if your familiar you know most places close on Mondays (today) and we were craving Greek so we headed over for another shot.We were seated immediately even with the restaurant being 3/4 full and we were lucky enough to get J.J. as our server. He was friendly, prompt, attentive and didn't skip a beat with our order. We watched him and two other servers (one of which I later met as the manager, Greg) not slow down the whole time we were there. It's the most on point I have seen 3 servers be able to service a restaurant and no customer was left wanting. We eat out quite a bit so to say that a quick stop in for lunch was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've had in a long time is saying something. We'll be back & soon. Great crew.-Tampa Native“
“On my last day in Tampa, I passed by and decided to grab some lunch here. Stratos & Leo were working and were both soooo wonderful! So kind, sweet, 10/10 service + attitude from them both! The place was clean + lively, the food was SO delicious, everything was great! Will definitely stop back in when i find myself back in Tampa ?“
“tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. smelled amazing as you entered. we were warmly greeted by the owner...amazing vegetarian and vegan choices. Food was fresh and very good. we tried the mezze Platter, lentil soup, and falafel. Everything was really yummy. can't wait to go back and try the other 6 hummus flavors! Definitely give it a try.“
“Loved this place. 100% coming back. It’s a buffet but everything is fresh and cooked continuously in small portions. So good and flavorful. We met the owner — she was so nice and showed us around every dish and option. Also 5 chutneys and my favorite! Chicken 65. So so so good.“
“I already want to come back and I'm still eating. Lol. The food is so good! It's super homey and well seasoned. I had the beef with cheese pide...soooo cheesy and warm with crusty bread, the lacmakun which is super thin flat bread, and chicken kebab. We ate every single morsel.“
“Outstanding!! We had a party of 7 and they were on the fly able to accommodate. We appreciate this ethnic, original, and authentic family owned place of business! Extremely cozy chairs. Martin the owner was very personable! Thank you Tazza!!??“
“Food was amazing. Best Mediterranean food in this area. I drove by it a 100 times and finally stop there tonight. Wish I ate here earlier because I've pretty much had given up on good Mediterranean food in Tampa. Will be dining here again, soon.“
“I was starving so my photo does not do justice to the food. Portions are very generous. Big thumbs up to the chicken schwarma and Greek fries. Carnitas was only OK. The pork was well done, but the flavors were sort of one dimensional. Still worth a return visit!“
“The service at Istanbul Mediterranean Grill is impeccable, with the owner and his staff - who are passionate about sharing their culture and cuisine with every guest. Whether you're a seasoned food enthusiast or new to Turkish cuisine, they're eager to guide you through the menu and ensure a memorable dining experience. One standout dish is the mixed grill platter, featuring a tantalizing selection of meats grilled to perfection and served with rice pilaf and grilled vegetables. The tender lamb chops, succulent chicken skewers, and flavorful beef kebabs are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate.Must try: Mixed platter, Sheesh kebab, hummus, Turkish tea, Kunafa.“
“An esthetically beautiful place with stylish interior, good quality service, an acceptable, but not outstanding food. First disappointment was when I was greeted by one of hostesses who did not smile or made me feel welcome. She also provided lunch menus instead of brunch menus as it seemed that doing her job was a bother to her. Luckily, our server, Frankie, was great, and he made sure we got the attention we needed. He described Predalina as a Seafood-Driven Mediterranean Cuisine restaurant, explained in details various menu items, and made some food recommendations. However, when one of my friends received her Crab Benedict, lump crab patty was extremely dry / overcooked and poached eggs that are usually the star of any eggs Benedict, to our great disappointment, looked more like hard-boiled eggs. Manager stopped by the table to take the benedict back to substitute for an omelet. Myself and my other friend ordered an omelet each also, I just added avocado to mine. I'd give this omelet 4.5 stars. It came with a side salad + roasted tomato, spinach, onion, feta, chive inside the omelet, crispy potato, and a toasted sourdough on a side - which was so delish! My hazelnut latte was 3/5 only because hazelnut syrup tasted artificially, but both of my friends really enjoyed their decaf latte as well as lavender chai latte. One more thing I would like to mention is that it was very cold inside. *Parking: you can park at $4 per hour at E. Cumberland Avenue parking garage with plenty of space available or use a valet for $30+. I look forward to trying this place for dinner. Hoping for a 5-star experience next time.“
