“I'm from Ft. Myers. I work in Port Charlotte on Saturday. I've made a habit of going to Mercers for either coffee, breakfast, and sometimes both. This morning I decided to try a new item that I had not tried before. It's the egg and spinach breakfast wrap. Oh my goodness, LITERALLY!!! It's delicious! Huge, fresh spinach and veggies. Highly recommended for coffee and food. Great staff too.“

“The staff is wonderful. They are all very welcoming and polite. Sarah and Ryan (the owners) are amazing humans with such kind hearts. I’ve tried almost every drink on the menu and have never been disappointed. Downtown Kava has helped me A LOT throughout my recovery due to being a safe and sober environment. I have met and made wonderful friends hanging out here. DTK has honestly become my second home and I recommend this place for everyone!“

“Excellent coffee and helpful friendly staff!! We were there for the first time and weren't sure what we wanted to order but told them what we liked.... what we received was spot on and delicious! They also had a wonderful selection of tea, smoothies and food. A very quaint and comfortable atmosphere - We will be back!“

“The wife and I went for the prime rib special and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and professional. Save room for desert! The wife had the one scoop ice cream sundae and I had the one scoop banana split (both were awesome)!“

“Awesome Ice-cream and some unique options! I think there are some coffee and alcohol mix options too. I don’t drink but it might be interesting for those who do. Love that there is indoor and outdoor seating! There is parking right next to the store but it may be too busy to find something close given the location. Make sure to try the hurricane charley flavor!“

“Just a small coffee and ice cream dive located on the pier. You are greeted with a smile and a genuine customer first attitude! They have unique flavors available in cup or cone that are perfect for a hot gulf day. I tried the rum raisin and it was great.“

“Excellent. I hate Fast Food, however, I was desperate to have ice cream on hot Florida day. I called to see if the ice cream machine was broken, which is 70% .... but The lovely lady on the phone stated that the ice cream machine is operation. I pull the freeway, walked in ... the place was spotless, fast service... smelled good. I couldn't figure out how to use self service machine, and a lovely lady up front took my order. Fast!! Ice cream was delicious. 5 star to well run place!!!“
