A Taste of Germany is amazing! We’ve been there a couple times and were really impressed with the quality of their food. Their liquor cakes are to die for! If you find yourself in the Sarasota/Siesta Key area, you have to stop at A Taste of Germany. You’ll be very glad you did!
We've owned a condo on Siesta Key that we rent out for 17-years now. Being foodies, we love trying different restaurants in the area while we're down here. After seeing this restaurant each time we drive by it, as we're headed to Turtles Restaurant or Ophelia's, today was the morning to try it out! What a huge disappointment. The man behind the counter was not at all welcoming nor friendly. I even mentioned to him that it was our first time here. No reaction of any sort nor conversation....read full review

Love the rum cake from here that they were selling at siesta key rum. We drove an hour to try this place out! Unfortunately they left a note on the door saying they closed 2 hrs early. Guess we will try again next year.
