“Today I stopped at this cafe, dying of hunger after my workout. I was warmly greeted by a young man who said “Welcome to Jon’s Cafe! The best part of your day!” And it truly was!!
There were so many options it was hard to choose. I asked what Chef recommended and he suggested the Salmon Panini. I’ve never had salmon on a sandwich before. I really enjoyed the cheerful demeanor of everyone working there… and the smell of the food was divine. This really was gourmet compared to your typical university cafe. I took my first bite…. Mmm. Buttery toasted cheesey crunchy bread, the salmon was of excellent quality and complimented with excellent spices. This was exactly what I needed. I will be back- and bring my bathing suit next time to enjoy my lunch by the pool.i would have taken a picture, but i was so hungry it couldn’t wait!!!“

Kid-friendliness: Another patron came in with a "little" and I couldn't help but notice how great the waitress was with him.. even had a high chair for him.“

“One of our favorite restaurants in the past. Wonderful waiter, wonderful ambiance but food on this visit was very much sub par. One dish had no flavoring and was very bland the other which I get every single time and love was not even recognizable and the presentation of the wedge salad looked horrible. Very disappointing this time around. We will stay away for a while and try again sometime in hopes it was just an off night. If they have new chefs they might want to keep an eye on their reviews.“

“We were a large group of 10 people and had a wonderful time. Our server Kai was terrific. He was so personable, professional and was able to get answers to our questions. In fact, there was a menu item that I really wanted but it was only available in a meal deal that was not available when we were dining there. He asked his manager who was gracious enough to allow me to order it as a entree. The food was delicious, my sparkling sangria was outstanding, and our friends truly enjoyed it. Looking forward to returning again for a wonderful meal.“

“I can’t believe that I have known Dawn for at least 12 years and never had her cooking until tonight. I just so happened to be at an event she was catering and I have been kicking myself ever since for missing out on this truly gourmet food for so long. I had chicken and tortellini that was as scrumptious as if an old Italian woman had made it. The banana pudding for dessert brought me back to my childhood church luncheons. I’ll tell you what… if my wife cooked like that when I met her I would have put a ring on it even sooner. Dawns cooking is absolutely excellent. 11/10 recommend. Phenomenal!“

“The wife and I had dinner this evening at Captain D's. The young lady that took our order was super nice and even brought the meals to our table. The fish, fries and hush puppies were all fresh and hot. The dining room was clean and well stocked. This was our first visit to Captain D's in Dade City and we WILL be back.“

“Me and my husband came for a drink and dinner on a Tuesday around 6:00pm, there was no wait to be seated, plenty of booths available. TVs on but not to loud . We felt like the alcohol drink selection could be better, we ordered the pink lemonade and the dragon fruit mojito, both were just ok , they could have used more flavor. The food was amazing. We ordered the sampler appetizer , the chicken tenders were so good and moist! We ordered ten wings half buffalo which were good, the other half we got in the new smoked maple and it is to die for!!!!!!! We ordered the Tuesday special as well which is two tacos with chips and salsa, the tacos are very filling alone and flavorful! We were very happy with all of our food!!! Service was good as well. We moved about five minutes away and will definitely return.“

“Bit of an argument was going on between staff members apparently two different crews were working the same shift because of hurricane damage at a neighboring store.
Other than the drama service was great and food was okay not up to normal standards for what I’m use to at this location
I will of course be back I know it will be better after we all get out of survival mode“

“I love this IHOP. We frequently eat here. The staff know us by name and are always friendly even when it’s super busy. We eat breakfast here at 5x a week. Most times our drinks are on the table before we even walk in the door (they know our car!). Whitney, Tiffany, Noah, Leah (the singer), Diana, & Shaun are all great servers. The food is always delicious and fresh especially when Fernando, Tony, & Ron are cooking. And when Amanda’s helping the servers get their food out she rocks! If there’s ever an issue all we have to do is tell our server and they do everything they can to fix it. Love you guys! LuvM&C“

I ordered a hamburger, small fries and a small drink. They wanted $20+ change. I cancelled the order. Just too much..I went next door to Jersey Mike's and got a great Sub , chips and a drink for $12. 5 Guys will price themselves out of business.“
