“This was the most excellent Italian dining experience. As soon as you walk in you are met with an old time Italian eatery decor. The atmosphere along with the authentic Italian food aromas drew me in. We were met with a friendly greeting and taken to our table where our waiter Jeff suggested fresh seafood choices like snapper and shrimp. I chose the Snapper Oreganata with Linguine. This was the best piece of fish that I have ever eaten. Sorry mom. It was very tender and the white sauce was amazing. The chicken cacciatore was amazing too. My guest has been craving authentic Italian cacciatore and she said she found it. The garlic bread selection that came pre-meal was incredible too. The garlic butter combination was so good I would come back just for the bread. The side salad, while just a salad, was made amazing by the quality of the very fresh vegetables and the delicious creamy Italian dressing. Jeff, our waiter, was an amazing host. He was polite, friendly, entertaining, and extremely knowledgeable of the days fresh deliveries and made excellent suggestions for the evening. I only wish I had room for desert. “The food and atmosphere at Gianni’s is fantastic!! Unfortunately, our server was lacking. He was very curt, unfriendly, and seemed like we were bothering him by being there. I would like to add that this seems to be the exception to the rule. I observed 3 other servers who all were excellent! They were friendly, offered the specials (I didn’t even know there were any until I heard a server tell the table next to us), and also gave their name. I’m very sad that we missed out on excellent service, but please don’t pass up on this gem because the service by all but one, is excellent.“

“Love the atmosphere, my husband’s meal was good, Florida shrimp and scallops, light curry sauce, with pasta. I had the lobster ravioli and it just didn’t taste right, the lobster or clams were off. The brandy cream sauce was good. I must have ordered a bad wine as it was a bit bitter. When I mentioned the lobster ravioli didn’t taste right the staff commented that everyone loved it and walked away. The lemonchello flute was the best.I had the best food when I visited Italy and was looking forward to the class of meals from that country. Simple good food.My overall impression is just so-so, the staff seemed to be acting a bit haute where the atmosphere is fun, so I didn’t get it. Sadly, my expectations were not met.“

I had the Salmon Alla Vodka and mom had the Flounder special with artichokes and sundried tomatoes. Good portions, cooked perfectly and delicious! “We had dinner at 730pm on a Tuesday. Everything was outstanding. We shared two appetizer specials (polenta and prosciutto with burrata) which was plenty for our party of four. For our entres, two of us had specials (swordfish and artichoke ravioli) - just excellent. Two of us had items off the main menu (short rib pappardelle and risotto with shrimp) - also excellent (we all shared). The wine menu was small, but we found excellent and reasonable choices. This was our first time at this restaurant. If they do this consistently, it is one of the best italian restaurants in South Florida. We will definitely be back.“
“Ate here twice to provide a thorough review. Garlic knots were warm and very garlicky. Fine for me but could be toned down a touch for most pallets. The salads were fresh and amazing but the sauce was a bit watery which wasn’t aesthetically pleasing. Spaghetti noodles were firm. Marinara sauce was tasty and fresh. Eggplant parmesan was not memorable. I’m from MI where oddly we have a large concentrated population of Italians so I’m spoiled. Again it wasn’t bad and for a beach town should exceed expectations. The 4 cheese pizza was splendid! Very cheesy so you get want you asked for. Brilliantly cooked to perfection. Crunchy but not burnt. Thin and not heavy sauce. The service was stellar as well. She was attentive and sweet to our daughter. They are great about greeting you upon entry and exit.“
“Ordered a large cheese pie and I could not have been happier. I’m from the Bronx and I have lived in Florida for two years. Originally, I decided to give up on pizza because Florida pizza is yikes. “This place is a hidden gem in Pompano, I used to live right behind it and can’t believe I never went before. Finally decided to come for my anniversary and we had the best time. The server Chris was extremely friendly, great personality and gave us the rundown of how all the food is made and prepared fresh to order. We definitely could tell by how great everything tasted. One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten out, even got to speak with the chef Giovanni who I can confirm is Italian af. They know what theyre doing here and we’ll 100% be coming back soon. It wasn’t too busy when we came but even on a Friday night I’ll gladly come for the live entertainment and wait what I have to wait for food this level of quality and care. Hard to find.“
“I have to give LIP props for delivering a very good meal outside of their delivery zone. I loved the chicken francaise, garlic rolls, caprice salad, cannolis and creamy Italian dressing. “I got take out from here and the food was great, the portions are generous. Didn’t take fairly long for the order. Inside was pretty cool and would definitely like to come back to eat in person and try some of their drinks. The garlic rolls are really amazing, I liked the penne alla vodka it was very cheesy which wasn’t bad just not expecting it. And my husband loved his calzone. Overall a great find“
“A pleasant place to dine near the beach. Friendly and professional service. We went for the pizza. Delicious toppings, great flavors, thin crust but it was undercooked. Crust was soft, not crispy. Had to send it back to be cooked properly. Ask for it well done or extra crispy. Saturday night so it was busy but was hoping for some good pizza. Hmmm. House salad was delicious with fresh ingredients and we added extra blue cheese crumbles. House vinaigrette is thick and could have used more. We enjoyed Peroni on tap and a glass of wine.“
