“The young woman helping serve us was helpful and courteous. I will say though that BR has become very expensive, the scoop sizes are smaller and the quality has gone down.Its almost soft serve at this point and there were ice chunks in the ice cream indicating it's been refrozen after melting.I wasn't impressed, but it was a beautiful day and Ice cream was what I wanted. It hit the spot despite the small portion and the product not being up to the BR standard I expected.If it wasn't for the staff, id have given the experience 3 stars. But the staff was great so 4 ?“

“Cookies are such an American staple. I found their Smores Skillet cookie to be the best one I tried. I've heard that people sleep on their cakes, and that's a mistake. They have, hands down, one of the best Strawberry Short cakes I've tried. The rest of the cookies I got we meh. I wouldn't come back for them.

The shop itself is super cute and quaint. I like that it's self service, however the staff should take a look at the cleanliness of the foyer. The floor was visibly dirty and neglected on my visit. Sometimes it's out of sight, out of mind, but the customer can see it all.

The people were friendly but seemed to be busy, so I guess that's a good thing for a business. Overall, I liked my order but the experience and cookies were pretty satisfying but average.“

“Augie Conde and I stopped at THE CITRUS PLACE on our trip home from St Petersburg last week. It's a really cool old school Florida souvenir shop and citrus market. It's located on route 301 just off of the first exit from the southbound side of the Sunshine Skyway bridge. It's owned by Trish and Carole. They were so kind and generous sharing some wonderful items and memories with us. We bought some vintage Florida souvenirs and some old citrus packing bags. We also bought tropical citrus jelly and marmalade. We'll be bringing the vintage items to the next FLORIDIANA FEST that will be held February 20-21 at the Sarasota Fairgrounds Potter Building. We're looking forward to seeing you there ! We'll definitely be back soon !“
