“Let me preface this by saying it takes alot to get me to leave a review. We just left Acropolis in Ybor after having not been in probably a year or so. Reason for that was because the service had become just 'meh'. Only the minimum and the servers in past years seemed bothered to be there. We live in South Tampa so if your familiar you know most places close on Mondays (today) and we were craving Greek so we headed over for another shot.We were seated immediately even with the restaurant being 3/4 full and we were lucky enough to get J.J. as our server. He was friendly, prompt, attentive and didn't skip a beat with our order. We watched him and two other servers (one of which I later met as the manager, Greg) not slow down the whole time we were there. It's the most on point I have seen 3 servers be able to service a restaurant and no customer was left wanting. We eat out quite a bit so to say that a quick stop in for lunch was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've had in a long time is saying something. We'll be back & soon. Great crew.-Tampa Native“
“Came here during the green river fest, and the men working here were doing amazing. They didnt know where the boss was at all, never came in, it was just the 2 men here and an extremely busy day and they held it together and got all orders out in a timely manner, they both deserve a promotion with a hefty raise!Dietary restrictions: I am celiac and ate the falafel! It is gluten free and amazing!“
“I've was introduced to this establisment, about 1 yr ago and have lived in TPA, for 50 yrs. I can say, with no hesitation, that this maybe thee best kept secret in TPA. The food is served hot and is sooo delicious!! A clean resturant with attentive servers too!“
“I always get the Greek, as a bowl, and it's one of my favorite meals of the week. Chicken is amazing and serving sizes are generous. I try to come early though as service can be slow when they get busy, and they sometimes run out of chicken post-lunch-rush.“
“Spent some time in Greece and since we got back, we've always been on a hunt for a Greek spot that feels similar to what we were eating over there. We jumped around multiple islands and weren't limited to touristy spots, so got a good feel of authentic Greek cuisine. Acropolis truly exceeded our expectations and wound up being honestly the closest thing we've had since our trip. Absolutely deserves 5 stars.“
“Sam is the best! Every time I come in he takes care of me and cooks whatever I'm on the mood for. I just moved to Tampa a few weeks ago from Kansas City and he's helped make me feel right at home. And don't forget to ask for the Turkish hot sauce if you like it extra spicy ;-)“
“Davis Island is one of my favorite parts of Tampa. This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice because we had a pup with us. We started off with some wine, which was okay. The star of the show was the gyro platter. The platters are so satisfying as there are a variety of things on the platter. there's pita, feta, a boiled egg, olives, potato salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, and dolmas. The Taziki sauce was great. Definitely satisfies all the craving. Can't wait to go back and try some other things. There's street parking and lots of other great bars and restaurants close by.“
“Home of the $10 meal. Yes, you can get a tasty lunch for 10 George Washingtons, or two Abraham Lincolns if you prefer. The menu is fairly simple yet offers many choices. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon, and only one employee was working. He kindly took the order and made the food himself. No other customers while I was there. Cheeseburger and chicken strips got thumbs up from the kids. I had a chicken burrito which was interesting as the contents were cold (chicken was cooked), but I think that is how it is supposed to be. French fries were above average (which is good). There are a couple of places to sit down here as well if you wanted to eat at the establishment. It has a nice look inside and would probably make for a wonderfully peaceful place to eat your lunch.“
“A friend and I ate here while we were traveling through Tampa visiting my husband in the VA hospital. We noted a number of locals eating here. Always a good sign. I think they mostly do take out, but there were clean tables for dine-in. The ladies serving at the counter were very friendly. My friend had chicken strips. I had gyro and a side of black beans and rice. All was very good. And we both had enough left over for later. I'm anticipating the leftovers for my lunch today.“
“Great homemade breakfast , plenty of option to choose from , waffle was especially good , our waitress was friendly and attentive , the prices were especially reasonable. I do think the lighting and decor could be updated but it did not take away from the good food experience“
“As a Shawarma expert, I can confidently say that this is the best I've tried so far. The meat Shawarma is unparalleled, without a doubt the number one choice. The cleanliness of the establishment is remarkable, and the chicken Shawarma is simply adorable. Once you try it, you'll surely fall in love with Shawarma. Thank you!“
“Food is always good and fresh and employees are friendly. Little note for the owners are you ever gonna start using adult plastic forks spoons and knives what you are using now is for children at day cares for children 5 and under. Spend the extra $5 dollars a case for higher quality cutlery kits it’s very demeaning to your customers .I saw your weak response. You sound like a politician never answering the question do you want my business to continue upgrade the quality of your culinary kits.“
“Amazing service! Our Chicago deep dish was absolutely incredible! The ambiance was cozy and friendly. Everything was clean. All of our food was made with high-quality ingredients and tasted delicious. The small Greek salad is big enough for two or three adults. It's a great value for the money. We highly recommend visiting Cappy's in Tampa Palms.Parking: Plaza parking“
“So the staff and food is good. Staff left the door open and it was so cold..everyone was cold. I finally closed it, asking permission. Just suggest they have a bit more awareness. Since we were cold, I ordered 2 Greek coffees. They don't serve coffee! Food is good, but that made it feel more like a chain, which is it but never felt like it and not local yumminess.“
