“Best jalapeño bagel I’ve ever had. So much so I waited in line just to tell them that. Breakfast bagel, double meat and provolone. Fantastic. I’ve had my share of bagels and always Jalapeño, and Buddy’s is a must stop institution in Sarasota. The place is authentic NY, including the Pork Roll.“

“I had filled out a survey from a previous order and was sent a coupon for two free bagels as a reward for my feedback. Today, I went to collect on my two free bagels. However, I was immediately asked what I wanted to purchase in order to receive my two free bagels. Mind you, nowhere on the coupon did it state that I needed to make a purchase in order to receive my two free bagels. However, instead of arguing about it, I just went ahead and ordered a deli sandwich. The sandwich came With lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard. I ordered it no tomato. I looked on the screen. It had everything listed, including NO TOMATO. The very nice employee who took my order, talked me into a chocolate chip cookie instead of getting the chips that normally comes with the sandwich. However, when I got home, my sandwich had tomato on it, but you know what it didn’t have? Any mayonnaise or mustard. So it was a very dry sandwich. You Know what else I didn’t have? My cookie! It’s possible, I was supposed to pick the cookie up out of the basket, however, if that was the case, I wish they had told me to go ahead and grab one. Needless to say, I don’t think I will be going back in for any “free” food, and In the future, I will always check my order before walking out the door. Lesson learned!“

“When you find hidden treasures that are too good not to share ❤️✝️. I was so blessed to hear they were open New Year's morning. I walked in and was greeted by the usual pleasant hellos and an extra special treat as they had their festive holiday parade cars out front featuring Jesus in the manger. It was a blast from the past with the old-time Rudolph and old-fashioned elves. I was emotional thinking about Christmases as a small child up North and the same figurines that would be set up in front of my grandmother's house. I want to tell you the food is the absolute best. My favorite is called 'Bees Knees' (a bagel with bacon, egg, cheese, chive cream cheese, and honey drizzle). But beyond the great food, it's the service and the presence that ties it all in. I don't usually share stuff like this, but I felt compelled to do so this morning. If you're in the area, I highly suggest you visit this mom-and-pop NY bagel shop.