“The food is delicious here! Great pricing and a huge variety on the menu. They’re always happy to help with suggestions too, if you’re not sure. I get the meat and rice bowl regularly, and it’s always very fresh. I love the food and the service here!“
“Enjoyed some delicious vegetarian friendly takeout- will even bring out to your car. Atmosphere inside was pleasant and staff were very friendly. Nice music. Falafel had a unique flavor- really enjoyed.Vegetarian options: Many sides, platter, falafel“
“We enjoyed the entire experience. Our server was outstanding and the food is amazing. We had drinks and appetizers with music playing it made our meal experience fun. The chicken shawarma which our server recommended was out of this world with garlic spread. We will be back when in town again.“
“Spent some time in Greece and since we got back, we've always been on a hunt for a Greek spot that feels similar to what we were eating over there. We jumped around multiple islands and weren't limited to touristy spots, so got a good feel of authentic Greek cuisine. Acropolis truly exceeded our expectations and wound up being honestly the closest thing we've had since our trip. Absolutely deserves 5 stars.“
“We tried the lamb and chicken kabob meals....so much food. And everything was so good. The lady working the counter (didn't get her name-sorry) was very friendly and helpful. We ended up ordering too much food and took a lot home + sweet treats for later. Overall great food and service. Would definitely return!“
“Sam is the best! Every time I come in he takes care of me and cooks whatever I'm on the mood for. I just moved to Tampa a few weeks ago from Kansas City and he's helped make me feel right at home. And don't forget to ask for the Turkish hot sauce if you like it extra spicy ;-)“
“An explosion of great flavors in every bite. Fresh and delicious food, with very pleasant and quick service. Generous portions, and lots of options on the menu. The atmosphere is decidedly casual, and well traveled, but you're there for three food, and it's definitely worth a trip! I had a traditional Gyro, and it came with a mound of meat, tasty sauce, and fresh veggies on a puffy pita. My wife had Shawarma, which also had fantastic flavors and was a huge serving of food. Definitely recommended!“
“Everything was perfect! The food, the service, the location! Vela has every detail down to the volume of the music and their wine selection down to a fine T! What can I say but exceptional! Thank you so much to Ashley our server, she was phenomenal and paced our dinner perfectly, while managing a full bar of guests. Kudos to her for making one of the best tasting Espresso Martinis in Tampa! Food has Rocca shook and drinks have Luv Child BEAT. For an added bonus come on hospitality night. To the owner … you ate this up! Bravo’“
“Think of it as a Mediterranean/ Greek influenced Chipotle. I would say the quality (and taste) is a notch above but the price is comparable. We have been to this location numerous times now and it's always Beena consistently good. My favorite is the harissa sweet and spicy chicken! I would also like to mention the team that works here is great and always a pleasure to deal with.“
“Tonight I ordered dinner from Four Brothers Eatery. AMAZING FOOD.The mix of spices they use is so sweet and tangy and flavorful. My family each ordered something different and none of us were disappointed. The portions, flavor, temperature were over the top. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Yummy!!! Definitely will be ordering from them again“
“DIED AND ARRIVED AT PARADISE!My simple favorites all made fresh, in-store by chef - fantastic homemade flavors: humus, babaganoush, kibbeh, felafel. You haven’t really eaten this food until you have it fresh and homemade - and they are nailing it!Only item on appetizer assortment plate not made in-house was stuffed grape leaves, and they were still very good. The homemade lentil soup was absolutely spectacular - rich, thick, flavoring and spicing wonderful, fresh flavor was stunningly good.Oddly enough, I went to other Petra location downtown and it was so-so and wouldn’t go back - not the same chef as here.“
“Went out for an anniversary dinner, the wait staff were amazing as well as the food. Wish I could afford to eat here once a week.Parking: There was an event that night at the arena so parking was limited, Lilac was kind enough to send out emails regarding this so we would be prepared for it which I thought was very nice. We parked in a garage a short walk away.Kid-friendliness: Not for kids, adults only.“
