We’ve lived locally for a year and I cannot believe this absolute gem was right in front of us the whole time. Mandola’s Italian Restaurant in Riverview completely blew us away from the moment we walked in.

Every single detail was exquisite — the service, the food, the atmosphere, the vibe… all perfection. You can genuinely feel the care and pride from everyone: the cooks, the servers, and the store managers. The attention to detail is unmatched.

When I say I left charmed, I mean it. I’m already telling everyone I know about this place, and we are officially becoming regulars. 💯

I’ve never been to Italy (it’s high on my bucket list), but wow… the second I stepped inside Mandola’s, it truly felt like I traveled. The warmth, the authenticity, the experience — just WOW.

“Frankie’s is as real as it gets for an Italian deli in Florida. I go back whenever I’m in the area. Very impressed with the sandwiches that offer NY staples like a chicken parm or chop cheese. The pizza is also pretty comparable to what you find commonly in NY.“

But the Sicilian we ordered a few days after Christmas was very disappointing. It was very busy and there was a long line. So I ordered online instead. The Sicilian pie was made on what tasted like stale Italian bread. Was difficult to chew, hardly any sauce, and the pie had No flavor. Tasted like cafeteria school lunch. So unfortunately we had to throw it out.

“A return trip to discover more goodies. A bakery that does not open til 11am is uncommon and detracts from the experience. All breads seem to have very chewy crust extetiors. Some of other items are just next level genius. The ham sandwich with bourbon ham, gruyere, bordier butter, le sanctuaire piment d'espelette and cornichon is brilliant. The croissant sticky buns and twice baked croissant w/ pistachio cream, apricot marmalade, frangipane and almonds make you wonder if this is heaven.

I greatly anticipated my first visit here after reading about it. It's a small place with a wonderful variety of baked products like bread and pastries with various other tasty sundries to choose from.

First I tried the french baguette. It's has a beautiful craggly interior but has hard and chewy exterior. The Beurre Bordier butter was great but I taste tested it with the Irish butter and the Kirkland grass fed and the exhuberant price is not warranted. The Double Baked Almond Blueberry Croissant was superp. The Uncle Sergio Sandwich was very tasty but much skimpier than their photo and the bread again hard and chewy.

Expect to pay top dollar for the things they carry. Easy to spend $50+ on just a few items. You pay restaurant pricing right at the bakery.“

I called the store and B ensured that my order got redelivered with no hassle. He was very apologetic even though it was not the store’s fault. Thank you for keeping the customers happy.“

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The cupcakes were unbelievably fresh and flavorful—hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. The macaroons were just as incredible, perfectly made with that ideal mix of crisp and chewy.

On top of the delicious treats, the owner was so warm and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in every item they bake. It made the whole experience even better.

If you’re anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Highly recommend!“

“My friend and I saw this place on Instagram and wanted to try these fluffy magical pancakes. They didn’t disappoint! We had crème brûlée and mango fruity pancakes. Customer service was terrific, and food was delicious and beautifully presented. Cool and chill vibe, definitely recommend.“

“I've been going to this discount bakery for over 10 years. This is where I get all my bread. Prices are about 1/2 what grocery stores charge, BUT most of it is either at or close to expiration. I have a large freezer so I buy for that. The best deal is the $2.00 Dave's products. I've seen them as much as $5.00 in the supermarkets. Flowers is one of the largest bakery corporations. They own Nature's Own, Tastycake, Wonder, Daves, etc. If you have a sweet tooth, the price on Tastycake products cant be beat. Sometimes, they are 2 for $5.00 or $2.00 a box. And they are pretty much the same as off the grocery shelf. I've bought boxes of cupcakes, donut sticks, and every kind of cake and they last weeks. Even if you only need a loaf of bread or two, it's worth going here. You will save money.“