“I came and it is a little hole in the wall but the guy who took my order was super friendly and patient. The food was pretty quick and delicious. The gyros could've had a little more meat but I only like the meat and sauce so probably more with other toppings.. the WINGS are a must. I got the mild and lemon pepper and they were the best wings I've had in a while and a pretty good deal. They're not tiny either!! Last I got the chicken rice for my little one and the rice was pretty plain that is my only complaint but my 2 year old loves it so worked out. The chicken was good in the rice bowl as well! Try it out you won't regret it!“
“From entering to exiting, the staff was very friendly. Well seasoned and flavorful Mediterranean and seafood dishes. Busch Gardens tries to hide this place with their half-mile wall, but we made the trek anyway! In a sea of burgers and nuggets at the theme park, we wanted something better and this place hit the spot. Happy campers!“
“In Tampa for work staying Downtown, walked in and my chicken pita was AMAZING. Abdul was really nice and welcoming. I didn't eat it until I got back to my hotel room, was so tempted to walk back and get another. Food was fresh and chicken was not dry and well seasoned. My go to whenever I'm in Tampa from now on.“
“The Little Greek Restaurant is a hidden gem! The warm and inviting atmosphere, paired with the authentic and flavorful Greek cuisine, makes every visit a delight. From the juicy lamb skewers to the creamy tzatziki, each dish is a culinary masterpiece. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you'll be treated like family. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the delicious flavors of Greece right in your neighborhood. Five stars all the way!“
“Have been wanting to rey it for a while. I was very happy withthe Gyro, the meat portion was perfect. Usually Gyro places do not put as much meat inside anymore. The Tzatziki sauce needs a little more lemon/garlic favor. But I was pretty happy with my gyro. Service was fast. Would come back.“
“I've always ate chicken wings, then I got lazy and didn't like looking at a pill of chicken bones. So I jumped ship and started eating Boneless wings. Nicks has some of the tastiest chicken meat. You can order them plain of hot, just so delicious ?.“
“We loved everything here! We got a chopped Greek, gyro, rice pilaf, and the Greek fries. Everything was seasoned nicely and the portions were very generous. Rice pilaf was delish and came piping hot. Order at the counter, they bring the food to your table. Also like that they have a little sign with everything in the Greek salad bc every place does Greek salads their own way. Baklava cheesecake for dessert was great too! People nice and the place was clean and inviting! Will definitely be back!“
“Food is a little better in Tampa downtown locations , but here bigger dishes for my favourite humus , literally twice more . Typically, I’ll order two hummuses in a Tampa locations and I’m still hungry and that location I order one humus and it wasn’t able to finish it. And salad was little different than at Tampa D as well . But humus is most important for me , so now I prefer this location over Tampa D“
“As soon as you walk into the place was welcomed and provided the best customer service. Order process was quick and served with warmth. I do recommend the gyro with there soup and the fresh sweet tea well I love tea and very picky on certain teas but there’s was very good . DO NOT FORGET DESSERTwe got one of each to try them . Baklava cheesecake, rice pudding ?“
“Getting a table here ! Can’t go wrong here with drinks , Mesa appetizers , entrees , entertainment and excellent service. All your pleasure sensors are united with dining , vibe , DJ, drums and beautiful Brazilian dancers. It’s more than a dinner and a show it’s a memorable experience. Mediterranean based menu includes options for all , including the vegans. The people out to be seen are seen here. Well done DiO, second to none ?“
“Definitely a go to place for our family. Service is always friendly! Hundreds of options to mix up your order everytime. For us a big pro is that our children also love their food. Our little one scoops entire bowl of their mac n cheese and our 3 year old loves their skewers and desserts. Not to mention mine and wifes big favourites are greek salad-that dressing is best i've tried from similar places and their gyro is outstanding, so tender and very reasonably balanced with veggies and sauce. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“
“Visited Kipos Yesterday for lunch around noon Sol treated me fantastic She was wearing a shirt different from the other crew I am assuming she was a manager My first time visiting kipos she explained to me the whole menu I asked her what was her favorite she mention the Gyro plate so I got the gyro plate and it was delicious I am definitely coming back and also coming back for dessert she recommend it the cheesecake“
“Had the chicken salad panini which was great. Wife had a rice bowl and cleaned the bowl. The greek chips with Tzaziki sauce are the best!Parking: Parking is for a busy shopping center and a lot of spaces are reserved for specific businesses. Spaces seemed narrower than standard in the back.“
“The ambiance was inviting with a touch of sophistication. The cuisine was exquisite, though an expanded selection of gluten-free alternatives, like bread, would be appreciated.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options but nothing in terms of carbs“
“I didn't eat here, as I was just there to pickup food for my boss. Her order was ready in 15 minutes. ALL of the staff I encountered was very nice and professional; from the valet parking guy to the servers in passing, to the girl who cashed the order out. They accommodated my additional request without any hesitation. (Extra cup of ice with lemons). This place was a whole vibe! It was packed, so I can imagine how tasty their food is. Hopefully one day in my down time, I can squeeze in time for lunch here. It smelled good and the establishment was clean. Even though they were slam packed, the servers didn't look stressed or overwhelmed. They just went with the flow. Even without tasting the food, I rate this business with 5 stars. It is very welcoming. Parking isn't great, but it's doable. It's definitely an excellent place and I would recommend just through observation that this would be an excellent place to grab brunch at! Way to set the bar for these other small restaurants in Tampa. Whatever it is you're doing, keep it up!“