“It was such an amazing experience that we decided to visit again during our trip to Tampa. Food was amazing, service was AAA and last but not the least host were amazing. They welcomed us on the iftar buffet ( which was one of the best I have ever enjoyed) and treated us as their family and friends rather than the customers.HIGHLY RECOMMEND to any one looking for amazing Mediterranean food in Tampa.“
“The food at Al Sham Palace is almost as good as home cooked Mediterranean food, the grape leaves, the falafel , the kofta and the shawerma ( beef ) and chicken were to die for, The Tabouleh was the best as well. This unpretentious little place is so good, loads of take out and load song people in and out, The server was wonderful and the lady in the kitchen is great as well. kunafa and baklava are excellent …..“
“Our dining experience was delightful! I had the Beets & Arugula salad with blackened salmon. It was fresh, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. My husband had a big bowl of very creamy and delicious chicken rigatoni. The service was absolutely wonderful and the manager even sent us over a free dessert. It was so good that we forgot to take pictures.“
“Tampa Palms and the immediate surrounding area has some of the best cultural food options in all of the greater Tampa Bay area, and I may have found the best Turkish Street food in all of the land at 1453. I have had many good experiences in life especially when it comes to food and this food truck put me in the passenger seat as they drove me around flavor town. I wish I could have tried one of everything, but the main feature of this plate was the donor kebab. Tender and delicate gyro style lamb adorned with grilled veggies and rice. I wish I had words to describe the flavors but spices came on this plate that I could not capture other than acknowledging them as incredible. Had to throw a salad in as well which of course was included to once again be a testament to the value you will find on this menu. No question that I will be back and hopefully soon!“
“I learned about this little spot when I was delivering a doordash order from them. I decided to give the place a shot and ordered the chicken alfredo and it came with the garlic butter bread knots. A great pairing and a great meal. Will be returning.“
“In Tampa for work staying Downtown, walked in and my chicken pita was AMAZING. Abdul was really nice and welcoming. I didn't eat it until I got back to my hotel room, was so tempted to walk back and get another. Food was fresh and chicken was not dry and well seasoned. My go to whenever I'm in Tampa from now on.“
“From entering to exiting, the staff was very friendly. Well seasoned and flavorful Mediterranean and seafood dishes. Busch Gardens tries to hide this place with their half-mile wall, but we made the trek anyway! In a sea of burgers and nuggets at the theme park, we wanted something better and this place hit the spot. Happy campers!“
“My boyfriend and I stopped in to this location late night to grab dinner after the gym and were instantly greeted by two fabulous employees, Ellis and DJ. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt appreciated as customers and have been treated amazingly. They were out of the saffron basmati rice (it was cooking when we arrived but not ready yet) and my boyfriend and I typically only get that rice when eating at Cava however we decided to try the brown rice instead and it did not disappoint. The taste and quality of the food and soft drinks we had were superb. Ellis and DJ’s radiant, divine, and welcoming energy made mine and my boyfriend’s experience better than we could’ve ever imagined. Their persistent effort, compassion, and remarkable customer service has not gone unnoticed. The both of you have a genuine effect of radiating happiness towards your customers and I am very appreciative of that. Thank you once again! We will most certainly be returning to this exact location!!!“
“I placed a reservation to celebrate my mom's birthday for breakfast! When we got there the hostess was very friendly and our waitress was super attentive! They surprised us with a birthday treat for my mom too! Best customer service ever, and will definitely come back again!! Thank you guys so much for the superb service and DELICIOUS food!!!“
“During the past five years, we have enjoyed the authentic Turkish cuisine at Bayshore Mediterranean Grill. Having made several trips to Turkiye, we can attest to this fact! Thanks to the restaurant staff for providing excellent service. Special thanks to Rania, our server.“
